We had a great experience. Had to take our 11 year old Welsh Terrier in as she was not herself, experiencing incontinence issues. I called on a Friday morning and we were seen the same day. The person answering the phone was professional and friendly- even offered to call our prior vet in San Diego to obtain records so they would be on hand for our appt. The vet techs were great, very gentle and thorough. They asked all the right questions and were calm. The vet herself couldnt have been nicer or more caring. She did a complete exam, ultrasound and urinalysis. After that she gave me the option of running a blood panel- at no time did I feel pressured or made to feel guilty to run such tests. I opted to do the blood testing and senior blood panel to rule out kidney issues. They spent well over an hour with us and said that the results would be in the following day. Saturday morning the office called just to see how our Lucy was doing and assured us that we would get a call from the Dr later in the afternoon with the results, which did happen. Results were clear and she was put on an incontinence medication. Overall I give this office 5 stars. Not only are they friendly, the office and waiting areas are spotless, they have cold bottled water and a coffee machine, plenty of treats for our fur babies and it doesnt have that animal smell. Thank you Caring Hands! We will return!

Our relationship with Caring Hands began when we were fostering cats and kittens for Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) and taking them to Caring Hands Centreville location for sick visits, vaccinations, etc. As rescued litters tend to come in with at least minor health issues, and very young kittens require many vaccinations, we were at the vet frequently. Over time we got to know the staff and doctors who were always very competent, kind, and their love of animals shone through on every visit. For example, a technician took a particular liking to one of our foster kittens and would always be pleased to see her - she, and the other staff, have a passion for animals that goes beyond simply doing their job. Once we adopted cats of our own, we still traveled to CHAH Centreville even though it was a 25-30 minute drive from our house (without traffic on 66 - which is not often without traffic). We were quite happy when the Merrifield location opened up, and Dr. Richards and the staff there have built the same trust we had in the Centreville location by providing consistently excellent care. We really value having Caring Hands as part of our local community, and we recommend them often to other pet owners.

This is by far the best animal hospital weve been to in the area. They actually take you into the room when youre appointment is without making you wait. The vets are extremely friendly and helpful. They love animals. You jest. What vet doesnt like animals, you say? The last vet we went to before Caring Hands, you could tell, he didnt like cats. Dr Richards has called us two days in a row helping us deal with a sick cat. Dr Baxter called a specialist during an emergency and got us in to see them when others wouldnt schedule us that day. They have a vet on call 24 hrs a day. They go out of their way to help. Theyll cut the pills into quarters for us. Have free water/coffee in the waiting room. Im so glad we found this place. Its really helped us.

Phenomenal service!! They truly care about the needs of the pets that come in to see them. I would never take Oliver, my 9 month old puppy anywhere else. He gets so excited to see the staff and tries to wiggle his way around the counter. I have always been able to call them with any questions or concerns and the front staff never hesitate to ask the doctor for me. I highly recommend this Vet to anyone looking or in the need for a great place to take your fur babies!

Wonderful Doctors and Staff! My wife and I moved out from DC to Fairfax and we began searching for a Vet! We grew tired of the larger Veterinarian practices that only looked at us like dollar signs. We want to find a veterinarian and staff that really showed real concern for our dogs and treat us like family. Caring Hands Animal Hospital is wonderful and their doctors and staff are amazing! You will not regret the decision to move your pet care to them!

Called and scheduled appointment which, with their office hours, met my schedule. Staff was very friendly and care about the pets. Vet provided the check up and feedback I needed.
