Overall, we usually have a good experience when going to this vet. My cat is TERRIFIED of the vet, and usually pees all over himself before we get out of the waiting room. They are always so sweet and patient with him. Last time, they even bathed him after he had an accident, and cleaned up the floor and his cage for me (even though I tried to take care of it myself!). We used to have a large boxer, and sometimes it seemed like the doctor was intimidated by him, and slightly stand offish when checking him out. More recently, I went with a friend to get her new puppy checked out, and the female vet that did the checkup was relatively rude to us. Were both kind of young, so Im not sure if she assumed we were clueless about animals or what. She kept referring to the dog as "he" even though my friend corrected her several times, and she lectured us about everything she assumed my friend was doing wrong (before asking anything). Which is not a big deal, Im sure she was just looking out for the dog. Anyway, the girls there have always been soo sweet and really seem to love animals. Compared to other vet experiences, I would definitely recommend this vet.

I wont go anywhere else. When my husband and I moved to SC, we drove our pets here for their care. They took care of all my animals as a child and now as an adult as well. Twice they went to parents home to put down our ancient dogs rather than have them come into the clinic. Very knowledgeable, very loving, very trustworthy. The office is clean, the staff is caring and considerate, the doctors are truly there for the animals and treat clients pets as their own. They always take time to educate us on they whys and whats of our pet care and help us make informed and educated decisions which fit with our family. My animals have always loved the staff and docs who make sure to spend time giving them pets and loves (and treats for the dogs!). I could write on and on to sing their praises, but suffice to say that this a truly great veterinary office.

I brought my pregnant dog there a few days before giving birth because she was itching her ears and having some discharge, I walked out with a $400 bill. They ran tests without my permission, gave her an X-ray and said she was too big for the machine (it must only be for cats) and said it was too blurry to read but still charged me for that too. The doctor told me the X-ray showed 7 puppies.....she had 13. The doctor called me a few days later to give me test results and I told her that my dog has been in labor for over 24 hours and asked her if thats normal and asked how long she should be in labor, she said........hold on, let me look that up.

I am extremely pleased with the emergency care rendered to my pet. Dr. Porter has been fantastic this week, he is absolutely outstanding, he did us very well and provided an excellent referral. I think hes the best. Dr. Hawkins is also very experienced. The nurses and technicians care a lot about their work (Hi Kenny!) and are also superb. WBAHs facility is also well maintained with ample space and light. The level of cleanliness here is outstanding, and important because all of our pets are sensitive to the smells of other animals. I am certain that my pet has been comfortable in the facility and around all of the good staff here.

This vet clinic is great! The staff were very cordial and inviting, even as we showed up just before closing on a Saturday. They are very affordable. We had an exam performed, stool diagnostic lab samples, deworming medication, antibiotics and other stuff and the bill came out to only $150. The veterinarian was very friendly and explained everything that needed to be done with our puppy who was suffering from some intense diarrhea. Hes all better now and my husband and I could not be happier with the service we were given!

Horrible wait times. Been waiting for 45 minutes as I type this review. Not the first time Ive waited almost an hour to be seen. But the doctors are outstanding and their recommendations/prescriptions have always relieved all of my dogs issues

I have been bringing my fur babies here since 2004...i love Dr. Porter and most of his staff. If you want your fur babies loved and well taken care of...bring them here...you wont regret it
