After all the positive reviews, I was looking forward to an easy and painless visit. Cindy the office manager was great, very warm, positive and attentive. I am on a tight budget so we had discussed what my insurance would cover and what my co-pay would be. I was pretty clear that i wanted to stick to whatever my insurance would cover (which is a lot) and keep my out of pocket costs as low as possible and if there were out of pocket costs to know them in advance. As I was waiting for the cleaning to begin, Dr. Crisp comes in and sits down and says I dont think this office is a good fit for you because I dont do amalgam fillings. Huh? I realized there had been a misunderstanding and as I tried to explain she kept cutting me off until I finally asked her to please let me finish. I had already wasted an hour and half at the office, rearranged my schedule to come in earlier because someone had cancelled before me, and I didnt care if they did amalgam fillings or not - there had just been a mis-communication about my out of pocket costs for the composite fillings and I was fine with the out of pocket cost. I tried to explain the mis-communication but she didnt care and basically kept insisting that she would make some calls to find me someone who does amalgam fillings. When I tried to explain to her that I understood my insurance didnt cover almalgam fillings, and that most dentists use composite fillings these days, and that I knew this because my brother was a dentist her response was "So, my husbands an attorney." Alluding to the fact that I am an attorney. When I asked, I dont understand what the problem is, she said, "well you basically told me to shut up." Excuse me - I asked her to let me finish explaining the mis-communication when she kept cutting me off and was clearly insistent on not treating me after having wasted my morning. Apparently, trying to clear the mis-communication and asking another professional woman to give you the courtesy to explain is paramount to telling her to shut up. If you are an intelligent, knowledgeable, and assertive woman, I would not recommend this office. I would give this place 0 stars if I could, but I did like Cindy.

I had a very pleasant experience at Twin Hickory Dental. Few years ago, I had a root canal treatment done by a dentist at Michigan. Immediately after treatment, I had a swelling in that tooth. It did not hurt. But, after few years, I start experiencing pain at the site. Twin Hickory Dental immediately diagnosed the problem. It was a case of failed root canal treatment. Fortunately, Dr. Patel thought that tooth can be saved and referred me to the right specialist for re-treatment of RCT. The specialist agreed with Dr. Patels assessment. After the re-treatment, my swelling and pain was complete gone. I was also diagnosed with few more cavities which were promptly taken care of. They explained me how my primary and secondary insurance breakdown works and what would be my final portion. It was a great experience with the physician as well as the office staff. I was particularly impressed by Dr. Patels medical knowledge, technical skills, as well as administrative grasp. I would definitely, refer my friends to this place.

I have positive experience with Twin Hickory Dental from Dr. Patel and her staff. Dr. Patel takes time to explain options, pros and cons for each option and provides recommendations taking into account the financials as well. Detail description eases or drives away any worries ahead of any procedure. The staff is engaged and attentive with a wonderful smile and care. Dr. Patel and her staff are very courteous especially in an emergency situation, which I experienced recently an hour before leaving town for a long weekend, just minutes before closing time, I was instructed to come in; tooth and crown were repaired without rushing any procedure or skipping any steps. The staff did not mind staying late helping in any way for a successful repair. I thank Dr. Patel and her staff for painless experience and enjoying a trip out of town, the tooth is doing well which made me a happy camper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had severe pain in my third molar. I contacted Dr. Patel’s office and was advised to get antibiotics for few days. On Tuesday, I went to her office for evaluation. She was upfront on her opinion. Considering the extent of infection, pain and poor salvageable tooth, she advised me to get an extraction. My extraction went very well, completely pain-free. When I came back home from my job in evening, I realized that I was still oozing from the extraction site. I contacted Dr. Patel and she advised me to come back to the office. She opened her office even in late evening for evaluation. By the time, I left her office, my bleeding had completely stopped. She is very caring!! Great office with great services!!

I have been a dental patient at Twin Hickory Dental since it opened and feel like family when I go. Dr. Crisp has selected a nice replacement. Kind of concern initially, but after meeting Dr. Patel fear went away. She is very thorough and truly care about my oral health. Aside from the great customer service, the quality of preventive and restorative care, I have received is second to none! Getting a filling and root canals have never been a fearful or painful experience at Twin Hickory Dental, unlike previous experiences elsewhere. I recommend Dr. Patel and the great office staff to all I know. I also appreciate the music that is played in the office

Dr. Patel has a very kind personality and a gentle demeanor. I needed a lot of work done after going several years without dental treatment and she has taken very good care of me. Dental visits are not something rational people look forward to but every effort is made to ensure my comfort and her results are top notch. The bottom line is that I am happy with my teeth now and that is entirely due to her skills. She takes great care to ensure that there are no rough spots or obvious patches and fills. She has even fixed some bad work done by another dentist years ago. Its easy to schedule and they always send a reminder text. Highly recommend.

Before my knee surgery I needed some major dental work and my local dentist could not perform it. I had heard Dr. Patels name from a friend in Richmond. Making an appointment with her office was very easy. Her front desk is very nice especially Lynette. She put my anxiety to ease. The set up is very pleasant. And then I met Dr. Patel. Her smiling face just put all my worries behind. She took her time to explain everything. Her professional manners are awesome! Her work is so far the best one I had. I wish she had opened her clinic in my city as well!

Nice clean office. Easy to schedule appointments. Quick timely reminder via email and texts. Dr Patel is very knowledgeable. I had cheek bite from time to time and have seen Dentists in my previous residence in MN and in VA. No one was able to diagnose concretely. Dr Patel figured out at my 1st and initial appt that it is my wisdom tooth which is causing the cheek bites and needs removal. Highly recommend.
