Dr. Costa does several things I like, such as leaving a voicemail after appointments to followup. Nevertheless, the majority of interactions I have had with his practice have been negative. For example: 1) In 2015, I had 2 temporary and 1 permanent crowns placed by Costas office fall out and was charged over $150 out of pocket to get them re cemented because I had maxed out of my insurance coverage for the year. I didnt think it was fair that I was charged to get the crowns recemented, especially the permanent one since it shouldnt have fallen out in the first place. I protested but I was required to pay anyways. 2) My dental insurance changed last year. After this change, during my next visit to the dentist I asked if my new insurance was still covered, and I was told by the receptionists that it was. What she didnt tell me was that it was now "out of network", so the co-pays would be much higher. I didnt learn this until the end of the year when I demanded more information why my dental bill for the year was so high ($4,000+). 3) Nothing irks me more than after paying for a dental procedure at the office and then getting an invoice in the mail several weeks later for another large outstanding balance. THIS HAPPENED EVERY TIME WITH DR. COSTAs OFFICE. Not sure why this was the case, but it obscures the true costs of the procedures. If you are willing to pay any amount for your teeth, I recommend Dr. Costas office. But if you are looking for a fair deal, I recommend looking elsewhere.

Dr. Costa and his staff are the premier dental office in Northern Virginia. Their professionalism and quality of work is outstanding. Ive been a patient of Dr. Costa for 3+ years and have mostly visited for routine cleanings and x-rays. Recently I had my first cavity filled by Dr. Costa and not only was I pain-free the whole time but Dr. Costa was efficient and very skilled in his work. The staff is well-trained and identify issues needing attention better than any dental office Ive visited in the past. I highly recommend Dr. Costa and his staff, their courtesy and professionalism will make you a lifelong patient!

My first trip to Dr. Costas office was in May of 2009 for a long overdue cleaning and check-up. The doctor and his staff were great. I felt welcomed from the moment I walked in the door and I was taken care of from the start. Four years and eight visits latter I can honestly say that I’m still surprised by the warm and inviting feeling I get when I’m there. Most importantly, my teeth have never looked better and I have the confidence to smile for pictures again.

Dr. Costa and his team are the best at what they do! After being both a patient and having the opportunity to shadow Dr. Costa I have seen more than the average person. From children to scared adults Dr. Costa and his team make sure you have the most comfortable experience possible.
