My experience (the eye exam) was fine no issues. I come in a few months later to order contacts and the doctor left LensCrafters and took all of the patient files? The doctor wont release the files to LensCrafters without a special request and if you fill out a paper to have them released to LensCrafters she is giving them a very hard time and takes MONTHS to return your file. If Chan Eye Care opens up a separate bussiness DONT GO TO THEM. They are very sketchy and I regret going to them. This whole experience has been VERY inconvenient.

If I could give no stars I would. I have been here for 3 years for my annual exam (out of convenience to my office). Every year they are consistently extremely late getting me in for my scheduled appointment. 20-40 minutes is not uncommon. This year it took 1 hour and 6 minutes of me waiting before I said this is ridiculous and left. If you are running off schedule please let customers know. If I show up on time for my appointment (early even), there is no reasonable way I should wait 1 hour to be seen. Why even have appointments?

Great new location and same wonderful eye doctor! I hated having to park way out in the Lynnhaven Mall parking lot and then walk so far for my appointments. But I did it because I liked Dr. Chan so much and she had been so highly recommended to me by family in the optical business. Very glad to see this new location open with parking right at the door. New office staff is extremely nice and helpful and Dr. Chan is always efficient, friendly, and accurate. An excellent place for eye care.

The wait is always over 45 plus minutes, the office is not the cleaniest, in fact when I went to go use the bathroom you can smell the old swear water from the drainage hole in the bathroom. The young lady at the front desk is nice, but you can tell that they are overworked. Only one receptionist to do EVERYTHING and only one doctor so if you can avoid going to this place unless you have a lot of time that you would like to kill.

Staff is friendly for the most part. Dr chan seems to care more for your money than give you customer service. They mistakenly undercharged me $10 and demanded I pay them. She wouldnt put my contacts prescription through if I didnt pay the $10 I could have used for the gas to take me there. She called me twice and emailed me to pay this money without apologizing for the inconvenience. Never coming here again.

Waited until after the exam to tell me she wasnt in my insurance network. So I was forced to pay $75 for an exam that would have been covered by my insurance company. Also wouldnt provide an emergency pair of contacts without purchasing a whole box with out of network benefits. I would never go back. I recommend others to find someone else.

As everyone else leaving their reviews, I cant get my contact prescription which is highly insane. If you move locations then you need to make sure your patients are top priority in assisting their transition. I do not wish to spend more money for an eye exam when IVE HAD ONE ALREADY...I just want my information PLEASE!!!!

I absolutely love Dr. Chan and her staff. I have never had any issues with being seen or with the length of time I had to wait before being called back. I have been going to her office for years and I highly recommend her for your eye care needs.

I called to refill my contacts and was told Dr.Chan no longer was practicing and the new owners did not have access to her records. So they said email her and otherwise I would have to do a new exam. NO

Surge Eye Associates now. Extremely slow service. Minimum wait of 30mins (with appointments) . Unacceptable. Unorganized. Once started appointments take over an hr (standard exam). Dont recommend.

Took me back right away and we dont have insurance and they were great with giving us AAA discount and didnt charge much at all. Would definitely recommend them.
