The staff at Gilbert eye care were great! They were all very friendly and professional. I went in for an eye exam and then purchased glasses. The girl who assisted with my eye exam was polite, friendly, and knew what she was doing. Dr. Gilbert was funny, friendly, and very thorough in explaining what was going on, the difference he could make in my vision, and the proper times to wear my glasses. Then I went to the front to shop for glasses. They make it extremely easy to try things on. Unlike other eye glass retailers, Gilbert Eye Care wants you to feel comfortable and they want to give the best experience, not just sell you something. The optician was very sweet, she started by asking what kind of frames I was looking for then picked several pairs out of the various displays and brought them to me to try on. I did not have to browse and become overwhelmed with choices. Once I tried on the initial selection and she got a better idea of what I was looking for, she was able to pick even more out that I liked. I ended up loving and purchasing a pair that I never would have even tried on if I had been browsing. I was very pleased and impressed with my experience and I will certainly be a repeat patient.

Ive been wearing glasses and contacts for over two decades and this is by far and away the best experience I have ever had getting my contact lense/glasses exam. The staff is beyond courteous and amazing. They treated me as though I the individual mattered and not just as one of a string of appointments as is usually the case at major retailer optical places. I loved it from start to finish and will seriously never go anywhere else. For those who care the price point is extremely reasonable and no different than any other place, but the service you get for it is completely different. Better. Definitely see them and youll be as pleasantly surprised as I was. I neeeeeeed my eyes for work and they took care of me like I was family and this was my first visit ever! Thanks again!!!

The best optometrist in Virginia Beach! Probably the most important doctor for me, as a pathologist, is my eye doctor and Dr. Seth Gilbert is wonderful. He takes the time to get to know me and my visual needs and works with me to make sure that I get the best vision possible. His chair-side manner is one of the best I have experienced both as a patient and as a physician. I highly recommend Dr. Gilbert and his wife. His wife evaluated one of my children after she failed a vision screening. Dr. Deena Falsetta was extremely patient and thorough with my daughter (she was 5 years-old at the time). She has a very calming and gentle demeanor with children and made my daughter feel very at ease. I highly recommend Gilbert Eyecare!

The outstanding customer service and a caring staff make this the only place my family goes to for our eye care. Dr. David Gilbert is a caring professional that makes certain I understand how my vision is changing and more importantly, he listens to my concerns and provides options that fit my needs. On the glasses side, they have a great selection of frames and their prices are quite fair, especially when coupled with the great quality of service they provide. Ive been coming here since 1988 for both my eye exams and glasses. That should tell you all you need to know.

Wow... We are so impressed with Gilbert Eyecare. We arrived in Virginia Beach for a vacation and my daughter realized she forgot to pack her contacts. Her eye doctor faxed her prescription to Gilbert Eyecare and they gave her a sample pair for free! It was a very generous thing to do, and it made our vacation much nicer for my daughter.
