I move around a lot and am heavily involved with cat rescue. I also own a dog for 4 years and have recently acquired two kittens and a puppy. I found Salty Paws after we adopted two kittens. The staff was very friendly both on the phone and in person. The vet attending during my first visit was cordial, she seemed very invested in the kittens health and gave good advice on how to control their temperaments. The vet assistant seemed inexperienced, but friendly. I was a little sticker shocked at my $187 vet bill. Especially after finding out the kittens were only 5 weeks old and needed to come back in 3 weeks for another check up and shots. The vet attending my second visit was much more animated and engaging, she even gave one kitten a free ear mite exam. Her assistant was slightly overbearing, she kept talking over the vet and myself, but I could tell she really cared about animals. Salty Paws also helped us out after we adopted a puppy with doctored paperwork. The staff immediately invited us to bring in the dog so they could inspect and verify its breed free of charge. The hospitals atmosphere is clean and charming with expensive benches and comical signs hanging along the walls. They sell a multitude of personalized pet decals from local vendors. The building itself is very kept up and the grounds are immaculate, set back from the highway surrounded by woods. This place is worth the extra expense, appointments are easy to schedule, the staff is committed and friendly. Definitely one of the better places Ive seen.

The worst hospital I have ever been to. I had a cat who I took there for shots and to be groomed. I had asked that they sedate her, when grooming her, because it was painful to her. When I went to pick her up, I knew something was wrong with her. I took her home and her behavior was strange. I called the hospital to talk to the Vet. She would not return my call. I wanted to know what had happened to my cat. Over 2 week I tried to contact her. I finally I went to the hospital to confront her about my cats treatment. She was hiding from me, I asked the lady out front many times that I was waiting to speak to her. She would not come out and talk to me. Finally I Walked back there thinking I would confront her. I could not find her. She had left the building. I never could get her to talk to me. I had to go to another vet for treatment. KATIE, never fully recovered and Im not sure what she did to her, but I did know I had to go to another group

We took our puppy to this clinic for the first time yesterday. The staff was very welcoming and courteous, and the clinic was quite clean. As my wife said, "The staff seemed like they never had a bad day in their lives." Everyone just seemed generally cheerful. The wait was very short, and Dr. Blessing was patient with all of our questions and answered every one of them. The exam was thorough, and not expensive at all. We even got a "new puppy packet" with a DVD, a dose of Frontline, and tons of great information. Overall, we are extremely pleased with our first Salty Paws experience and have no reservations about returning to them for future exams and needs.

Friendly staff, knowledgeable doctors, high prices. My dog was experiencing some anxiety issues and I had some questions about it. So I scheduled an appointment to speak with someone about it. Everything they told me seemed the same as they had said at previous appointments. The results seemed very similar to what I read by "google-ing" the issue. Only difference would be the physical they did, checking his ears, teeth, weight, and breathing. The appointment only took about 30 minutes but it cost $50. I suppose you get what you pay for, but this seems excessive for just a short consult. They also seem to offer a different product every time I go.

We have taken our dogs here for a few years now. And every time we bored them they both come home with ticks. Which I understand nature and they both have preventative on them. But its a simple check once a day when they are caring for them. Or at least check them coming in and before they leave. This last time one dog had tick completely under the skin. That has been there at least a day or so. Just so upsetting. Will not bored again.

It was my first time taking my own pet to see a vet. Of course Ive had others pets but they belong to my parents, but I somewhat knew what to expect from vets in general. The place overall was great. Fast, polite, and caring service. But be warned, if your dog bites playfully or as a warning of not comfortable, if you have the same doc I did your dog will get punched in the nose... just warning...

Ive been taking my dogs to Salty Paws for roughly 12 years. Never once have I had a poor experience. Today, I was absolutely blown away by the kindness and compassion shown to my family as we had to say goodbye to our baby. Dr. Johnson and both vet technicians were fabulous. They made the transition so much easier, and for that, I am incredibly grateful. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

I have pets of my own and I foster animals from time to time. Ive seen every vet in this office and most likely every staff member and they are all amazing. Everyone is friendly, patient and Ive never had to wait very long at all. The most important thing to me is how great they are with my animals. The whole staff is fantastic.

Cat doctor (one in particular) can be abrasive.
