Mellissa Van Tassell is my physician, after three office visits, I decided that she be my PCP. She is the most caring and empathetic physician, and the best one I know. My spouse died at Group Health and I left Group Health. Since then, I had a series of bad experiences with physicians, physician specialists and their clinics. Dr. VanTassell is very knowledgeable and patient to care for my diabetes to control my blood sugar level. Office manager Maria is very good and gentle to help me set up the Portal on my laptop, so I do not have to be seen with frequent office visits. The on-call physician, Dr. Leslie, is so courteous despite the interruption of her life routine. The front office staff are always cheerful. I had no problem to seek for appointment with another physician when Dr. VanTassell is not available. Dr, VanTassell and the efmc are the best thing happen to me for my healthcare. it restored my faith on the medical profession that seem going down hill on my series of bad experiences. These are my experiences at efmc to share, so others may benefit.

I love this practice. I have been a patient for over 30 years. Dr Denise Kraft is my primary care physician and I couldnt be happier with her services. She is an excellent physician and stay current not only on medical issues, but on insurance billing policies. This helps her develop treatment plans that will work with your insurance coverage. Over the years the support staff has had its ups and downs, but over at least the past year I have been very pleased with their service. They are kind and compassionate and have treated me very well. I have seen other doctors/PA/ARNP at times when Dr Kraft wasnt available and I have been pretty happy with the care I have received. Some I have liked better than others (I do agree with some of the other reviews about Linda Fluke - shes not my favorite) but I dont feel that I have ever received sub-standard care. I really like their extended hours - it makes it easier to see someone and not have to go to urgent care when something happens outside of "normal" office hours. Great practice. Caring professionals.

I would give them negative stars if possible. The day I made my first and now last visit to their office, they swiped my card twice to charge the co-pay. They said the charge didnt go through the first time. The nurse assistant was the rudest I have ever found. After my visit, about 3 months later their billing department sent me a letter asking me to pay the copay now with late penalties. I said them I have been charged the copay, I even showed them a copy of redacted credit card statement. They have lost their records of my payment and they are giving ME a hard time for it. Such irresponsible, unaccountable and insensitive people are running this business. Never ever visit them! After an excruciating back and forth conversation for 3 weeks now, the office have finally realized that they made a mistake and they sorted it. But guess what? youre not gonna see me visit you again. I would suggest the readers as well to weigh-in if its worth their time to deal with this practice.

I have been seeing Dr. Kraft for about 30 years and have been through lots of staff at EFMC. They have their ups and downs like any large practice. While I have had experiences that were less than perfect, generally I have always been happy at EFMC. The staff has treated me with care and respect. I can typically get an appointment fairly quickly - although not always with my own doctor. That isnt a big deal to me. When I need to see a doc quickly Im not going to quibble about who I am seeing. I love that I can get my mammogram taken care of in the same office - I dont have to schedule two annual appointments like most of my friends do. In the past year I have definitely seen improvement in the reception staff - they are always pleasant and respectful. The nurses are great! They listen very well and are efficient and friendly. Im going to be very sad when Dr. Kraft retires and I have to see another doctor.

Been a patient here for 23 years, and Ive finally had enough. Ive been left in an exam room and forgotten about, watched receptionists roll their eyes when on the phone with patients, been told that it could take 3 days to have my acute problem addressed, fought to get calls back from billing (finally had to go to the office) and the problems go on and on. Recently tried to get an Rx for refilled before a trip only to have the wrong dosage called in. Waited two days (was gone by then) before the correct dosage was ordered. Why did I stay so long? Loved Dr. Van Petten, who recently retired. Always told her that when she goes, I go. Really tried after she left, but cant stand the problems anymore.

Our entire family sees Dr. Egnal as a our primary care physician. We have seen a number of people on staff over the years as needed. We LOVE this office and everyone in it! The nurses take their time with my kids and make them feel special and at ease with shots or any uncomfortable tasks. Dr. Egnal is present and interested in all facets of our lives. We feel a personal connection and are extremely pleased with our relationship with this office. The appointment desk is always more than accommodating and the support personnel have been prompt and professional. Please dont judge them based on a few bad reports..... there are so many happy families in their care, like us!!!

My regular physician is Dr. Paras, and she is wonderful. She really listens and seems to feel she is a partner with me in my health care. My husband, kids, and I also periodically see other doctors, nurse practitioners and physicians assistants in the practice. We have always been impressed. And I have to give huge complements to the office staff. They have gone out of their way on more than one occasion to assist me, and are always pleasant to work with. I transferred to this practice from another practice because of repeated poor experience with the previous practices office staff, so this means a lot to me!

I have been with Dr. Egnal since 1994 (23 years now!!!!) when he was first recommended to me. I cant imagine where my health would be--physically, emotionally, and mentally--without his caring, his knowledge, his sensitivity and his obvious love for medicine, his patients and their well-being. Additionally, every referral he has made has also been top notch. Being able to trust him and those he recommends is crucial to our ongoing and growing relationship. Also, because of his scheduling strategy, I am always able to get in to see him when needed. He genuinely cares. I wish there were more like him.

Please think twice about a visit here. The Drs here are great, but the business side of things can really put you in a bind if you dont watch closely. I have made appointments and showed up early only to find they were never officially scheduled two times. You WILL need to try multiple times when trying to reach billing or management, Miranda the office manager does not return voicemails or backfill herself if on vacation. No way to get medical records if you need them quickly. After 5 years here as my primary provider I decided to switch to another facility because of management procedures here.
