My cat had a very bad paw fracture from an unfortunate accident. I took him to the vet ER in kirkland first. Long story in short, I end up consulting 3 surgeons. I have medical background, being a doctor for a human, I did extensive research as well. I have a pet insurance and cost was not an issue if he needed a surgery, but I wanted to know what is best for his paw. First one Dr. M said we should do surgery arthrodesis immediately while the injury is still in acute phase. 2nd surgeon said he would wait and see for a few months. Then I took him to Dr. Fry for the 3rd opinion. He explained everything well which made complete sense to me and we waited to see without surgery. My cat fortunately healed very well without surgery and doing great! I waited over a year to post this to see how he does longer time. Im so glad I did not proceed to surgery, I think his function would have been worse with surgery because arthrodesis is basically distroying the joints and fix it, the last resort type surgery. Anyhow, Dr. Fry is fantastic since he gives you a honest and best recommendation for your furry family. He would have made more money if he did surgery on my cat. He takes time to explain and answer questions.

Not sure I "loved" it -- who loves surgery on their dog? Definitely gets five stars from me, however. My Australian Shepherd has had two TPLO surgeries in the last three years. The second one was done by Dr. Fry in Nov. 2014. Everyone in his office was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Dr. Fry is confident and reassuring. I felt no pressure to make a decision one way or another and he was really thorough in explaining all my options to me. His fee is all inclusive, which I really liked, and compared to the first surgery on my dog at another clinic in 2011, this one was a dream. The incision was smaller, the shaving was less, the pain was really well managed and there were no surprises. Unlike most other vets, his office is set up for surgery and pretty much that is all they do there. If your dog needs surgery, Dr. Fry is your guy! I highly recommend him and all the folks at his office.

Dr. Fry performed surgery on our Labrador Retrievers - a TPLO leg surgery and a throat tie-back. He is a great vet surgeon. Not only did he do a great job on our dogs, but did several follow up visits for free. He is very practical and has given us great advice that hasnt cost us an arm and a leg. We wish he could be our regular vet, but his specialty is surgery. He and his staff genuinely care about the animals brought in to the clinic. I would give his clinic 6 stars if I could.

Went here for my labs TPLO surgery and had a very pleasant experience, despite the circumstances. The techs and vet are very nice and knowledgeable. Helped get us through the surgery and recovery with no issues afterwards! Our pup is back to being happy and healthy!
