We just moved here from out of state and needed to find a Vet for our dogs. We read the reviews online and made an appointment for both dogs to see Dr Estes. Absolutely, hands down, fantastic doctor. Dr. Estes came in and introduced herself to us. She apologized for running a little late (which was only about 10 min). She told us she was going over the transcripts from our previous vet. After the introductions she began doing a complete and thorough exam on both our dogs. She also started asking us questions regarding the transcripts that were sent to make sure that we were all in sync regarding the core vaccinations that are required. Dr. Estes was an absolute professional who treated our dogs like they were her own. We are extremely happy that we now have her as our vet. As for the staff, I need to give a shout out to two great guys: Mike and Joe. These guys were awesome. Mike helped out Dr. Estes and then made sure that we were all satisfied with the care and made sure that we were loaded up with heart-worm and flea and tick preventive medicine. Joe made sure that our dogs were well taken care of when they had to go back for their shots and for one of them to get chipped. I am not exactly sure what happened in the back room but they were all happy when they came back into the room. Way to go Joe. Anyone looking for a vet, this is the place to go. Dr. Estes, Mike and Joe are top notch and we are so glad we found them.

I recently switched to Rocklin Ranch Veterinary Hospital after going to Loomis Basin for many years. Due to a lack of customer service and the fact you get a different doctor every visit, it was time to move on. Rocklin Ranch came highly recommended by two different friends. Our 2 year old cat had been sick and in the hospital at Loomis and was not getting better. Now our new kitten was becoming ill. We called and got an appointment with Dr. Estes. The front desk took us back immediately (10 minutes before our scheduled time) and within a minute the vet tech was in the room. She had just started and Dr. Estes was in the room! Dr. Estes was kind and so caring with our two babies. She had read all the reports and test results from Loomis before even coming into the room. She knew her stuff. No need to repeat anything. She did the exam, took the necessary stool samples and had them sent off for testing. She outlined a plan of attack to get them better. Our visit lasted about 1 1/2 hours. She even called a couple of hours later to see how the cats were doing. Everyone has been so nice to us there. A bonus is that they board....no more driving to Sacramento or Folsom to board our cats and dog!!! My only regret is not switching years ago when I was first told about Dr. Estes.

Over the many decades I have been a pet owner and veterinary customer, I have had many vets, most of which were fine. However, it wasnt until this summer when I was preparing to move to Minnesota that I ever felt truly sad about having to find a new vet. Dr. Basra has, BY FAR, been the best vet I have ever met. He is everything you would want in a vet. He is intelligent, informed, easy to understand, caring, intuitive, friendly, down-to-earth, empathetic, open, receptive....I could go on and on. I am a native Californian, so dont get me wrong when I say this, but Dr. Basra brings his wonderful sense of Midwestern values into the room with him and everyone, including the animals can feel it. He puts everyone at ease and is completely trustworthy. He never tried to push unnecessary treatments and always had at least two options to choose from. In fact, he would point out if a more costly option was in any way the poorer of the two choices. This spring I am planning to add livestock (sheep and chickens) to my family of animals, now that I live on a small farm; I truly wish I had Dr. Basra nearby. Ill just have to hope that the Midwest will have a vet that can measure up to Dr. Basras Midwestern values. ;-) Thanks Dr. B!!

We love Rocklin Ranch & Dr Estes, Dr Basra, Dr Kaur & all of their staff!!!! I first brought my older Chihuahua Elsie Moo for treatment in 2005. Through her very kind, compassionate, & knowledgeable care Dr Estes saved Elsies life & kept her going for another 5 years to age 17. I have another sweet Chihuahua - Minnie Moo, now 4 years old. When Minnie was a little puppy she became nauseous & lethargic. Dr Estes did a thorough exam & found that Minnie had food allergies (especially to chicken). Dr Estes prescribed a strict diet & as long as Minnie doesnt stray from it, Minnie is now healthy, & as happy & close to perfect as she can be!! We are so thankful for Dr Estes, she is considerate, caring, detailed & a great listener. She always does her best to give the most appropriate treatment for your pet & always follows up afterwards to see how your pet is doing. Everyone at Rocklin Ranch is so thoughtful, they never forget & send ecards for the pets birthdays! Rocklin Ranch moved into a new facility, it is so beautiful, & they have the latest equipment & instruments to give your pet the best care possible. Thank you so much, Rocklin Ranch!!!! - Leah Barton (& Minnie Moo)

I love the staff at Rocklin Ranch Vet Hospital, as they are very compassionate and caring. I had two big dogs before my two little ones that I now own. My former dog, Spooky was a dalmatian, and Dr. Estes prolonged his life as he had issues with his joints( very bad arthritis, etc) She was very compassionate and kind, and when it came time to make the decision of keeping him alive vs just existing with pain so I could have him with me..she helped me. Spooky was 14yrs old and I miss him. I also had a chocolate lab named Charlie and Dr Gee helped me with him, which I appreciate. He passed away on the way over to me bringing him to Rocklin Ranch to see what was wrong with him. When I arrived at the vets, Dr. Estes said that maybe he might have had a hidden tumor..anyway... I now am the proud Mom of two chihuahuas, Mocha and Nacho Libre. Dr. Estes has told me that I am doing a good job with the transition of Bog Dog Mom to little Dog Mom. I love all the Vets at this facility and would highly recommend anyone who has a pet to bring them here. Thank you for all that you do for us.~ Paulette Barton

Today was my first ever experiencing such a professional visit for any dog Ive ever taken to see a Dr. First the building is like no other, its beautiful and very inviting. Your greeted promptly with a smile and taken with hardly any wait time to a room. Secondly, an assistant came in introduced him self as Mike and was so professional with questions I thought he was the Dr. Third Dr. Gee came back in with Mike and just like us being at a doctors appt. Mike took notes as Dr. Gee examined my do. Again, Ive never had a Dr. take the time and do such a through exam as Dr. Gee. She was friendly, very patient and didnt make you feel like she was in a hurry to get to the next patient. Although the cost of dental for my dog isnt what I wanted to hear, its not their fault hes got bad teeth. Its partly mine for not taking better care of them. So, because of how professional this staff is, Im going forward to make this our permanent vet source. Sincerely, Gizmos mommy
