If you need special lenses like I do dont buy your lenses at this store! My prescription requires progressive lenses (3 corrections: very near, computer distance, and far distance), an impact resistant lenses, and UV protection. I purchased a set of lenses (I had purchased La Font frames online) from this store two years ago for approx. $1,100.00. I requested a high index impact resistant lens per my ophthamologists advice, and specifically said I did not want polycarbonate lenses because in the past a lens in a pair of glasses I owned cracked. I explained that my prescription doesnt change much from year to year, and I anticipated at least 3 to 5 years of wear from the lenses I purchased. The man assisting me with my purchase argued with me, and insisted that I buy the polycarbonate lenses because in all his years of experience he had never seen a cracked lens. He was like the stereo-typical used car salesman, and used the same high pressure strategies. Eventually, I wore down, and purchased the polycarbonate lenses. Now that my 1 yr. warranty has expired (they did not have an option to purchase a 2 yr. warranty), one of the lenses has cracked. I highly recommend "SPEX" in downtown Seattle (on Stewart between 6th and 7th). I purchased a second pair of glasses with the same prescription, a different high index plastic lens, including the frame for $850.00. A few weeks ago, one of the nose pieces on this pair of glasses broke off (metal frames would have required sending them out to be repaired), and they replaced the frame for nothing, yup, $0.00. Their glasses have a 2 yr. warranty, also at no cost!

On January 10, 2013 I went to LensCrafters #183 located at 401 NE Northgate Way, Suite 530, Seattle, WA 98125 for an eye exam and to purchase new frames with progressive lenses. I tried the new lens for 9 days and several times during that period I experienced a feeling of vertigo. Ive been wearing progressive lenses for several years but this was the first time I experienced such a sensation. I returned to the store on January 19th, explained my problem and was told I should perhaps opt for the more expensive style of progressive lens. I’d already paid a tidy sum and am not in a position to dole out even more money so I opted for the lined trifocals lens for which my insurance company, EyeMed Vision Care, would pay 100%. On January 23rd I returned for a fitting adjustment and spoke with Jeremy Dennis about the price difference between the original progressive lens and the lined trifocals I now had. I checked with my insurance company again and verified they paid the full amount of lined trifocals lenses. Jeremy told me someone would call me by the next day, January 24th. I also told him I needed a bill for the new lined trifocals lenses. Yesterday, January 30th one week after speaking with Jeremy, I received a voice message from Angela telling me my lined trifocals are considered progressive and whether lined or no line trifocals they are billed the same a progressive. So it appears even buying a less expensive lined trifocals LensCrafters still wants to bill the insurance company for the more expensive progressive lens.

I had a great experience here - for starters the last place I went to had diagnosed me with close angle glaucoma - not having the money to have the surgery I was resigned to the fact that someday I would have an episode and be "blind" - when I spoke to the Dr. at the clinic attached to Lenscrafters in Northgate she did a thorough examinaton and said I had normal healthy eyes - I felt her examination was very thorough and when I was done I was satisfied that my new prescirption would be much better than my previous one - after my exam I went to the Lenscrafters there to pick out frames and lenses - Angela, and Christina were absolutely top notch and a pleasure to deal with - they listened to my preferences and helped me pick out the exact frames I was looking for in there vast selection - also, there prices are second to none - I have been shopping for frames and lenses for the last 4-6 months and found there prices to be better than anyone elses - there fitting process is accurate and leaves you feeling like you are getting a great pair of glasses - dont be fooled by the negatives, this is a great place to get glasses at a fair price

Incredible service! I forget his name but the man I worked with was super helpful and very knowledgeable. He gave me room to meander the store while still checking up on me regularly. I loved being able to get my new glasses within an hour of finding the ones I liked. Even getting my eyes checked was fast and easy! I went in as a walk in and was seen within an hour. The woman I worked with was patient and talked through my options with me. The staff here was incredible! Side note, I noticed 2 girls that worked there that seemed a bit uneducated. One was super jumpy perky that seemed to follow people while not knowing what she was talking about, and the other was an older woman that was ABSOLUTELY CLUELESS. She was helping another customer and somehow she charged her for my glasses! Which billed my insurance and created a whole mess.. but again, the man I worked with fixed it quickly and made sure I left satisfied. Avoid the women I mentioned.. aim for the guy!

Initially, I thought I was going to have a great experience this morning. I arrived early to get my frames adjusted and select a new pair of glasses. I was greeted by an energetic associate who seemed very attentive. Unfortunately, I was wrong, this store has the worse customer service. I was directed to select frames that I liked and to wait at a station to make my final selection. Well, I waited and waited and waited and waited. The associate never returned; the manager did come over for 1 minute to check on me but never returned to help with measurements or anything. The store has a nice selection of frames, but customer service trumps everything.......

Love this location! Everyone is always so nice and accommodating. It gets busy sometimes, but they are always quick to greet me and let me know they will be with me as soon as they can. I have been buying my glasses from this location for years and have always gotten great, honest feedback! Love the entire staff!

Visited the optometrist to get my prescription (was free based on insurance). The optometrist insisted that my eyes had a similar prescription, but I know that my right eye is better than my left. Lo and behold my new glasses give me headaches. Will be going to a different optometrist in the future.

They can definitely learn a thing or two on good customer service....two visits this year, both bad!! Good selection of frames though!!
