I wouldnt recommend this place unless you want your dog to be treated like a object. The technician here arent really that professional. Their first off really rude but besides that they dragged my dog like a freaking puppet. When I came to pick her up from the technician I found her shaking like crazy and there were tears in her eyes. I also saw that the technician was dragging my dog out he didnt pick her up to carry her he dragged her. When I first dropped her off the lady who put her into surgery held her so I figure that shes in good hands and that they will be gentle but nope I was wrong. I came back to a mess my dog had pooped herself and was covered in her poop. I thought okay fine maybe their just having a rough day because I asked one of the techician why were they having such a bad customer service they said they had a lot of surgeries that day and I wa alike okay fine. Ill let it slide because everyone has their days everyone have bad days. However... Today when I went for a follow up on her stiches and how shes doing first of all I saw them AGAIN DRAG ANOTHER DOG BY THEIR LEASH. The owner saw that and told the technician not to do that. When I finally did see the doctor for the follow up he only spent like 5 second. He basically took a look at her and walked out after I asked if shes okay and ect.... I only got like 3-5 questions in and he walked out. When my dog was done she basically rushed outta there and I dont blame her. When I first picked her up from her surgery day she was so happy and I understand why now. She went trough hell. This place is 1. Rude 2 disrespectful 3. And just have bad customer survice to sum it all up. I was planing to come back here for her shots and for her dental cleaning ect... Anything she might need but now I dont ever think I want to bring her here again. Shes scared of this place and she hates it so much.

My "first baby" Kujo, a dachshund of 13 years was throwing up and progressively getting worse until he started squirting blood from his behind at 10:00PM on a Friday night. My plan was to see if Kujo would get better through the weekend and after I would take him to our regular Vet. Well, I could tell Kujo had become very miserable and I knew he was dying. I began to cry for the pain and misery my little guy was feeling, and the regret for not having gotten him in his regular vet during business hours. My husband googled South Seattle Vet. Hospital, I at least needed to put him out of his misery, and at this hour, I would have payed anything for that. The door was open and the outdoor light panels lit up the parking lot making the 24 hour hospital feel more inviting. It felt a little weird leaving Kujo at the Hospital overnight. I feared Kujo would dye w/out me being there. But the Dr. assured me they would make Kujo more comfortable so I agreed. To make a long story short, Kujo is now home healthy and happy catching up on some zs. Its a miracle that hes still alive. I thought for sure it was the end for my closest friend. The staff and the Dr.s are such great people and they work VERY hard. You can tell everyone there really does care, and they all look you strait in the eye and speak to you in compassion during a tough time. In fact, the DR. stayed up late that night and called me with the test results sometime after midnight just to wake up early the next morning to a busy day. It really is an Amazing place with Amazing people and recommend them for not only emergency care but as your regular Vet.

I have been taking my dog here for three and a half years. He got giardia and coccidia at 11 weeks old and was extremely ill. Then he got pancreatitis and some kind of fungal infection, which gave him months of chronic diarrhea. He developed food allergies and digestive problems. He gets ear infections because his ears are so hairy inside, which means he has to have them plucked and flushed under anesthesia. My dog also came down with panosteitis (Pano). I recently read an article about another dog in Seattle that got Pano and had to go to the Washington State University teaching hospital to get diagnosed. You dont have to go that far to find an experienced, knowledgeable vet--and you cant beat their prices. I have friends who have paid thousands of dollars for services at other vets, which SSVH performs for a fraction of the price. My dog has always received top-notch, and loving care from the doctors at South Seattle Veterinary Hospital, as well as excellent nutritional advice. In spite of all the treatment my dog has had here, he is still happy to see the doctors when we come in. That speaks volumes to me about how he has been treated when they take him back to the treatment rooms. And they always call a week or two after treatment to ask how my dog is doing. They are open 24 hours a day and have walk in service. They are often busy so there can be a wait, but its much better than trying to get an appointment somewhere when your pet is sick or injured. I highly recommend SSVH. They provide the best care for the most affordable price.

If I could give zero stars I would, every time Ive been here theyve given us two options, surgery or "something that takes two weeks and might not work out" every visit is well over $100. This most recent we came in because our dog was itching and chewing her paw so much it started bleeding, there was one little bump in between her toes and their advice was to cut it out and send it to get biopsied because they couldnt tell what it was. So we did... a d it was $600. They told us to come in two days later they told us they couldnt change her bandage and that we need to sedate her for $80.00 In order for them to change it. (No suggestion of us holder if her or putting s muzzle on even thought we know she would never actually attack anyone to change the bandage on her paw). When we said no they sent us home and said to go buy neosporin and put a sock on her paw. They could have at least sent us home with the materials to do it but no they didnt because we didnt pay $80 for them to change it . When we called back and asked about the whole thing they avoided all of it and kept with the idea she needed to be sedated.. I looked at the incision site and it was no where near where the bump was in her toes... Im very angry and disappointed that these people really dont care about the well being of an animal and will just jump at any opportunity to make more money. I have heard that they try and over charge for every patient, they take advantage of your love for your animal and I would DEFFINATELY NOT recommend this place
