Terrible experience. Do not bring your pet here if you love them. I brought my cat to Northeast Veterinary Hospital with issues back in February. They did not catch the fact that he had struvite crystals - they simply treated him for a UTI and neglected to inform me that it could be anything more serious or that I should watch for future issues. When he developed problems again in April, they delayed in seeing him and did not treat the situation like the emergency that it was. By the time I got him to the professionals at the emergency vet, he ended up needing extensive surgery, two blood transfusions and then went in to heart failure because of all of the associated stress. He is now on three daily heart medications and is lucky to be alive. He certainly would not be alive had I not had a way to come up with the $10,000 (and counting) that it took to save him. For someone renting in Seattle on a nonprofit salary, this was a huge burden. All of this could have been avoided with the proper care back in February. I now know that this issue is easily fixed with a special diet when addressed at the first sign. And to top it off, a full month after all of this happened, they still have not reached out to me to ask if my cat is alive. I regret trusting this vet. Please learn from my experience.

I used to bring my dogs into this hospital as far back as when Dr. Suddeth owned it. I recently brought 2 dogs since Dr. Reeves has owned it. Dr. Reeves is good but his receptionist named Karen I have encountered twice now and she is rude and non-professional and very bad. I asked Karen both times that the vet on call call me to discuss some questions - she did not give this message to the vet and the vet on call never called me -she discusses medical information on the phone as if she is a vet so she feels that the vet doesnt have to call you but she is only a receptionist with no medical training. One of the dogs I needed some answers to was very sick and eventually died. I have discussed the Karen problem with Dr. Reeves and he offers on apologies or any explanation. Beware of this person - she has been on the staff for awhile and you cant get beyond her other than making an appointment - she will not refer any messages to a vet

I took my dog to this clinic for the entire five years I had him. A few weeks after his annual exam this spring, we had to take him to the emergency clinic. It turned out he had advanced lymphoma, which somehow was completely missed. Then there was repeated frustration on my part as I tried to make his last few days as comfortable as possible. My requests for help and my questions were met with annoyance. Urgent phone calls were not returned for over 24 hours because they were "busy." My dog was euthanized in mid May at Acess on Lake City. I phoned NE clinic today to tell them my dog was dead and to let them know of my dissatisfaction. It turns out that they had already recieved a fax from Acess, but it hadnt occured to Dr. Price to send even a postcard with condolences. I will never take an animal to this clinic again -- when I needed them most, they were too busy to help.

Absolutely disgusted is all i can say. I have been a loyal customer at this hospital for 40 years and over the years have brought 7 of my animals to them. Recently my cat has been diagnosed with diabetes, thyroid issues and partial loss of kidney functions. They sent my cat home without proper care to keep it simple. After figuring out what to do and getting what i needed from them to take care of him i did have a massive bill, i tried to pay half and told them theyd have the rest on the first of the month and they refused to take it because theyd rather get after me for the entire bill in the long run. Theyve always made me feel as though its all for the money with no genuine concern or care for my animals or what i was going through. Please dont ever trust this place with your animals or theyre well being. You wont believe what ive been through with these people. IT IS JUST SICK.

The majority of the front office staff was friendly. The woman I initially booked my appt though was super nice and really helped me select the right vet for me. When I got to the vet, I weighed my own puppy which I thought was a little strange and the one receptionist was making kind of a big deal out of setting up my account (I was separating from an existing account). I had Tara as the tech and she was great! She was personable and funny and really good with my puppy. She asked a lot of great questions and spent a lot of time getting my puppy used to being at the vet and making it a positive experience for him. I had Dr. Christiansen as the vet. He was pretty funny and was so patient with my long list of questions. Dr. C was great with my puppy (whos a little ADD right now!). The price was right in-line with what I had expected to pay. Overall, a very good experience.

Dr. Ben Fisher is an outstanding veterinarian, and NE is my go-to veterinary clinic specifically for the extraordinary care he provides the multitude of cats I bring his way. Ive been taking ferals, strays, fosters as well as my own pet cats to him for about 7 years. He is always compassionate with the animals, spot on with his recommendations and treatments, and is willing to spend time going through best options (including lower cost options) for both the cat and the cats caregiver. I cant recommend Dr. Fisher highly enough. I too have had my fair share of questionable experiences at NE over the last 30 years. However, if youre looking for a knowledgeable, practical, easy to communicate with, compassionate and effective veterinarian, I highly recommend asking specifically for Dr. Fisher.

I would highly recommend Dr. Price, he is a great veterinarian who takes care of our dog, he has never suggested unnecessary services, has always been gentle to our dog, and even nicknamed our dog "kid". I would not, however, recommend Stephanie Edwards, she glanced over our questions when we saw her and promptly went on to suggest additional tests and procedures we could do on our dog. When our dog was diagnosed with terminal cancer (after consulting with both surgeons and oncologists), she used our dying dog as an opportunity to milk our family for money! I will definitely take my pets back to Dr. Price, but I would suggest avoiding the other veterinarians at this facility. Itll save you both money and emotional pain.

Took my buddy in because he was having some skin issues due to an allergic reaction. They were very good in their handling of my dog and explained the treatment options and future preventative care. I did not feel rushed, but still received prompt service since the moment my appointment began. And best of all I didnt receive hidden fees on my bill at the end of the visit, it was all very transparent. I also wanted to praise their assistance with follow ups to the initial appointment. I ended up needing two prescription adjustments and they accommodated both without charging for extra appointments for the visit. Thanks again! Its great to see my little guy feeling better.
