Outstanding vet with exceptionally high standard of care. Dr. Monahan is a nationally recognized feline specialist. Ive seen each of the vets who work there, and they are all caring and compassionate. Ive referred multiple people to Atlantic over the 7 years Ive been a customer, and each has been just as pleased. In addition to excellent care, Atlantics business policies are straightforward: they always give you a price range in advance, and work with customers to deliver the best care without breaking the bank. The thing that will most radically increase the price of a visit is tests. In my experience with Atlantic, theyll tell you which ones you really need to do, which are good to do, and which to do just to establish a baseline. On my last visit, there were $150 of recommended tests the vet said werent necessary, so we ended up not doing them. I appreciate that kind of integrity. The first time they see an animal they like to get all their own lab work, but if you cant or dont want to do that, they arent judgmental or condescending. Lets face it, high quality care isnt cheap. In my experience, Atlantics charges are in line with other high quality veterinarians in the Seattle area. Even if they were more expensive, though, Id still take my pets to Atlantic: the quality of care really is that high, and having a good vet who you trust is important.

Dr. Monahan has been taking fabulous care of my middle-aged, diabetic cat since the end of 2009. I switched from the Cat Clinic of Seattle when my cat was no longer able to tolerate the car rides up there. However, I am thrilled that we found such a competent vet right in our neighborhood. I am completely delighted with her level of attention and compassion, as well as her knowledge of diabetes (she has a diabetic cat herself). She literally saved my cats life, going to extraordinary measures to get him insulin when none was available, teaching me how to administer it, how to take his blood glucose, and where to find inexpensive supplies. Over several weeks and many phone calls, she patiently walked us through managing his care, and never charged me for her time outside of the exam room. Its clear that she cares deeply for her patients and is committed to helping them live as long and healthy a life as possible. I cant speak highly enough of her!

Ive been to several vets in the area and this is by far the best. They might be a bit more expensive than the Rainier Beach Vet, but trust me, you get what you pay for! When my cat started to have issues urinating, they diagnosed the problem and kept me informed while she stayed for observation. She ended up needing surgery to remove a urinary stone and the vets were very accommodating. I was so worried and they gave me tons of information and called me right after the surgery. The vet even gave me her cell phone number in case I had any questions or concerns. Both of my kitties now get all of their care here and I will never bring my cats to another vet! Atlantic Veterinary Hospital is perfect!

I highly recommend Atlantic Vetrinary Hospital. They have been extremely helpful ensuring the health of my kitten as she grows into a cat. Their wellness plans are amazing and I love that if I have any questions, I can just call the office and they will answer them as best they can. When they havent been able to give me an answer they feel satisfied with over the phone, they have always done some research and called me back in a timely manner. They really are a group of people who care deeply about animals and who are very knowledgeable in their fields. It is such a joy to know that my vet is working *with* me to ensure the health and happiness of an important member of my family.

My family has been bringing our cats here since we got our very first cat in the early 1980s. They took such wonderful care of our family cats that when my husband and I adopted two kittens, there was never any question where we would go for their medical needs. Everyone there is super nice and they all care about our babies. The cats love everyone there, too! As long as we live in the Seattle area, we will continue to come to Atlantic Veterinary Hospital for our cats medical care!

I guess its about 15 years I have been going there, and although I am retiring to the Philippines very shortly, I must leave a note to state my appreciation for this great facility. Top-notch competence, thoroughness and flexibility which I have very much appreciated. Highest praise, etc, etc....you get the idea. You cant go wrong with Dr. Batteiger...AND STAFF. Thanks to them all, I will miss them a lot. So will the Basset and Bagel.

Very friendly staff. Not the most competitive prices. Have had some inventory opportunities when refilling Rx causing billing issues and return trips. Friendly staff. Have had some opportunities with completing billing correctly but its always been ultimately resolved. I will continue using their services and facility as their intentions to care for my furry family members are their priority.

My 2 sweet babies have met and been treated by 3 veterinarians, and all visits have been met with loving kindness, concern and correct treatment. All of their staff is loving and kind hearted..the nurses are so knowledgeable, and both the vet and nurses touch the animals with kindness..i will never go anywhere else. I feel that my babies are in the best of hands no matter what happens.

They do a great job here. Alma, the office runner is incredible, and the doctors that have cared for Max (dog) and BIKO (cat) are always very gentle and give great care/advice. Dr Tricia Munro saved our BIKO. Thank you for all that you do. UPDATE (November 23, 2016) - The staff is very nice, and always make my wife and I (and our furry kids) feel welcome.

Atlantic Veterinary Hospital is very solid. Their staff is super kind and knowledgeable as they were able to help get one of my cats feeling better after a rough weekend. Their office rooms where you and your pets wait are fairly small and cramped with no toys or entertainment while you wait for the vet, but otherwise they are a very good vet.

I took my anxious mini schnoodle here due to excessive scratching. At first I worried because its hard for Emma to adapt to places she does not know too well, however they were very helpful, kind and handled her well. The staff is great! I finally found a great veterinary hospital for Emma.
