We have used Banfield as our vet for the last 14 years and two dogs. Up until recently, they have done an outstanding job. Our most recent visits have been different. A couple of weeks ago, our corgi broke a bone in his foot. He has several instances where he will limp and it gets better over a couple of days. This one did not show any improvement, so my wife called to get an appointment. She was told they did not have any openings, maybe try ACCESS over in Renton. What the heck? We pay for the Wellness Plan, but when we need to get our dog care, they cannot help us. A week after the emergency visit, we need to have the bandage on the splint changed. Banfield gave us an 8:30am appointment and said it should be only take about 15 minutes to re-bandage the splint. Our appointment was the earliest they could schedule. You would think they would be on time. NOPE. We did not even get into a room until 8:45am and did not leave until 9:30am. I was in a rush to get to work and did not inspect the re-wrap closely. I did when I came home from work. They had taped the bandage directly to his fur. This bandage looked worse after eight hours than the one from ACCESS looked after eight days. Our dog would not leave it alone. It was really bothering him. Also, the toes were not exposed, so there was no way to check and see if circulation was being cut off. We called to express our displeasure and were told the vet was not available. She would call us back. After waiting ten minutes or so, we called back and let them know we were on our way down. When we got there, we were told taping the splint directly to the fur was industry standard. While we were waiting for the splint to be redone, we spoke with the vet manager KYLE (?). He told us in no uncertain terms that if we did not like the care we were receiving, we could take our business elsewhere. No apologies. No "we will try and do better". Just "Take your business elsewhere!" Well, this second splint did not fare any better than the first. The next morning, our corgi took a step and the splint came right off. He was not trying to run, just a normal step and off it came. We had already made an appointment at ACCESS to get it re-done. Now we have a tough decision. Banfield has historically been a decent vet. They are open seven days a week. Hopefully, they have some changeover by the time we need care again.

The vet itself are really nice and havent had to many issues. The main thing I want to tell everyone is about their wellness plan. Whatever you do not sign up for this plan. As this is not an insurance and does not cover anything! If your going to pay a monthly amount then get insurance. My dog recently was euthanized because we found out he had cancer. When we found out he had cancer the banfield wellness plan did not help a bit because we had to go to another doctor for an ultrasound then another doctor for the surgery then another doctor for the chemo. After going thru this for 3 months we found out it was time for our baby to go to heaven. I called Banfield to see about getting my wellness plan cancelled since my dog has passed away. But they wouldnt let me because I use it a couple times in the beginning. They said I needed to pay until the year was up. I am mourning my dog who was my child and I am having to pay a bill each month until it is up. I could understand not letting someone just cancel or if you gave the pet up. But my pet died! whatever you do not do it. Sign up for insurance that all places take it!

Dont be surprised when they tell you that your next visit is covered by their health plan then come up with an $80 Bill for things that arent actually covered... We paid for a neuter with their plan, told that we would owe nothing next visit when he came in for his neuter, then told at check out that it would be $80, for expenses like anestia... Which we were told were covered. Update 2/2: We were told their rooms were full and they were down a doctor, the took our cat in back, when he came back five minutes later after two small shots, he was angry attacking us, and had extremely hair loss around the back of his head on his neck. This is the second time they have done this. I do not recommend them to anyone who cares about animal cruelty.

I have had nothing but good experiences with Banfields Southcenter location. We have been fortunate enough to find Dr. Davies, whose care and concern for animals and their owners is clear. I have not run into one person at this location who doesnt seem to love their job and the pets they care for. It might take a little too long to check out or be a little hectic at times, but my main concern is that my animals get good care ..and they do.

Dr. Foley is absolutely wonderful! I followed her from another clinic to Banfield and let me tell you that Banfield is so lucky to have her. I also love Banfield. :) I just signed up for their Wellness plan and it has already paid off. My dog had a skin tag on her chin which I was worried about. I took her in and it ended up being nothing but I didnt pay a dime.

They killed our cat. They gave her 5 shots at once and made her sickly. They failed to diagnose cancer when she was brought in for extensive bloodwork and diagnostic tests. She had to be put down a year and a half later when the cancer became inoperable.

We travel for work & our dog is on the road with us. Banfield has his records available all over the US. The staff are always caring & helpful.

Cancelled my apt two days in a row. The woman who informed me of the second cancellation was very rude and did not offer alternate time slots.

Eh, its good for what it is. A large veterinary chain so turnover of vets is high, staff is generally friendly

Absolute worst time scheduling. Appointment was rescheduled twice, I refused to reschedule a 3rd time.
