Truly compassionate, Empathetic and Respectful. We became familiar with Milner Veterinary Hospital under some pretty awful circumstances. Our sweet girl roo had gotten extremely ill out of no where last summer. We were moving back to Portland and had regrettably taken her to a vet in Silverton, who was absolutely clueless about what was going on with her.....he just took our money and kept prescribing pills that did nothing. When we got back to Portland I was told about one of the doctors at Milner and given her number, she went way ABOVE and BEYOND to help us...complete strangers! She got right to work on figuring out what was ailing our sweet girl and even requested to look over the blood work from the other vet. She did all that she could for Roo and kept us informed every step of the way. Sadly Snoopy was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia and died at home one morning...all within about a week and a half of first falling ill. It was and still is one of the hardest losses I have faced. The entire Milner staff from reception to techs and even other doctors who were not involved in Roos care were there for us. We live in Portland but make the drive (more often then we like, we have another ill companion animal at home). They are worth the drive and every penny spent. They offer compassionate care, peace of mind and they respect the individuality of your situation. They also have a fund set up called "The good Samaritan" fund that helps low income individuals get emergency care for their beloved companion animals! Donate if you can!!!!

We moved to Oregon City in 2001. We needed a veterinarian for our Royal Standard Poodle, Beau. We were told to try Milner Veterinary Hospital. So, we went and introduced ourselves to Steve and his staff. Well, it has been almost 15 years and we are still using Milners for our pets. Steve and his staff are very caring both to our dogs and to us. They were there for the good times and helped us through the more difficult times, when a pet no longer has a quality of life. We got another Royal Standard Poodle, Monty when we still had Beau. Monty was interesting, to say the least. A huge poodle who was afraid of his own shadow. Bi-polar, every type of allergy you could imagine. He was so tall, he would stand up by the sink and take things off the counter top. He ate over a pound of grapes, hospital! Ate a pepperoni pizza, hospital! Yadda, yadda, yadda! During this time, Steve and his staff worked with us to see if we could get Monty to be normal. They were so helpful, caring and concerned about t him. When Monty stopped eating, couldnt stand, couldnt function, we asked what to do. They told us that Monty had no quality of life left. The staff and I sat together and cried when they put him down. I told Steve that I was through with dogs. I am to old! Last month we went to Steve with Archie, another Royal Standard Poodle. The welcomed us and him with open arms. Milner Veterinary is the best for me and my dogs. I would also like to say that Doctors Steve, Angela and Alex are great and so is Carol.

My cat that was born on my lap the day my most loved one passed away 8 yrs ago was declawed when I was young in Prineville, OR by Ochoco vet clinic. They did a terrible job and her claws grew back caused her severe pain to walk. I took her back there and they did surgery again. 6 months later her claws still grew back. I felt she had been through enough. Later on I took her to Beavercreek vet and they told me she was in a lot of pain and should be put down if not treated. I already paid over 3,000 for this ERROR they referred me to Milner Vet. I was in tears worried its just gonna happen again DR ALEX was the best guy ever saved her life and me as my cat is ALL I have left in my life battling a uncurable illness and several things. He did x-rays and seen there were SEVERAL bone fragments scattered in her paws and had to open her pads to get them out. I never knew how serious it was. He took so much time with me and charged me pennies compared to what I paid for any other service. They called and checked up on her after surgery, all the staff was sweet and caring. Even had a intercom saying "chicken" (my cats name) has arrived! I cant express how GREAT this facility is and never will go anywhere else my family as well! Thank You ALEX & STAFF, Love Chicken & Allison

After going from vet to vet with a critically sick FELV cat and other vets saying they could not/would not help and it was over for my cat, DR. ADRIAN MILLER is utterly supportive and TRULY CARES. He is not afraid to try new avenues of approach and do all he can. He has gone out of his way doing extra research on my pets condition regarding cutting edge science and new drugs. I have HOPE while the other vets left me in complete tears. And I am not being charged any extra or asked to under go lots of tests like at other vet hospitals. At the very least while we try a new drug, I have EXTRA TIME with my cat, and know all is being done that can be done. Thank you Dr. AdrIan Miller for sticking your neck out trying ALL alternatives!! ADDENDUM: I did eventually have to put my pet to sleep as it was too late for alternative medicine and I didnt want my boy suffering on my behalf. Dr. Adrian Miller helped me to know the timing was right, he said all the right things, gave me great assurance and my cat actually died happy and immediate. The doctor had tears in his eyes and I knew this man really cares and I felt it was perfect timing and the perfect place and the perfect doctor, and I had total peace about it. I have many other pets and we found our vet.

OUTSTANDING! We were looking to make a switch from our old vet and Milner Vet Hospital came very highly recommended. They so did not disappoint. Wed been going back and forth with our old vet about a possible allergy our dog had. We did expensive food trials, expensive medications and shampoos but never had any answers or solutions. Nobody even called to check in with us when our food trial was over. We were just on our own to hound them about our dogs condition. After meeting with Dr. Steve and having him ask us a few questions, he had an answer for us. He explained, with a drawing no less, what was happing to our dogs skin. He then illustrated what the aggressive medication does to that allergy response then what his suggestion....a safer version does. He answered all the questions I was thinking of, before I even had a chance to ask him. He knows his stuff and explains it with such confidence. He was absolutely right too. Our dog found relief within a couple of days and with the safer alternative. Then they called within a few days of our appointment to follow up to see how our pooch was feeling. WHAT?! Its obvious how much they care about their patients and it shows in the care they give. Super impressed! You will be too!
