In my experience the dentist at Urban Smiles is inconsiderate and a poor communicator. I went in for a routine cleaning, mainly because of the office location, but also because its exceedingly easy to get an appointment here -- a fact that is no mystery after the service I received. While the customer service person, Jessica, and my dental hygienist were friendly and on-time, the dentist was by far the least professional I have ever seen. During my entire visit he never introduced himself, bothered to even say "hello," or make any effort to ask me a single question in an effort toward offering me better, more personal care or making the environment more friendly. The dentist is also a very poor communicator, who talked quickly, mumbled, and didnt bother to explain himself adequately. I happened to be pregnant during my visit, and instead of taking the time to responsibly explain a practice he recommended or ensure that I understood anything he told me he dismissively sped through a half-baked spiel. Im used to being treated like a human being when I visit a doctor or a dentist, and "because research" (research that isnt even specified or elaborated on in any detail) isnt a good enough explanation for why I should adopt a practice. Furthermore, the dentist made a lot of assumptions about me when he prescribed post-natal oral hygiene recommendations. If he had bothered to ask me questions rather than talk at me he would have known that his assumptions around my nursing practices and use of pacifiers are contrary to what he recommended. A better dentist would have taken more history and had a conversation with me rather than mansplaining. As I said, the fact that you can get an appointment here at the drop of a hat should be taken as a red flag of the quality of service, not an asset.

Highly recommended! The helpful and compassionate staff and the quality of care theyve provided at Urban Smiles has been exemplary at every visit. Last week, the consequences of a two year gap in dental insurance coverage followed by another year of putting off finding a dentist in my new plans network became painfully obvious. My, "if I ignore it, itll go away" strategy for dealing with an abscessed tooth had, not surprisingly, failed to achieve the results Id hoped for. So after a second sleepless night, I began searching for a emergency dentist at 7:00 a.m. on a Friday morning - a rather popular day and time, as it turns out, as apparently the majority of Seattles similarly self-deluded, dental-care procrastinators reached the same conclusion as I did. A Google search for Emergency Dentists, Seattle returned three providers in my area: one advertised 24-hour emergency on-call service; one who offered emergency appointments (9am-9pm, 7 days a week); and Urban Smiles, whos website indicated that "...most of our emergency patients receive treatment the same day they call us." As I was hoping to find a dentist for the long-term and not just for my emergency, I called Urban Smiles first, as they were both a Preferred Provider with my insurance plan and the closest to me. Their receptionist was wonderful; she explained that theyd already worked in two other emergency appointments before I called and that even though they were booked solid for the day, if I could come at 1:00pm (during what I can only assume must have been everyones lunchtime), that theyd fit me in. That same level of service has continued with each subsequent appointment and the quality of care Dr. Mironov and his staff have provided has been superb. Theyve got a long-term client and Ive got a great new dentist!

I am new to Seattle, just moved to Fremont on June 3rd. I had an emergency 4 days after I moved with a lower molar. Looks like my previous dentist in Argentina did something wrong and now I required an urgent root canal. I got a recommendation for Urban Smiles and decided to call them. They invited me to go right away and made a space for me. Not only the dentist is awesome, the secretary and his dental assistants are really wonderful. I was 100% nervous as usual when I go to a dentist, especially for a root canal. But the dentist was so patient with me and made me feel so comfy, I felt sure I was in good hands. He would stop whenever I raised my hand, would change spot whenever anything was a bit uncomfortable for me, and would take all the time in the world for me. I was relieved right away. You can also have someone accompany you if you feel too nervous (the doctor would call my boyfriend to come and see me while working on my tooth). I felt this place was comforting, that these people are all really humane and care about the patients and their feelings. The very first contact with the clinic is to fill in a form where there is a section for you to indicate from 1 to 10 how much fear you feel when visiting the dentist. They work with you based on that. Isnt that awesome? Also, you dont have to worry about taking prescriptions to the pharmacy. They will call the pharmacy near your house and make the arrangements over the phone. You just go and say your last name and they have everything ready for you. That said, I would love to recommend this amazing doctor and place in Seattle!

I am new to the Seattle area and was searching for a skilled and friendly dentist in the Eastlake area. I found exactly that and more at Urban Smiles! As soon as you walk in the door, you are greeted by Jessica at the front desk, who is super warm and welcoming. I have had a great dentists in the past, but I was extremely impressed with Dr. Mironovs extensive knowledge, which became very evident in how quickly he correctly evaluated the dental issues I had and the proper solutions to fix them. His attention to detail is amazing! I also really appreciated his ability to communicate the procedures and recommendations that he had for me. I feel he genuinely cared about my current and future oral health and he also gave me great tips about which floss works best. I had to go see him right away as I had a filling that had broken off in one of my back molars. I was so thankful that he was able to get me in so soon. I needed a pretty large filling, but the procedure was over before I knew it and completely pain-free. I often have a lot of anxiety about needles, but Dr. Mironov used a technique to administer the local anesthesia so that I didnt feel a thing. Ive never not minded visiting the dentists office so much before in my life! I am actually looking forward to going back and having a cleaning done there, as the hygienist seemed like a really lovely person as well. Im really glad that I checked out Urban Smiles... and I bet that you would be too.

Two years since my last review and I gotta tell you, they are the best!! Jessica is always so helpful as are all of the staff at Urban Smiles. Dr Mironov is an artist. He doesnt just get the job done he skillfully created a masterpiece for me. He had to create a bridge for me and it feels and looks so natural. This guy can pull a tooth without hurting you!! When he numbs you it is only the spot that he works on. You dont have the feeling that half of your face is puffy, frozen leaving you drooling all over. I found the best Dentist and he can be your dentist too!!! Check out Urban Smiles for quality and caring dentistry........
