My first experience with care one was great, I had a cleaning, x-rays and check up and got a care plan. I was told that I needed 3 fillings, a root canal, and my wisdom teeth pulled. When I went to my appointment to have all 4 wisdom teeth removed and 3 of the filling done all at once they had lost all of my paperwork and werent sure why I was there, after reminding them what I was there for they informed me that they could not remove my lower wisdom teeth because those 2 were still under the gums, and I would need to make another appointment to get the bottom ones taken by a different dentist at care one. Ok, fine...but why couldnt they have told me that the first time they were looking at my x-rays and scheduling me...? (Ok, not that big of an issue even though its over an hour drive there and back for me!) So they remove my two upper wisdoms and FORGET to do the fillings! So then the day before my appointment to get the bottom 2 removed I went to pick up my prescription that they were supposed to have called in and they forgot. I called them right away and reminded them to call it in, the next morning I called my pharmacy to make sure they had called it in as I was supposed to take it an hour before my appointment.....guess what, they forgot again. Finally they got it called in just in time for me to take it and rush there. When I arrived once again they were not sure of what they were supposed to be doing for this appointment. When they finally found my care plan the dentist said that he was going to pull my two wisdoms and 2 additional molars! I said NO, thats not necessary (I had already been told there was no need to pull any besides the wisdoms) then Dr. Do got an attitude with me and told me that it would not make sense to not pull the other teeth since he would be removing some already anyway!!.....are you kidding me...?.....just pull some extra teeth for the hell of it just because youre already pulling 2...?? Wow!! By this time I was feeling uncomfortable because of Dr. Do s attitude and pushiness to do work that was not needed at the time. So then when he finally decided to look at the X-rays, he says that he isnt going to pull any teeth because they are under the gums still!!! OH MY GOSH! This was the 3rd appointment I had had at care one, you would think between them examining my mouth 3 times, an x-ray, and another one of their dentists saying previously that he wasnt able to extract the bottom wisdoms because of this, that they would have had some clue as to the fact that the wisdoms needed to be cut out rather than just pulled!! I told them I was a little flustered that he couldnt of told me over the phone that he wasnt going to be able to remove them instead of me driving all the way there for that, and they admitted that he hadnt even bothered to look at my x-rays. I wont go back to care one due to their unprofessional staff who seem to lose important paperwork often, Dr. Dos extremely unfriendly manner, and the overall disorganized way they seem to run that place! I wouldnt recommend going to care one to anyone unless maybe its just for a simple cleaning!!

Dr. Kim and his assistant are amazing! They knew how nervous I was for my root canal and during the apt they made sure I was as comfortable as possible! Nicest dentist Ive been too! !!!UPDATE!!! While my 1st experience here with Dr. Kim was exceptional as far as bedside manner and being compassionate was amazing, unfortunately I was still in pain weeks after. I made an apt and had to see Dr. Do. He did an xray, and determined there was a crack in the post and that they needed to pull the tooth. I had paid almost $1,000 CASH for that root canal and post and asked to be reimbursed as that kind of money is not easy to come by for myself. Dr. Do seemed surprised and offended that I would ask such a thing. His response was, in a rude tone, "No, we cannot give you a refund. You will have to take this up with ..." I didnt catch who or what he said. I was given an antibiotic and told to come back in a month to check on it. I was still in lots of pain and unable to eat or even brush that tooth without discomfort. After going back and forth with them, I finally made an appointment to just have the tooth pulled. When I went in I was in obvious distress and extremely anxious. Dr. Do came in the room and said ONE word the whole time. He said "Hello", sat down and without any warning or talking me through what he was going to be doing during the procedure, he gave me 2 shots and without ANY communication and without waiting for the numbing to kick in (literally went from a shot, straight to picking up another instrument) and start yanking on my tooth. I put my hands up to show I could feel what he was doing and that it was hurting, my whole upper body was shaking uncontrollably! He did not care!!! He kept yanking, and didnt ask if I was ok or tell me that it was almost done. NOTHING. Not a single word. He then stood up and walked out of the room... again. The ONLY word he said the WHOLE time was Hello when he walked in. The nurse put gauze in my mouth and said it was done. Dr. Do is VERY unkind and rude. When youre in the medical field you are expected to help your patients feel at ease.. not worse! I even heard his staff talking about him when he wasnt around about how mad he gets and they were scared to ask him questions. I also heard the staff talking crap and calling one of their patients "crazy"! So unprofessional. If Dr. Kim was still at this office I would return. I will NEVER go back to Dr. Do. Especially for people that have ANY sort of fear of going to the dentist. Also, when I asked the front desk staff about my refund and how he said No, they seemed surprised and confused because they said its something he usually does. I will also be making sure they do not bill my insurance for pulling the tooth they messed up, as he oh so kindly said hed do it for free. I DO NOT recommend going here for anything more than a teeth cleaning. The hygienist and most the front desk and nursing staff are awesome. Dr. Do on the other hand will leave you feeling worse than when you came in. Whether it be physically or emotionally.

My journey with Careone Dental started in May of 2012, when I had two loose teeth removed. A partial denture was then made to replace the missing teeth. The partial did not fit properly, and as a result I was unable to eat solid food. The original dentist that I was seeing spent several months trying to adjust the partial, and grinding down enamel from my teeth in his attempt to get the partial to fit. This dentist left Careone, so I made an appointment with a different dentist. Her approach to getting it to fit was to use whatever force was necessary. When I complained that the level of force that she was using was extremely painful, she offered to numb my mouth with lidocaine. Needless to say, I never went back to see this doctor. The next doctor that I made an appointment with was Dr. Gourley. Dr. Gourley examined the situation and concluded that the partial was incorrectly made/designed and could not be adjusted to fit my teeth; she suggested that I discuss the situation with Dr. Do. When I talked to Dr. Do, He offered to make a new partial, or credit the amount towards a bridge. I opted for the bridge, and had Dr. Gourley do the work. I am happy that I went with Dr. Gourley. She is meticulous and very skilled; I highly recommend her. Unfortunately, the story does not end here. Before Dr. Gourley did any work, Careone gave me a written quote for the bridge work. I paid the bill in advance, before any work was done. After the work was completed, I asked Careone to provide me with some paperwork that I could send to my insurance company. They offered to submit the claim to the insurance company, and I accepted. Since I had already paid the bill in full, before the work had even started, I expected to have the full amount of the insurance reimbursement returned to me. This wasnt what happened. I tried to get an explanation, and a written accounting from careone, but was unsuccessful; so I decided to take careone to small claims court. In court Dr Do told the Judge that when I received the written quote, for the cost of the bridge work, it was based on the fact that they believed that I did not have any insurance, and that I had been given some paperwork that stated this. When I informed them that I had insurance, they then considered the original agreement to be null and void, and retroactively increased the bill, after it had been paid in full. This, despite the fact that the original agreement was on paper, and signed. I had never received any paperwork that even mentioned anything about insurance. And in fact, the price that I had been given was based on my purchase of the monthly Careone discount plan (which is no longer being offered in WA), and had nothing to do with any lack of third party insurance. The judge, however, believed and accepted Dr. Dos explanation and ruled in favor of Careone.
