Have been going to Dr.Robles for many years and consider him to be an excellent doctor --who listens--empathizes and treats. An experiences of late led me to do this review. Sometimes a practice just gets so big that it becomes difficult to maintain the communication(s) they need to. Such may be the case here. Two of my prescriptions needed refills. My pharmacy texted asking if they should contact the Dr. for me. I said yes please. This happened on Friday. The pharmacy got the back and said my prescriptions should be available by Tuesday of that following week. Tuesday I call pharmacy and am told they are still waiting for response from doctors office. They have called three (three!) times and not heard back. So I call the doctors office--explain and am told the pharmacy needs to call their office. My voice gets louder as I repeat --they HAVE called 3 times! So the receptionist asks what I need--I give her the names of the meds and ask her if they could kindly give me a call back when prescriptions have been called in --so I could pick them up. "We dont do that!" I am told. "Were quite busy here today! YOU can check back with us --in two to four hours..." She tells me--and incredulous-- I hang up. The implication here being that my time is NOT valuable but theirs is? Even after three days of pharmacy trying to reach them? No apology --nothing. Just an attitude that this is my problem and I should deal with it. I am very disappointed. Truly think there are some great doctors here --(Dr.Robles) --not all of them) but some --they need to stay in better communication with their patients and with what is happening at the front desk. I am still a patient here... plan to stay but am truly just watching to see what the future holds--will it improve or get worse? I understand "busy" is good. It means money is being made and people are being helped. But its those people (and their insurance) that are making the money for the practice--paying salaries --rent--overhead and even malpractice insurance...etc. Those patients deserve to be treated as if their time is valuable too and deserve to be spoken to with courtesy and a bit more understanding? Some prescriptions cant wait three days to be filled--even if mine could. Guess we will see.

This message is directed to Dr. Crafa. Sir, I called your office and was greeted by a receptionist who answered saying "Doctors Office" and thats it. (No warm welcome, no mention of company name)After verifying that I reached your office, I asked if you were currently accepting new patients, as I have a colleague in Bethpage seeking your assistance. The receptionist made it a point to correct my pronunciation of your name before cutting off my question to say "what insurance are we dealing with?" I gave her a response and she said "yeah, we take that." I was on the edge of asking for an appointment but if your staff is this rude on the phone, I could only imagine what it would be like in person. I feel its a reflection of those above their position and that bad attitudes trickle down from the top. I felt the feedback was worth typing out and getting to you. I dont know what will become of this message, but I surely hope it reaches the right people who can instill a little phone etiquette and customer service in those hired to maintain the flow of your practice.

Unlike the other reviewer I find the receptionist to be professional and friendly. But reviewing a receptionist when it is the medical care which is paramount seems off the mark to me.I have been seeing Dr. Robles for a few years and he has helped me with everything from colds to more complex. A typical visit to him involves a thorough pre-exam by an always caring PA and then the Dr. comes in to discuss your situation. Dr. Robles does something not every physician will do. He LISTENS to you. He is caring and knowledgeable and usually comes up with the proper diagnosis and course of treatment. Maybe his usually lovely receptionist had a bad day or maybe, as I cant help suspecting, the caller was far too sensitive. Anyway, dont pass up "Advanced Family Medicine" without giving them a chance to help you. I think they will.

Dr. Anisis is the best! This is the main reason I come here. The front desk staff needs some encouragement. It really hurts the terrain of the office when they dont day those who call with the resurrect they do when were in front of them.
