I wish I could give them less than 1 star. My step daughter and I were in a car accident. A village snow plow fish tailed and smashed into us. We were brought to Cortland hospital. We spent more time in the waiting room then in seeing the doctors. Once we did get in to see the doctor, we were both complaining of a headache, neck pain, back pain. I also had glass all over me, a cut on my elbow, and slight knee pain. The doctor came in felt my step daughters neck, felt my knee looked at my cut and said. You both have whiplash. I will clean the cut and glass off from you (since I had glass slivers all over my chest). He never took ex-rays or even looked at me and ended up discharging us before he cleaned the cut or glass. We were out of the office within 5 minutes. I didnt feel like waiting around to just be ignored more so I went home and cleaned it. I pulled out 3 pieces of glass from my cut. This was the absolute WORSE service I have ever had!!

Great nursing staff, but isnt that the way in most hospitals? Good thing they are on the way to financial ruin - maybe the acquiring hospital will have heard of something called GERMS, which leads to the need to STERILIZE instruments. Hey CRMC, are you listening? I know its probably a bit complex for your tiny little brains. But thanks for trying to kill my wife with infection after you rammed what was apparently a rusty pipe coated with sepsis down her throat. She can mostly breathe & it should only be a few days until she can eat again. Thanks for nothing you butchers.

Birthing at Cortland: 5 years ago there were plenty of nurses on duty and we were well cared for. In May 2016, this hospital was understaffed when I went into labor. All is well, my baby is fine, but if there had been a complication she would not be. The nurse who was in the room pulled a cord out of the wall calling for help to no avail. She caught our daughter (her first solo delivery) and about 5mins later other staff came in. While nothing went wrong, that is only luck. The staff has always been kind, but the administration is simply not scheduling enough people.

A Private User

The care was so bad that I left. After about an hour of answering questions by people who didnt care, I could take it no longer. I came in with badly lacerated fingers and got no care beyond being hooked up to a machine to take my pulse, blood pressure, and temp. The young woman who put me in an exam room and shut the door was much more interested in watching TV than this poor man trying to control the bleeding from his hand. Her rudeness made me decide that the stitches just werent worth it.

Every time I go here, its a bad experience. I think Ive had one positive experience here. The nurses are always disrespectful and there is no communication. This is just a job to them, most of the people here dont actually care. They dont show sympathy and just give attitude.

Went there at 3 am complaining about soar throat, abdominal pain, and headaches... They end up giving me laxative and moltrin and codine without testing me for anything. Turns out i have the flu according to another hospital that actually tested me. Worst ER

The nurses and techs were all so patient and considerate towards me, this last Saturday morning when I was pretty freaked out to even be in an emergency room. I cant thank them all enough for the care they provided, they were all amazing, thank you!!!

Very rude my sister was in excruciating pain in my car couldnt get out and walk so I went in and asked them to get a nurse with a wheel chair to help and they told me to "wait a nurse is in another room" very rude and NOT dependable!!

Sent me a bill for my 35 year old son. Tried to call the hospital for an obvious clerical error and was rerouted automatically to the 800 outsourced billing service that was a twenty minute wait.

The nurses were nice and the doctor went over everything but waited for a room in the hospital for over 7 hrs.....the hospital wasnt that busy. Oh but they had time for a mock emergency drill.
