My mom took our 2.5 month old puppy in for a minor rash and wanted to use the free first visit deal. The doctor proceeded to examine our puppy then gave distemper/parvo shot without asking or suggesting. (A side note, my mom showed him a petco document of our puppy getting the shots 10 days before.) Then they suggested to my mom to give her a shower every week with a chemical festered shampoo and that was it for the rash. My puppies fur has gotten rough and is falling out now. I call them to ask why all this was done and the person who picks up the phone didnt know anything apparently and quite rude. She claimed she didnt know of anything such as a puppy shampoo existing because she doesnt work at petco. I asked her why they gave my puppy a shot and she said the doctor probably suggested it and my mom probably said ok. PROBABLY. She wasnt suggested to do anything and she never said ok. I told the person there that my mother also doesnt really know about the vaccine schedules so she didnt fight back. Her response was that I should have come along since I know. Really? Just cause she didnt know theyre going to just do whatever they want? Absolutely ridiculous

I honestly dont understand how this place got so many 4 stars.... So I went there at the end of August 2017 with my 7 week old pitbull puppy. She was examined and had a type of skin rash. The Dr did a skin scrape and gave us some cream (did not work and used it for 3 weeks instead of 2) she also has parasites and was given oral medication. Soon after she received her first set of vaccines and dewormer. The dewormer didnt work so they gave her another dose a week later. Again nothing. Also the vet told me she needs her booster aka other set every two weeks. I went to another vet who was much more thorough and told me she needs boosters once a month. Gave me a different medicine for her worms and medication for vaginitis as well as a natural supplement. Also when I called and asked for a detailed copy of her medical records they said sure no problem. A few minutes later I get a written email about 10 words long saying good health, vaccinated, dewormer etc. Are you kidding ? No dates ? No details ? This vet here ...yes its cheaper than most places. But its a classic case of "you get what you pay for"

The Doctor and her assistant were very rough with my cat during his exam. She was grabbing at him and holding him very forcefully- she was not gentle at all! Her assistant was also extremely rude as I was checking out and paying. I wanted to pay using my credit card, which a posted notice said was an accepted method of payment, but the assistant said I could only use it if the charge was over $150. In a bossy tone, she told me, "Its right there on the sign." When I corrected her that the sign stated, "Visa, MasterCard, and cash all accepted. Credit card is preferred for charges over $150." I told her that no where on the sign did it state that payments under $150 had to be made in cash. She was extremely snippy in her response. And, best of all, during our transaction, she was on the phone with a travel agent trying to book a vacation to Italy. Completely unprofessional. If the office wasnt so close to my home, I would not have gone here. I do not recommend this office to anyone that wants professionalism and gentle treatment of their pets.

Dr Jeremy Cohen took wonderful care of our dog this week: Our healthy dog of 16 years had a sudden collapse and was barely responsive to us.We panicked and immediately sought the help of Dr Jeremy Cohen whom we knew only by reputation. In a calm, rational manner he asked us the appropriate questions, then performed a detailed examination, gave us the right diagnosis and recommended an immediate evaluation in the Manhattan Animal Medical Center for a possible immediate life saving surgery. He was was right on all counts, The dog had his life saving surgery and is doing fine. Despite the dogs transfer to another veterinary facility ( it was late evening) Dr. Cohen followed up with phone calls and continued to advice us on the appropriate care, he clearly cared much that our dog gets the best treatment As an Emergency Physician for more than 30 years I am quite aware of the value of quick evaluation and CARE and the importance of CARING. Dr Cohen certainly exhibits all those values!

This is a fantastic Animal Clinic. We bring our 2 cats and dog here for their annuals and other urgent or medical needs. The staff is welcoming and the service is prompt. Being able to walk-in and see the doctor when something unexpected happens and have a minimal wait is a plus. Dr. Cohen is very thorough and listens to the owners concerns. He explains any issues that might be a cause for concern and is good with follow-up for any tests that are performed. Prices are very reasonable for all types of services. The facility is clean and well kept. If youre looking for a vet in Queens, this is the place to go.

Ive been here a couple of times and have never had a more caring vet experience. The people who work here GENUINELY care about you and your pet. They were priced well, took me both times on SUPER short notice and even clipped my pups nails for free. Martha especially is an absolute doll and went above and beyond to help me out when I was stressed about my dog and working in a visit before work. I will be a very long time customer because of how wonderfully they treated my dog and me as well!

Dr. Jeremy Cohen is the new Doctor at the Fresh Meadows Animal Clinic. I have known Dr. Cohen for over 30 years. When I have brought my cat to him, I have always been given excellent service, personalized care and very affordable prices. His new great, convenient location in Queens is wonderful for the community there. As a very knowledgable veterinarian with over 10 years of experience, theres no doubt he will soon become known as the best vet in Queens!

Dr Bruna Dinetz is owner of Fresh Meadows Animal Clinic she has been taking care of my dog a maltest Zoey for 2 years now. She is a sweet lady and hard worker. My dog got very sick one day from eating chocolate and she came to my house at 7:00 PM just to help. I am so grateful and will always recommend her. She is the best veterinarian in Queens and I will go as far to say in all of New York. I can not recommend Dr. Bruna Dinetz enough...

My cats leg is broken, and she is in extreme distress mood. Will attack any one near her. my sister google this animal clinic for me near my home. and I am lucky to find this clinic, I never have good experience with Vet office, and i feel comfortable here. Dr Cohen is a great vet, he took my cat in even thought she is dangerous to other. also all of his staffs are well trained with well manner. BO & Bebe

best veterinary clinic ever! Everyone there was caring and very helpful. I have been to many clinics but all they did was sell me meds and did treatment which I wasnt aware off. I used to be in shock when they tell me the total amount every time I went. But this clinic tells you every details of what they are going to do and why it is needed. They are so kind, warmhearted people and I totally can trust them!
