Lake Placid Animal Hospital was our salvation! My children, puppy, and I came to Lake Placid to vacation for a few days. We didnt want to leave Gracie(1.5yr) to be boarded back n CT as shes never been boarded. The first night we went to High Peaks Animal Hospital, which made me very suspicious because they wouldnt show me where Gracie would be staying. Miraculously, a staff member at the hotel suggested LPAH. I cannot tell you how happy I was after meeting the staff as well as Dr. Flanigan. They gave me a tour, let me choose which part of the building Gracie would sleep, and didnt require a physical by their doctor the way the other place did. Btw, I had all my documents from Gracies annual from a month earlier. I left Gracie, went back to the hotel and told my kids that Gracie was in the best of hands by people who obviously loved their job. We picked her up around noon the next day. Gracie was running the show! She was hanging out in the office with the staff and was treated like a princess, greeting other puppies and children. They gave me a report just like the one a babysitter would give me! It was so apparent that she was treated well and was happy. Even as we were leaving she was running over to one of the staff to "kiss" her. Thank you Lake Placid Animal Hospital for making our last night in the village worry-free. This is the only place that Gracie will stay when we come back, which we plan to do this winter. Oh and the fee was very nominal! :)

This place is a disaster! I had two dogs go here. One obtained kennel cough after a 4 day stay!! (not to mention I had to pay hundreds in shots for them to stay) my other dog was supposedly checked out and ran up a $400 bill for Flanagan to tell me dog is fine, I take the same dog to a vet in NJ, and find out he has a serious health issue!!! what a failure of a vet. not to mention the sick dogs and healthy dogs all share the same run and go to the bathroom in the same area! How does that not spread disease?????? Spare your pet and DONT GO HERE!!!!

I cannot say enough good things about Lake Placid Animal Hospital. Dr. Flanigan was amazing when we had to put our beloved dog down as she came to our house and made it as comfortable as possible. She is compassionate and caring. We have now seen Dr. Welsh three times with our new puppy and she has been beyond amazing. She is friendly and courteous and does a great job with determining and diagnosing issues. We are thankful to have such a great vet close to home that doesnt charge and arm and a leg for their services.

Dr. Flannigan and her staff are absolutely amazing. They take fabulous care of my two boys (one American Eskimo mix and a Pomeranian). I think their prices are fair, and I always feel like their recommendations are honest and in the best interest of my dogs - not trying to "upsell" and make more money. I take them there for both medical needs and grooming. Can not say enough good things about them. Highly recommended!

This is the best vet I have ever been too! So cozy inside and all about the pups! :-) We have a maltese and german shepard mix and she takes care of them like they are her own. We come from VERY far away to this vet and they are very accomodating as to our schedule and dogs needs. Wont be going anywhere else! :-)

I love this place. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. My Hugo was very sick and Allison corrected his problems. Also I cant say enough about these girls. Gracie is awesome as well. The entire staff is great and they are so accomadating Would recommend to all.

Dr. Flannigan and her staff are great. I was up in Lake Placid for a week and my pup got hurt while hiking. They were able to get him in quickly and took great care of him. Prices are also very reasonable.

I used to work @ high peaks and the difference is incredible..the prices r much cheaper and the service is is much better...everyone leaves with a smile including the animals!!
