I had my first appointment at this office scheduled for 9:00am (first appt of the day). I was the 2nd person to walk into the office. 30 minutes later I was told by a receptionist that the dentist (Dr.Cho) had not arrived yet for the day (unprofessional!!- clue #1). I watched the door carefully and no dentist walked in that was male so I was surprised when I met Dr. Cho 45 minutes later and it was a HE. I guess the receptionist was lying!? In any case, Dr. Cho has 0 bedside manner. He was RUDE, ABRUPT and worst of all, not concerned or tuned in to my teeth. He didnt pay attention to the fact that I had told multiple people I was pregnant and asked about why I didnt have xrays. He then did the quickest and most painful cleaning I have ever had in my life. He jabbed me over and over and told me to open wider and said something about the instrument he was cleaning my teeth with was "sharp" (duh, its sharp - thats why you dont jab people the way he did). He kept moving my head in the direction he wanted to go in a very "pushy" way. Did he like that it was sharp and hurting me? I think so. He kept rambling off "one word sentences," that I couldnt understand until he was done with my very quick cleaning (whole visit with him was less than 10 minutes - cleaning and all) And why doesnt a tech do the cleaning? Thats aside from the point. He told me had no cavities despite the fact that I complained of issues on one side and I was sent home. Avoid Dr. Cho. I am not sure if this guy hates his job or is a total jerk or both, but I will never go here again. And neither will my husband or anyone else in my family. RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

Overall positive thanks to Dr. Cho. The office seemed a little rushed on Saturday, but I cant say if this is the case always. It might be tough to get to the appointment on time. Ultimately I had a good experience, because I went in originally to get a cavity filled (another dentist recommended, but didnt have weekend hours. Unfortunately Ive heard that weekend hours might be ending here too soon, though). The other dentist had inspired a lot of paranoia, saying that I had a cavity between my teeth and also weakness on some other teeth, so I wanted another opinion (Ive been told by dental school friends that dentists sometimes identify minor things to charge more; scary, right??). Dr. Chos examination was pretty thorough, he even took an extra x-ray when it turned out that the other office didnt send over all of my x-rays. His conclusion was actually that I didnt even have a cavity, and he explained that some dentists nitpick or suggest more "preventative" treatments than is necessary or practical. He did point out a few things that could become problematic in the future. So perhaps I just derived great pleasure from not having a cavity, but I thought Dr. Cho was excellent in answering all of my questions patiently and thoroughly. Id go back to see him, even if its a slightly longer wait. The hygienists were also kind, the one who took my x-ray was very sensitive about my terrible gag reflex, which not all hygienists deal with nicely.

I agree with the reviewer who said "assembly line" care. Lackluster staff. Rack em and stack em treatment of patients. Admin staff doesnt know how to speak discreetly about your medical information or status of your medical plan. My plan had terminated under one number and reestablished under another. When my insuranced was checked and declined the admin said really loudly "youve been terminated from your plan." I must say in her defense she was quite adept at finding out that I had been given another number which I have to give kudos for. But all in all, the doctors dont communicate with you about a plan of care. When I asked about implant pricing I was told we dont give out prices until you have an evaluation. All I wanted was a ball park. Nothing specific. The other issue was I went in for an emergency treatment. I had two teeth bothering me. I was told to pick the one I wanted treatment on because they would only take care of one. They wouldnt give me another emergency appopintment to deal with the other tooth. I was told I had to wait 4 weeks until my regularly scheduled appointment in order to get seen. When I asked for my appointment to be moved to a sooner time. I was told there wasnt any available slot.... So I changed dentists.

I went to this dentist for four years. I have no idea why I stayed so long other than convenience of location and only going twice a year. In that time, I had never waited less than thirty minutes to see an hygienist, even when I have the first appointment of the day. Once I showed up fro a 9am appointment and was not seen until 1030. I watched as the staff changed my appointment time from 9am (when I arrived) to 930 to make it look like I hadnt been waiting that long. The reception staff were extremely rude, getting snippy at simple questions like how long will the wait be. The waiting room is usually full and feels dirty. I will never go back. Also at one point they were actively campaigning patients to write good reviews on Yelp! because so many negative reviews had been posted. I tried to post on Yelp! about them today and saw they were not even listed.

I have been going to Westside dental for the past 10 years and Dr. Pedro Vincenty will be my dentist forever. I have recommended him to many people and i have never heard a complaint. I never write reviews, but I saw this bad review and I pointed it out to Dr Vincenty and his partner Dr Joel Bryk on my last visit there. They told me that including the hygienist they see about 30 patients/day 6 days/week. which is close to 10000 patients/year. They told me that it is impossible to keep everyone happy all the time, but that they must be doing something right since they have a very successful office for almost 25 years with hundreds of families that have been patients there forever. They said over 95% of their patients are referred by other patients, so i hope i set the record straight for them.

Horrible experience! "The Boss" the "doctor" who took care of me as he himself kept repeatingly named himself (Bald white guy) when asking questions wont listen to my answers making wrong assumptions about my health. Its a shame cause the staff and specifically an Asian doctor who work there are really good people but the BOSS def. is NOT a good addition to this office. My best advice If this "Boss-gentleman" wants to take care of you: RUUUUNNNN like I did!!!!!!

Was there only once thus far and will definitely be going back. They try to help you as much as they can within their boundaries. Yes, the staff is comfortable with each other and you if your not rushing them. Business is quite busy so you would expect some wait time in a dental office. Some procedures take longer than others. Ive waited far longer in other dental offices than 30 minutes to be seen.
