Dont bother going in without an appointment... I waited for over an hour because I did a walk-in. The wait isnt what bothered me though... its the fact that they told me Id be next regardless of who walked in because I had been waiting for so long without complaining.... Surely enough, they let not 1, not 2, but 4 other people go ahead of me after telling me this. Even still, I give it 3 stars because I got my (first pair of) glasses for free, including the eye exam. And once it was finally my turn, they were very courteous to me, and apologized for making me wait. Dont listen to the rest of the other bougey UES reviews this place has. The people are nice to you if you are nice to them, and if you dont act like a total snob.

If you go to these people for progressives be sure you research the differences between low and high end quality progressives and that you are not paying above the amount for the quality you are choosing. These people are not about to explain what you are getting for the price you are paying. Make sure they give you get the Varilux Certificate of Authenticity when ordering that brand. These people are charming and smooth talking while selling you the Brooklyn Bridge but beware when you confront them. Recommendation: Run away as fast as you can. Would definitely not want to be part of this "family".

When I go to this Eye Glass store I feel like I am part of the family. very friendly/knowledgeable doctor, very friendly staff and the "OLD angry guy" people are referring to in the reviews, is an Israeli history book walking on two legs. He has been through all the wars that Israel had and is just like the commercial that says "the most interesting man in the world". anyway back to the quality of service, I am a customer for more than 5 years now and every person I referred to this location has thanked me 10 times over. I would recommend this place if you want quality eye care.

Ive been going to Eye to Eye for years. theyve accepted all my insurances. They are all very nice people. The older gentleman that works there may seem a little unfriendly but I just blame it on old age, as hes very elderly. The doctor is pretty friendly and knowledgeable. The woman that handles the contacts is very nice and always helpful. I can call her anytime to reorder. So I recommend this place. I will admit, at times it may get a little crowded depending on teh time of the day but its not like that on all my visits; just sporadically.

I have been wearing glasses since I was 13 and contacts since I was 18. While my usual optometrist place was pretty good, I never experienced such a wonderful experience than at Eye to Eye Vision Centers at East 86th Street. The doctor explained everything to me in laymans terms so I understood not only the exams but how to implement preventive measures in the future. The staff was awesome! Caring, smart and funny. I felt right at home. I switched places because I switched insurance and I am so happy I did.

I had a great experience there, until I had a problem with one contact. When I called about having several right lenses rip on me I was met with denial and hostility with no offer of solution. The woman who answered the phone just said thats not our fault we dont make them call the company and then hung up on me. Ive still not gotten a resolution even though the company rep was quite helpful and contacted eye to eye for me. My first experience was great but since then its been straight down hill.

This was the worst experience!! I called and asked ahead of time if they took medical walk ins.. I was told yes so I got out of bed to go. I was feeling really sick but the medical appointments took no priority over any of the regular eye exams.. not to mention the woman making the list had allowed two other people in front of me on the list. After an hour of waiting finally was so sick I couldnt even be there any longer and had to walk out. Absolutely DISGUSTING

I hate going here !!!!! The people at the front desk dont even speak. This is my second time here trying to purchase glasses . I walk to the front the two women just looked at me. Finally the lady asks do I need help . She asks my insurance I tell her and the older short lady not even the one I was talking says "oh no we dont take that" . Okay I still want to purchase glasses I end up walking out worse place ever !!! Dont waste your time !

I went shopping for my first pair of glasses and I expected some personalized help where you sit and the salesperson would make you try different styles of eyewear (which is the service Ive received to the other two places I went). When I told her that I was only shopping and I wouldnt buy today, she simply said: "well, shop around!" in a quite arrogant way. Ive packed up my stuff and left.

Its chaos, there were 10 people going in and out. I waited 40 mins and noone told me they were running behind. I said maybe i should reschedule, they said I was next. 15 mins later I waited and told them that im canceling because they were taking too long. The lady didnt even look me in the eye and didnt have the courtesy to apologize. Doesnt even deserve a star. WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER!

I walked in looking for a particular style and size of frame. They had a good selection that fit my parameters. The staff was helpful and friendly. Even though I didnt have an appointment there was very little wait to see the doctor who was thorough and professional.

Love this place. Dr. Dan is fantastic and his scripts are perfect the first time, The lens have always been accurate to the script as well. The staff is helpful and efficient and glasses have been delivered quickly. What more could you want.

I Can See Again!! Real, Nice & Simple place. No fancy sales gimmick. Ive been wearing glasses for 12yrs. Optician gave me first exam that allowed for an excellent prescription. Unlike other centers Ive been to.

Showed up at 6:45 with 7pm closing time to a closed sign. Door was open so i opened it a bit to hear that they are closed. went across the street to kalmus who fixed my glasses for free.

Negative attitude of the owner and workers as well. You dont need to experience it as I did in 2 visits. Just watch the owners nervous and negative behaviour, I gareentee it.
