I went here because of all of the great reviews and I was hoping to have a wonderful experience. Unfortunately it was the opposite. Yes they were very prompt and on time, but the service was rushed and poor. The nurse greeted me went through a list of questions on her laptop didnt look at me once. Once the dermatologist came in (with another woman who didnt even introduce herself she just stood in the corner and documented everything) it was all very rushed. It was my first and last appointment. She came in told me what face cream I would I would be using for my acne then rushed me out. Didnt ask about my skin type or do any type of assessment on me. When I did ask questions she was short and you could tell she was eager to get out the door.

I went there for therapy to eliminate spider veins on my legs. I was not prepared for how painful each injection was (they inject a salt solution in feeder vein). One of the injection sights wouldnt heal so I went back and the doctor told me to simply put aquaphor and a band aid on it. Four weeks later....here I am with an infection in it and on antibiotics. My legs are maybe 30% improved. I am told it could take another couple of treatments....I dont think so.

They were the easiest medical office Ive ever dealt with. They got me in within minutes of checking in and the entire appointment including the time with Dr. McMeekin was no more than 30-40 minutes. I left with an accurate diagnosis and a prescription called in and waiting for me after work. I would highly recommend Genesee Valley Dermatology to anyone, stop putting it off and make the appointment, youll be pleasantly surprised!

This is the third dermatologist I have tried in the Rochester area and I am very happy with Dr. McMeekin. Although my appointment was brief, he was very thorough and explained to me exactly what was going on with my skin and proper treatment. I felt very confident leaving and look forward to my next appointment. I even spoke to the esthetician after about my different options and she was very friendly and knowledgeable as well.

I would highly recommend Genesse Valley Dermatology & Laser Center. I have been a patient now for little over two years. The reason why I recommend it is because of Dr. Duffy. She is so knowledgeable and really takes care of all of her patients. My skin has dramatically improved since seeing her and I am forever grateful to the care she has provided.

The PA who treated me seemed annoyed with helping my skin issue, and the fact that her initial diagnosis was incorrect. Her bedside manner made me feel inferior and just plain stupid. I got the impression that things would be different if I was there for laser procedures or Botox...I would not recommend this practice for "real" dermatological issues.

Depends on who you deal with in the office. Some are rude, some are nice. It is expensive, and on one visit I requested a specific spot be treated and the doc missed it by 1/2 inch, but of course still charged me. The laser treatments are $$ and very quick - you pay by the second.

Dr.Duffy was recommended to me by 2 of my respected friends. I was told that I would love her and Indeed I did. She is so friendly and easy to talk with making the whole experience of someone examining your near naked body very easy and thorough. The whole office staff is great!

Based on Google reviews I decided to give Dr. McMeekin a try, and I have not been disappointed. Very little wait time to get into an exam room or to see the doctor -- weve been in and out in 15-20 minutes. The staff is all friendly and professional.
