Midtown Vet is by FAR the best animal hospital I, or anyone I know, have ever been to! Dr. Zimber and his staff are kind, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. They will only do what is necessary and useful to diagnose and treat your animal...they have no interest in up selling food/ treats/ meds just to meet some bottom line. In fact, they have VERY affordable prices and dont sacrifice good service to do so. Dr. Zimber will tell it like it is, but does so from his heart...he and his staff will do anything in their power to mend an animal. As long as the end result doesnt lessen that animals quality of life...which was of great comfort to me when one of mine got quite sick. I was heartbroken and thinking selfishly bc I knew Id miss her, whereas Dr. Zimber had his patient first and foremost! I wont take my animals to any other vet as long as Midtown Vet us around!!

Got to our appointment 5 minutes early, was told there would be a 20 minute wait. Ended up waiting 75 minutes in a dirty waiting room before we were taken to an exam room. The place was FILTHY. Dog hair and crud all over the exam table because it hadnt been wiped down, used syringes on the table, syringe caps on the floor... Gross. The vet asked me questions then talked over my responses. He seemed very down-to-earth, his advice was pretty solid, he was good with the dog, and the prices were decent, but the INSANE wait time and the completely disgusting state of the office was enough of a turn-off to keep us from coming back. I wouldnt be surprised if a dog ended up eating some kind of medical waste off the floor there someday.

We have taken our pets to Dr Zimber for over 30 years. He does everything he can to keep costs down, but he provides top shelf care. The one time I tried a different vet in Fairport, They charged me over $90 for an initial visit with a Lollypop Farm cat. We had a voucher, but they found a way to jack up the price. Dr. Zimber has NEVER done that. He truly cares about the animals and understands that you shouldnt have to be rich to be able to care for them properly. I am sure that there are many people who wouldnt have an animal if Dr Zimber wasnt working so hard to keep it affordable. If you dont like the bare bones office, feel free to patronize the fancy places. You will pay for it, and the care wont be better.

Dr. Zimber is the best vet! Since 2006, we have been bringing them to Dr. Z. He is so gentle and takes as much time as you need to feel like all your questions have been answered. When our little cat needed emergency surgery, he took amazing care of her and even helped us out with the costs because we were young and didnt have a lot of extra money. We are currently moving out of state and our family will miss him and the team at Midtown Veterinary Hospital. We will never find another vet like Dr. Zimber. I give him the highest recommendation possible.

This is a fantastic place to take your animals. The staff is super friendly and helpful. More than once I have misplaced my Rabies certificate and they are always more than willing to send me another copy. Dr. Zimber is always friendly, knowledgeable and takes the time to really talk to you about the different issues that you might be having with your animal. I am so glad this place was recommended to me and that he was taking new patients. I would be lost if I had to go someplace else. Thanks for all that you do! :)

They say you never truly appreciate things until theyre gone and since weve now moved out of the area, we definitely feel this way about Dr. Zimber! We always knew he was a great vet (very attentive, kind, knowledgeable), but never realized how great until we have now tried 4 different vets in our new town and none compare to him! Not only are his prices great, but the hours, level of service and caring will beat any other vet you will ever see! Visit Dr. Zimber -- you will be glad you did. We sure wish we could come back!

I have worked for several vets and gone to quite a few different ones because of moving. I know what is important about a vet and when Im overpaying. His prices cant be beat but he is also very knowledgeable and helpful. He doesnt try to get you to buy services you dont need and certainly not medications like most vets will. I went to him right before they stopped taking new clients, so good luck. Unfortunately there can be a bit of a wait in the evening so be prepared.

Dr Zimber and his staff are wonderful! Dr. Zimber is listens and is attentive to your pets needs. I had to make the difficult decision to put down my cat (19 years old) in January and he explained all the options and was very caring and compassionate, helping me to make the best decision for her. I will be forever grateful. I highly recommend Midtown Vet to all. Also, the prices are very reasonable.

My parents used to take our dog there when I was young... Well I have gone back after all these years and Dr Zimber is great. The other vet we were patients of for 10 years seemed so overpriced and impersonal. Dr Zimber explains everything and is very compassionate. We have 4 dogs and this place is wonderful!!!! Highly recommended!!

Affordable vet with wonderful service. The staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. My co-worker goes to another vet nearby and pays 2 to 3 times what I do for the exact same services. My yellow lab adores Dr. Zimber and I would recommend Midtown Veterinary to anyone.

Dr Zimer is the most feel headed compassionate vet around. He is always willing to talk in person or on the phone to give you advice. If one of his long time staff members was better I would have given this practice a 5 star rating. But he is definitely 5-star!
