Ive been going to Dr. Bleecher for Approximately 15 years. Once the practice changed to Medical Associates, the quality of service has tremendously diminished. When you schedule an appointment with them, it would take a small miracle for them to see you at your scheduled time slot. They have absolutely no regard for your time. My wife was a patient and approximately a year and a half ago she couldnt take it anymore and went to another doctor. She said that I should do the same, but I told her that I would stick with Dr. Bleecher. The lack of professionalism in that practice is mind-boggling. My wife set an appointment for me specifically asking to see Dr. Bleecher. When I arrived for my appointment I was pleasantly surprised they called me on or about my scheduled appointment time. However, once they got me inside they told me that I would not be seeing Dr. Bleecher. My wife specifically scheduled the appointment with Dr. Bleecher. Some woman whose name I did not get who says she was the office manager told me that the young lady who scheduled the appointment is very good and she would not have made a mistake like that. She told me that my wife may have misunderstood. I explained to her that when my wife made the appointment she specifically stated it could ONLY be with Dr. Bleecher, and if he was not available she would not have made the appointment. Apparently customer service is not a priority at Medical Associates of Selden. The proper action to take at that moment wouldve been to apologize for the confusion and correct it. All this woman wanted to do was to place the blame on my wife. Unfortunately, this is not the first time that Medical Associates has dropped the ball. This is just the straw that broke the camels back. One time while I was being taken care of by one of the other doctors in the practice, I was returning for a follow-up visit and that doctor asked me why I was taking a certain medication. I told her that she in fact prescribed that medication for me. After fumbling through my record for about five minutes she could not see an entry where she had prescribed that medication to me. She did however confirm that the prescription was authorized by her later in the computer system. Apparently, she failed to properly document my record. This is a medical professional that I entrust my well-being with. Before leaving I asked a general question about how I could go about transferring my medical records to another Doctors office. I was told that I had to wait for a woman who was on the phone, working on the computer because she was the only one that knew how to do that. After waiting a few minutes with no one responding, I told this woman that I was pretty sure that it was a form that had to be signed to transfer the records. I know this because this is the process that my wife went through when she transferred her records. When I said that, the young lady who failed to properly schedule the appointment told me that if I wanted to transfer records I would have to pay $.75 for each page. Apparently she told me this because she was not too happy that I shed light on her incompetence. I explained to her that when my wifes records were transferred there was no charge. She then said we COULD charge up to $.75 per page. At that point I was so disgusted with my treatment and the lack of professionalism in that practice that I just took the form and left.

Small office, small waiting room, not enough seating for the amount of overbooking they do. Staff is not friendly or helpful. If you ask you a question they act annoyed. Quality of care is poor. I took my daughter there for a follow up because her previous blood work and follow up indicated her A1C is high and she is considered pre-diabetic. I took my daughter to a nutrisionist and made some changes to her diet, had another blood test taken as per the doctors request and came back for the follow-up concerning her A1C numbers. The doctor went over blood work for cholesterol, thyroid...never mentioning comparision of my daughters previous A1C to the present A1C which is why my daughter had two blood tests within a month of eachother. The doctor treated her visit as a regular follow up not specific to her A1C which is why she had the second blood test within a months time. We were rushed in and out in 5 minutes after waiting an hour in the waiting room, standing room only! After we left my daughter said she didnt think the doctor understood what the follow up was for because you (meaning me) had to ask about her A1C number. My daughter also expressed that she felt anxiety in the waiting room because it was so crowded and several patients expressed they are angry due to their long wait. I have since had my daughters records transfered to another physician. We will not be put to this inconvenenice and poor treatment in the future. My daughter needs a primary care doctor that she can trust and understands her condition and listens to any concerns about her medical care and treatment. Her physician will be in her life for many years to come. I never want my daughter to think that a doctor or doctors office treating patients poorly is acceptable.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Bleechers when it was his office. Hes great and even then you waited way too long in the waiting and exam room. BUT, his staff was kind, caring and efficient and he was great. Then Dr. B sold his practice to Internal Medicine. The office looks fantastic; its all computerized and thats where it ends. The office staff is all about business. Not friendly, not helpful, just not nice. The exam room gals are thorough, though nearly all of the original have left. OR pushed out. Wish Dr. B would leave...Id follow him in a heartbeat.

Great experience, my doctor was very knowable and kind nature. He makes me feel comfortable and explain everything I require to know with great tact. in general, the complete staff is extraordinary. Very helpful and totally willing to help in any way required. Definitely a nice environment. I highly recommend to everyone this hospital who is facing any kind of health issues. They were amazingly kind and peaceful as it was my first test of this sort. Really excellent and helpful. I genuinely liked them both.

My mother and I moved to Selden a year back. And being new in the area, we had no idea about any decent medical facility. A friend of mine suggested Medical Associates centre and ever since we have been taking their services for any type of medical treatment. The staff is really friendly and professional. Whenever we have any problem, we do not hesitate in visiting this facility. The primary care physician is really good. He always explains his diagnosis in very cordial manner. Keep up!!

I have been suffering from the severe case of sleep disorder. I was suggested by my uncle to visit medical associates new york selden. They have in built testing facility where I was diagnosed for sleep apnea. After my treatment started, I experienced a great improvement. Now I can sleep without any issues. Can say that I would definitely recommend this to my friends for medical tests and treatments. Thankyou Medical associates!!
