I went to this "dr" for severe face and neck pain, and he told me that if spent thousands of dollars on dental treatment that my neck pain would improve, meanwhile I had a tmj, myofacial pain syndrome and said we should bypass the trigger point injections and go straight to the cavities. He lied and said my cone scan/cat scan was normal but when I got my records it clearly stated that my condyle was out of position but since he could make much more filling my cavities, he chose to dismiss me and literally rolled his eyes at me when I asked him to address my chief complaint. My mother in law is a dentist and I had her check his plan and she agreed that my cavities had nothing to do with my neck pain and may not even need to be filled. Meanwhile he tried to charge me thousands of unnecessary work. Im truly saddened by the state that medicine has become, this dentist knew I was in severe pain and instead of treating me for something that would not have been as profitable he chose to forgo and ignore my chief complaint only to fatten his pocket. I dont even care about the money, Im more upset that he couldnt find a solution for something he supposedly specialized in. I have been in increased pain ever since I went to him. I regret the day I say him and would never recommend him!

My husband and I have been patients of Dr.Ratner for many years and will be such for many years to come.I recently had a fall which caused traumatic injury to two of my teeth .His office was closed at this point and I called the emergency number on his office recording and left a message.Within 10 minutes Dr.Ratner called me and was kind enough to meet me at his office and give me the emergency care I so very needed!!His professionalism ,kindness and wonderful skills offered me the relief and ressurance that everything would be okay!! He does above and beyond to meet his patients needs.His office team is a joy to deal with!! They treat you with the highest forms of respect and professionalism and their concerns are apparent.I witnessed this with the callback I received ,the day after my emergency.The office itself is truly state of the art,beautifully maintained and a pleaure to be in.I highly recomend EXCEPTIONAL DENTISTRY to all....

When the appointment was made it was done very personally and professionally. I received a reminder and I had to make a change. The change was accommodated easily to work with my schedule. Upon arrival I was greeted by name and given clear information as to what I would be expecting with regard to timing and treatment. The dental service was very professional in all aspects and my comfort during the visit was certainly being considered by all of the professionals involved. On my second visit it was just as professional and accommodating. Dr. Ratner gave me detailed and comprehensive information as to what I needed to do in the future. He took all the time I needed to understand and made me feel like I was being properly cared for by a well educated and informed team. It is clear to me that Exceptional Dentistry provides Exceptional and Professional Service and I would recommend them highly.

Dr. Ratner is definitely the best dentist around! He saved my smile after an unfortunate accident that knocked my FRONT teeth out. Now my teeth, truthfully, look better than they ever did before! Him and his staff are super accommodating, and you can tell how dedicated he is to his profession. My dad is a regular patient of his, and because of that, Dr. Ratner has come in on his day off to fix my emergency. I’ve commuted from Manhattan several times knowing that I can trust him to repair my teeth issues properly. His staff has stayed late without hesitation to finish a procedure so I wouldn’t be in discomfort. If you go to Dr. Ratner - I can assure you that your teeth will be taken care of, the place is clean, high tech, and you won’t be treated like just a numbered patient. You may even not dread going to the dentist...

Saw Dr. Ratner for an oral appliance to treat sleep apnea. The staff is very friendly. Things seem to run smoothly and efficiently. The office has a good system in place for sending appointment reminders. I have seen several doctors for sleep apnea and Dr. Ratner is the only one who takes the time to do a TENS (Transcutaneous Electro Neural Stimulation)test that is used to find the best appliance fit for me personally, in order to minimize my risk of TMJ or other joint pains that can be caused by the arbitrary positioning of an appliance. The price for the appliance was also much more reasonable at Exceptional Dentistry. The appliance is small and comfortable. I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Ratner, to explore your options for oral appliance therapy, if you suffer from snoring or sleep apnea.

If u need a dentist....please take my advice and go to Dr. Ratner, Tottenville, SI, NY.....the best!!!! :) Bob B. Sept 2015.....I had a cleaning - always superior! My husband had complicated dental work done with stitches and all and it went so smooth and he is feeling better each hour - he was in "good hands" Sue & Bob B :) :) 5/10 visit was as usual - excellent!!! Ever since I was a teenager I had always suffered teeth problems, root canals, dry sockets, cavities, etc..I had them all. As an adult I felt it was time to stop the madness and I was running out of healthy teeth. I came to Dr. Ratner who listened to my story and helped me decide on a solution. Well, not only to my surprise was the Doctor and his staff warm, caring, compassionate people, they really knew their business and certainly put the "Exception" in Exceptional Dentistry..I will never go anywhere else!! I can smile with confidence once again!! And no pain!!! : ).

I needed to find a new dentist as my former dentist closed. I had called a few places and checked my dental insurance for options and placed many phone calls. When I called Dr. Ratners office I knew I had found the right choice- Vincent answered the phone, was professional and kind. My first appointment was great! I was very impressed with Dr. Ratners knowledge, personality and professional tone. I feel like I have met the dentist I have been looking for! The woman at the desk woman and the dental hygentist were also outstanding! I cant wait for my next appointment!

Ive been going to Dr. Ratner for years now and I wouldnt dream of going anywhere else! He is the best dentist Ive been to in my entire life! Let me say I am a BIG BABY when it comes to sitting in a dentist chair. I am sooooo scared! Hes done Fillings, Crowns, even Implants etc. on me and HE WAS AMAZING!! Didnt feel a thing! He has a wonderful bedside manner. His staff is so wonderful too! Love them all! I can go on and on how wonderful he is. If you are looking for a dentist....................look no further, cause Dr. Ratner is your guy!!!
