My dog had been going here for a couple of years, same issue as always, hes a shitzu with allergies and skin issues, after lots of medicines, changing of his food, and lots of money spent, things always stayed the same, so it was more steriods and more medicines, the Doctor and staff always pleasant. On more then one occasion with an appointment they would somehow take another client in the room, Im all for taking care of emergencies first but that wasnt the case in any of the instances, we would get the "sorry about that" meantime my dog is already nervous about being there, and we were always there on time all the time. The last straw was about a year ago after already waiting a half hour past our appointment here we go again acted like we werent even there and took someone else in, no explanation, I went to the desk and explained that it wasnt right and Im tired of this happening to my dog, she had nothin to say except we would be next....lol next so an hour wait. After being a client for almost 4 years we left, I waited to see if the doctor would call me before the night was over and maybe try to fix what happened, no not a phone call for days. I decided my dog is to important to go back there ever again. I want to thank them for giving me reasons to find another Veterinarian, her name is Dr Justine Candrilli, she is a young lady from Bay st Animal Hospital Staten Island, she immediately took the necessary steps to do what was right by my dog, after some knowledge and some medicine for the first month things started going well for my dog, and here we are a year later he gets one certain shot a month and no other medicines, he is 11 yearsold and doing so much better. I thank God, Dr Candrilli and thank you Hylan Animal Hospital for being rude to my dog which made us find another Veterinarian. You may try to defend yourself after this post but sorry to little to late and you know and I know I posted the truth. I do believe things happen for a reason and G is doing so much better now. I want to thank Dr. Andrey Dembitsky and his staff at Hylan Animal Hospital for their caring attitude to my cat. The team at this hospital is wonderful, very responsible and truly lovely people with golden hands to their clients, pets. Dr. Dembitsky performed a dental cleaning, tooth extraction, and surgery on my cat, a Peterbold named Manya. They removed all her teeth. They also spayed her at the same time. The surgery was done with the laser. The operation was successful and the recovery time was quick. On the next day, my cat was already eating better. They are a wonderful and caring team and I highly recommend them.

I have nothing but lovely things too say about this amazing Vet and his incredible staff . My husband and i have been looking for a good reliable Vet for a long time. We are so grateful that we found such a loving and caring Doctor. We have 3 cats and one dog and we wouldnt know what to do without this doctors hands of gold. From our own experience we got all our animals spayed through his cutting edge laser surgery , no scars , but most importantly our animals where back to normal within couple of days only. We would definitely recommend to take any of your animals to the best doctor in the business hands down!

Today was the first time one of my pets ever had surgery, so one can imagine the amount of anxiety i had. However, Dr.D and his staff were very comforting and very professional when it came time for the actual procedure. My dog is 100% okay and i felt confident with leaving my dog Buttercup in their hands. The prices are very reasonable and Dr.D is just as concerned about your pet as you are. They will tell you everything they will do (for whatever you go in for) and at home treatment step by step. Beyond helpful. Special thanks to the Hylan Animal Hospital.

I loved my experience! I have two seven month puppies, one boy and one girl, that I brought in for spay/neuter. From the minute I walked in the staff was friendly and helpful. It was my first time leaving my puppies somewhere other than my home so I was a bit nervous at first. However, the doctor and staff took WONDERFUL care of them. The surgery was perfect. It has been about a month and a half or so since the surgery and Toby and Bella do not even have a scar. I would 100% recomment this place for anyone who is looking to spay/neuter their pet.

I used Dr. Dembitsky when he worked in an animal Hospital in Queens, near me, for a few years on two of my dogs. I always requested him. When I got my third dog I was at a loss as to where to go, because I have been displeased with every other vet I have gone to. Dr. Dembitsky really loves your dog, not just your money. So now I travel from Queens to Staten Island just because I feel my baby deserves the best. He is kind, caring, and his prices are reasonable. But most importantly he is straight forward and honest and gives the best care.

I have been bringing my cat here for over a year and highly recommend this animal hospital to other pet owners. Dr. Dembitsky and his team are caring, compassionate, knowledgeable and friendly, able to perform a variety of surgeries, diagnostic tests as well as senior wellness and new puppy/kitten exams. They can recommend prescription food based on your pets issues, and offer other suggestions on how to best take care of your furry companions.

Sat and waited an hour for my 2 oclock appointment which 2 other people had....one vet on staff..they just double book you and make you sit and wait. When I said I was going to cancel my appointment after sitting there since 2....the secretary with joy said ok!....guess she gets to go home early today. They didnt even offer to reschedule me. Avoid this place unless your dog needs a teeth cleaning.

I have taken my dog there three or four times so far and I really like the place. The vet and staff are very friendly and make you feel at home. They are also really good with my dog. Having anxiety and experiencing fear they act appropriately towards him and try to make him feel as comfortable as possible. I would definitely recommend this place.
