I cant say how great my experience at Clarence Eye Care was. From the moment I checked in as a new patient, to the check-out process, I have nothing but complements to give the staff and Dr. Murphy himself. Dr. Murphy went beyond the "call of duty" and spent so much time helping me. He was genuinely concerned with the health and well-being of my eyes and vision, and took so much time explaining things and finding the perfect customized contact lens for my eyes, considering Im a difficult patient due to problems with my corneas. The staff really paid attention to details and welcomed me by name. I was also very impressed with Dr. Murphys office manager. Insurance is confusing to say the least, and she took the initiative to get to the bottom of my coverage and helped me understand my options. There are a lot of other offices closer to me (Im in the Southtowns), but Clarence Eye Care is well worth the drive time for me. I cant thank Dr. Murphy and his team enough!

Ive been to my fair share of optometrists but never had such a great experience as this one. I filled out an appointment form online for an appointment the next day at 4PM and I received a phone call to confirm at noon. Signing up as a new patient was fast and easy--the staff were very professional and customer-oriented. Dr. Murphy is very honest and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to make sure I understood every facet of the exam and the health of my eyes. I did not even know I had eye care coverage in my health insurance plan, but he made sure to check. Jon was very helpful at the front retail end of the store--he knew exactly what I wanted and gave me many options. They even stayed open for another 30 minutes for me and gave me (3) different two-week sets of contacts to try for free. Overall I was very pleased and felt comfortable with my eyes in Dr. Murphys hands.

Dr. Murphy gave me the most thorough eye exam that I have ever had, including those from a private eye doctor as well as from another upscale local eye center. I learned so much about my eyes from him. What I really appreciated is that he talked to me as he did the exam, telling me what he was doing and why, and then shared the results. The whole experience was wonderful from start to finish. Jon is a very knowledgeable optician and took time with me to make sure that everything was OK. They do not frown upon using old frames. This made me feel as if they were interested in my well being and welfare more than profit-making. I highly recommend them!

I had my annual eye check-up on February 2, 2015 at Clarence Eye Care, with Dr. Mike Murphy. I recommend to everyone that Clarence Eye Care is a great place to go. The entire staff is friendly, and the examination is very thorough. They have all the most modern equipment for checking your eyes. They do an excellent job of working with any insurance plan you have. I actually look forward to going there.

My daughter referred me to Clarence Eye Care. Her entire family goes there now. Dr. Murphy is amazing with children. We had an extensive exam and he kept my son on task and laughing. This will be his first time wearing glasses and they made it such a positive experience for all of us. Stephen was GREAT with him. He walked out with a smile on his face and feels good about now having to wear glasses.

Upon initial contact over the phone with office staff, I was treated in a conscientious manner. During my appointment, the consultations with the optician and optometrist were thorough both in their assessments and patient in answering all inquiries. The waiting area and examination rooms were clean. They also had an excellent variety of frames to choose from. I highly recommend Clarence Eye Care.

Holy moly! After over a year, 5 dr appointments,( 3of them ophthalmologists), a $400 MRI and a thousand hours of anxiety about going blind, the ABSOLUTELY LOVELY staff and Dr s here were able to identify and find a solution to my issues in under an hour.. And even helped me when my insurance was giving me trouble... I could NOT be happier. thank you all.

The exam was great. Very professional and friendly. I hadnt been to an eye exam in many years, and I was immediately at ease with the doctor. I had a problem with the billing of my insurance, where I got overcharged. They worked quickly to correct the problem and get me a refund. Great experience overall. I highly recommend them.

Everything was excellent, everything. Doctor Bartels took care of me, answered all my questions and explained the results of each of my tests. I was very impressed as a new patient to the practice. My wife has her first appointment tomorrow as a new patient. This is the place for eye care!
