I liked the vets work however I will NEVER go back or recommend, here is why: The vet came out to our farm,(my parents and I split the bill between us) did 5 coggins, 10 shots for horses, 3 dogs shots, gelded a horse and did an ‘exam’ on another (charged me over $30 for not even 2mins looking at the horse) anyway, that was not the issue. The issue was he recommended I give the horse shots costing $4 each. I needed three shots, he told me to come by the office and pick them up. The vet came out on a Thursday, I did not make it down to his office until the fallowing Tuesday. I asked to pick up the shots, had cash out to pay when the lady at the counter said that we could not have the shots until our bill was paid in full. I told her that was not an issue to pay the bill, however I had not even received it in the mail yet and as soon as I got it I would pay. She said that we would not be getting the shots until our balance was paid. Mind you, I it had been only a few days from when the vet had been out and he told me to get the shots. Then when I got home I called and asked if that was really the case and another lady said that was correct, I told them that they lost me as a customer, I would pay my bill when I received it in the mail and I was done with them. The only response was “ok” then they called back twice harassing me being rude and using inappropriate language on the phone to me saying that no vet in their right mind would ever bill someone $375. I told her that it’s a very common practice to bill people as a vet after you come to their farm, and I really don’t know any horse farm calls under $375. She proceeded to call me and be nothing but ugly to me on the phone. I will NEVER use this vet again, they obviously do not care about the customer service, or the animals as my horse did not get the $12 worth of shots he needed form the vet ( I did drive to Eufaula and get them) These people will not get any more of my money ever and I strongly recommend you take your business else where so you are not treated like this.

Update on Amberlynn she fell off the ramp that she used to get on our bed Saturday and Tuesday I had to take her to Dr. McCoy at walden pond vet. I was afraid she had broke her back leg and she had a large swollen spot on her tummy near her leg ...Thank U Dr McCoy for seeing her and easing my mind that she is not broke and the meds U gave me for her seems to be working at the swelling and the soreness she had now I need a rabbi shott trying to give her the meds is not easy ...Amberlynn is my 13 year old miniature poodle she is almost as big around as tall and has 21/2 in legs Debbie and Scott tanner

I found a kitty in the middle of the road that was malnourished beyond belief, did not have use of its hind legs, and was suffering tremendous pain. It was a sweet kitty. Being new to the area I just googled the nearest vet. The staff was caring and explained the options. They quickly got me and the kitty in to see the vet and he examined the kitty and put the kitty to sleep with me petting her. It was the kindest thing that could be done and I couldnt have stumbled on a better office.

The good Dr. and his staff have always gone out of their way to provide the best care for my horse, dogs and cats, including emotional support for me and as Ive been witness to, others. When he comes out to the house I pay when services are rendered, as is understood in advance, though he may be more flexible on large bills. I have used this vet since 2001 for more animals than I can count with no complaints. His prices are reasonable and equitable to other country vets.
