I am a patient of Health Star and have been for many years. I have referred several people to this Clinic. And I am so embarrassed when they call me and tell me of not one, but many incidences they have encountered while they were there for their appts. To be polite and not mention a name, but a female DR on the back wall where the Drs do their adjustments, has been heard numerous times, correcting the girls in a condescending manner and tone where the patients can hear. She also seems to be paying more attention to what goes on, on the other side of the wall, instead of with her patients. I have myself noticed a change in her attitude and the way she does my adjustments, but I gave her the benefit of doubt that maybe she was just having a bad day when I went. But for this behavior to continue with others, is completely uncalled for, and unaccepted. By the way she has been described, and I have seen, in her treatment of the therapy techs, I am most certain, this would not be tolerated by her, if the tables were turned. I have considered contacting the owner, and still may, but thought I would try my first attempt to have this corrected by the office manager. Until I see or hear of any changes - I regret to say, I will NOT refer anyone else to her.The staff at the front desk and the therapy techs that perform our therapy before we see the Drs, are the very most polite and courteous young ladies I have encountered.They do not make you feel like a patient, you feel like you have known them forever. They are always running and on their toes when the machines alert, or to any patient needs during the therapy. I could not ask for anymore from them. They all deserve a big pat on the back. Now the other Drs, are also very polite, and seem to take more attention to their patients care and needs. So, IF any more referrals are given by me,I will refer to one of them instead. I moved to Alabama from the other side of the country where I was previously under chiropractic care and they were very willing to get any new chiropractor I found all my xrays, charts etc and even have a phone conference with the new chiropractor. The Staff and Doctors at Health Star at first are very friendly but they didnt show any concern for my specific condition and never contacted my previous provider and kept stringing me along for a while saying "oh they havent sent your information over yet" or "we never got it" even after I confirmed with my previous provider that they sent it. My back was feeling okay, so I kept going. My last two appointments the secretaries at the front didnt bother to tell me that I was scheduling myself for a time when my preferred Doctor, DR. West, wasnt in the office. After the first appointment I was in a lot of pain with 3 spasm attacks in a week where I couldnt move for 45 minutes. Desperate for relief I went back in to see if they could help me, which they couldnt. The different Dr I saw barely asked me any questions about my pain, before attempting to adjust me. I walked out of there that day still in a ton of pain. Over all, I felt like Health Star was trying to push me through a one-size-fits all treatment plan without even trying to understand my specific needs. Ive since found another Chiropractor.

The best treatment for someone who is just starting the on set of neck and back pain. I truly believe if they had been around when I first started having neck and back pain in 1988 I would never had to have surgery. I highly recommend Health Star. The staff is at the top of the chain. Always willing to help and you never see them without a smile on theyre face. Its nice to see people who enjoy theyre job. Treatment is still very good even after having 5 lumbar surgeries.

LOVED the DOCTOR, NURSES and the ANESTHESIOLOGIST. However the Nurse Practitioner "Drew" he is very judgemental!!!! He was a smart butt on the phone when I was asking questions about the test I that was scheduled for me. Then the day of the test, he was once again a smart butt. Talking to the Nurse about me, like I could not hear him, or he did NOT care. If not for Drew I may use their services again if I ever need any test but otherwise NOT!!!

This is the 1st time in my Life! When I sign my name I am called within 2 min. The staff is so warm and friendly yet professional. I just recently moved closer to the area compared to the 2 hr drive for previous appts that I would constantly have to reschedule. They were interested in my care and obliged me every time I needed them too. I would give them 10 thumbs up but they only 5 stars available!

Sturbridge helped me with my back and neck problems from an accident I had. The Staff and Dr. West were very friendly and helpful and helped me to regain my ability to function normally. My headaches went away after my treatment and I am so thankful for everything they have done.

They dont do proper hand adgustments. For example, when I have back pain, they put me under ultrasound radiation that feels like nothing but wasting time. The only helpful thing was neck tractions.
