Dr Salevitz was excellent. Was able to assess my squirmy son with out too much difficulty. His office staff left a lot to be desired. The nurse was very rude, rushed, and had no idea how to deal with a young child. She wouldnt even help me open the door when I asked, as I had two kids in my arms, and bags dangling from a stroller. The front office receptionist (who takes your insurance card etc) was extremely rude, insensitive, uncaring, and could care less about answering any questions one might have. She referred any questions to the billing office despite the fact there were three very qualified, helpful ladies behind her who could/did answer my questions. Great doctor, but by the time I got to him, I wanted to pull my hair out.

Doctor Salevitz may have positive reviews but his staff who answer phones should maybe speak clearly and be a tad bit empathetic when a Morher is explaining her daughters eyes are drifting so badly she (double blinks as I call it) to correct her vision. My poor 17 month old!! Ill do my job and find someone who can see her sooner than the 5th of February given her pediatrician said this needs be addressed ASAP! Im sure Doc is great but his staff needs to learn better! (Two stars simply because I did my homework and read how wonderful Salevitz is!)

We were referred by my 12 year olds Endocrinologist. I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Salevitz so far. Our first experience was wonderful. He made my daughter feel comfortable and joked around with her, while telling me what to expect with her condition. He was knowledgable, detailed, and reassuring with me and jovial with her. Very pleased.

Dr. Salevitz is the man. Fixed my 5 year olds strabismus. Hes a straight shooter kind of guy that you might get a wrong impression of (hes speaks his mind), but I wouldnt trust my kids eyes under the knife to ANYONE else. If you are in need & looking like we were a year ago and were worried too - STOP. This is your place. Highly highly recommended.

Dr Salevitz is very thourough and precise. Has patience with little ones. No long wait in the waiting room as well!
