Dr. Ainsworth uses both Eastern and Western medicine. I feel that I can ask him anything and that he has a genuine concern about my animals’ well being. I feel he understands my husband and my natural life style and supports us in telling us how to incorporate this into our animals’ lives. We drive 30 miles to see Dr. Ainsworth and it is totally worth it! We met Dr. Ainsworth on his last day of the clinic that was close to our house. My Pekingese had been experiencing extreme pain that our vet could not explain and was waking up screaming every night. We came to him for acupuncture. My Pek, like so many Peks, is very wary of strangers and normally will attempt to jump off the table than let a strange nurse or doctor touch him. Dr. Ainsworth came into the room quietly and whispered the entire time. He kept his breathing very deep and slow. My baby did not even try to run from him! I had never seen that before! After asking my husband and I many questions and running a few tests, Dr. Ainsworth gave my dog acupuncture. My dog had no problem with the acupuncture process and his pain quickly subsided after a few days. We were all able to sleep through the night. It was wonderful! Dr. Ainsworth checked in with us to see how my dog was feeling that next week. On a second occasion, we drove 30 miles to his new office for him to again see my Pekingese. He was able to diagnose the problem quickly and expressed to me, a lover of Eastern medicine, that the Western medicine was needed in this case. Dr. Ainsworth called us to let us know the results of the tests promptly and to check on my dog’s progress. My husband and I highly recommend Dr. Ainsworth to any pet lover!

I have had 3 dogs in my lifetime. My current best friend is Pumba, an 11 year old pug, who thinks he is the toughest, biggest dog on the block... But in reality he is a spunky old wrinkly pug with a few nubby teeth and grumpy attitude ( too big for his own good). Mesa Northeast is the hands down, best vet I have ever had. Dr. Ainsworth has been so great with my first 3 visits and you can tell he just wants best for the dog. They dont try to upselling or charge you for unnecessary stuff. They are reasonable priced and he has personally followed up to check on Pumba after he had minor procedures done. Pumba has a tendency to cut his paws or split nails... Also did I mention Dr. Ainsworth does acupuncture too?? Yesterday I had to go in for an emergency and Dr.Hansen was in the house. She expertly took care of Pumba and personally followed up as well. She was friendly and great with him too! Finally, I need to give a shout out to Ron. Not only is he a great guy and been there everytime I bring Pumba in, he is professional, courteous and fills in at the front desk much to my surprise yesterday. The staff at this place is truly amazing and you will feel confident bringing your fur baby here. Also wanted to say, my last emergency visit was with Dr. Hansen and she was also fantastic!!

In response: there was urine and feces all over the walls and floors. I actually sent my bill back 3 times....I was even charged for the fecal sample prior to obtaining it and have the bill for it :) (I took a picture of all 3 bills and finally got fed up and just paid for crap I shouldnt have been charged for) They didnt find a tick I FOUND THE TICK and pulled off. Macks did not have a high fever, and he had an EAR INFECTION. I took him to a different vet and finally got him on a better antibiotics, rather than paying $20 for 100mg doxy. Hell I know vet techs who can do a better job. IF YOU RESCUE A DOG FROM MCACC THEY WILL TRY AND FORCE YOU TO OAY FOR THE EXAM EVEN THOUGH THEY SUPPOSEDLY OFFER A FREE EXAM. Lucky he did get giardia just being there. No gold star for you. Horrible people. Horrible vet. Such a filthy environment. There was crap all over the walls? I never write review but they literally tried scamming me and I had to have them refinalize my bill over 3 times. The first one was over $600 and my dog that I rescued of the e-list had ONE TICK in his ear..... She didnt even look inside and thats the only reason I went in. They charged me $48 FOR A HEARTWORM TEST??? Them mcacc charges 20....... What a scam!!!!!!!!!!!

I previously went to this Animal Hospital when Doc Nowicki was the vet--he is also a friend of mine. Doc Nowicki highly recommended Dr. Ainsworth to me and I recently obtained services for my cat by Dr. Ainsworth. I inquired with him because my cats gums were black and I assumed she had gingivitis and needed a cleaning. Dr. Ainsworth was quick to explain that blackening of the gums are part of the normal aging process for cats, however he discovered she had one tooth that had "tooth resorption" (very painful in cats and difficult to detect by the owner). I found Dr. Ainsworth was very thorough and spent plenty of time answering my questions and describing the procedure needed during the initial office visit. I returned to have one of my older cats tooth extracted and was able to stay with my cat until she was given pain meds and ready for the procedure. Dr. Ainsworth took blood for labs prior to the procedure and was very detailed in explaining the labs to me. All the staff was wonderful and very friendly. Upon checking out, I found the bill to be less than the original estimate. I am very satisfied with the service I obtained and will not have my other cats teeth and labs checked as well.

They are excellent! Everyone at Northeast animal hospital are perfect. Dr. Ainsworth took great care of our dog that had diabietes and was reaching old age. He always took great care of spike and truly became his perfect health care provider. He truly spoke for what spike needed. He was the best vet ive ever known and seen. I would only take my future pets to Dr. ainsworth i promise you will not find a better veterinary doctor out there. He truly advocated for spikes needs and i trusted him to the fullest and when my dog went into kidney failure do to old age at 13 years old he told me the truth which was my dog would not have a quality life anymore and it was time to send him in his way. It was the hardest thing ive ever done but dr. Ainsworth put me and spike at ease during the procedure and it was as best as it could of gone. He was able to detect spikes diabeties so that i got 4 more months with him by regulating him with insulin. Northeast animal hospital is the absolute best out there in animal health care! Thank you all at northeast animal hospital! Thank you DR. AINSWORTH for everything!

Ive only been once so far but the doctors were professional and friendly and spent a lot of time with me, and I was happy with the outcome/treatment. Ill go back. They had an emergency come in that caused me to wait maybe 30 minutes which normally bothers me but they were all apologetic about it, which helps so much. I felt like being kept waiting wasnt the norm. So many places just act like how dare you expect to be seen on time, our time is what matters, not yours! That wasnt the case here. I kind of wish there was a separate exit like some vet offices have, and a somewhat cubicled waiting area, since one of my dogs has an aggressive side around other dogs and is pretty large and scary looking. Thats about my only suggestion. The rates seemed fair and I was happy that both I and the neighbor who referred me got a discount.
