Doctors are ok, but when they send you to the Opticians for frames/lenses, run. Thought Id change things up for my newest prescription and let the opticians/lab inside Riviera Opticare do my glasses and lenses, instead of Lenscrafters. Big mistake... First, it took a week to get my lenses in for my heavy prescriptions. I thought ok at first, I can wait a week, no big deal. I go to pick them up, and after driving away, I find out the right lens is crazed (lots of small cracks), and the left lens was made with the wrong prescription. I end up having to wear my previous glasses now becasue the crazing causes light scattering, and why would I wear glasses with the wrong prescription? Take them back, and it takes yet another week to get the lenses made. They come back a second time, and guess what? The right lens is crazed again. At this point, I ask for a refund for the lenses so I can take to Lenscrafters for the lenses, as I dont think they can do the job right. Lenscrafters does it with no problem, lenses are great. Problem is, my prescription is so heavy that the frames stretch out. After some time now, the frames (that I purchased from Riviera) dont fit well. I asked Riviera why this wasnt made known to me, and they tell me that they dont know this until they put the lenses in. What, how do you not know that a certain prescription might stretch out the frame? Riviera assures me that when their lab made the lenses, the frames didnt look like that, and now blame Lenscrafters for beveling the lenses wrong. Well, Ive got news for you Riviera, your lab has zero credibility with me after screwing up my lenses, twice. And I maybe wore the glasses for an hour after round one, so how would I know that the glasses wouldnt fit properly. So I asked what they could do for me, and their solution is to charge me for new lenses. Not going to happen, Ive got lenses in the glasses already. But a bad review online will happen. Sorry, we wont be bringing our business there anymore. Ive worn glasses for 20+ years, and this is the absolute worst situation Ive had getting glasses made. Being in customer service myself, I find this unacceptable.

I needed a light subscription but the subscription was very aggressive and it hurt my eyes and I paid out the ass, like 300 for 2 pair of the lenses (just the lenses not frames, because I brought my own frames). I wore them occasionally at work, walking around and at the computer etc, but I noticed that they were extremely uncomfortable after a couple months because I didnt wear them much. I brought them back in and told them what I was experiencing and that one of the lenses felt better than the other. The technician confirmed that there was a slight difference in both lenses (not on purpose) and specifically one of them was definitely not right. They didnt fix or help me, they actually expected me to pay more to get new lenses. DONT GO HERE!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Reckell for over 10 years at her Mesa office. I have always received stellar care and service from her and her staff. My eye conditions require special care and no matter how busy the office or doctor may be, I never am disappointed. While the office can be busy at times, it only gives me confidence that this Doctor and her medical office is in high demand. The selection and service is always top notch. The Opticians there; Mandy, Michelle and Alexis, among others, are always willing and able to go the extra mile for me and my family. Thank you!

Riviera Opticare used lies and scare tactics to get my money. After a routine eye exam, I was told thered be no charge for the follow-up visit to see how the contacts were working. But after the follow-up visit, the staff insisted I owed $70--and wouldnt budge. Dr. Breshears told me I had a severe dry problem and needed to come back to see her once a week for follow-ups ($70 each). But when I got a second opinion, an ophthalmologist told me I didnt have a problem at all! Scary!

Great customer service from beginning to end! The technician was amazing! Possibly the best customer care Ive ever received. I waited a few minutes to see the Dr. but Im pretty sure thats because I showed up early for my appointment and was taken back early. Plus, I dont mind waiting for a minute when I know Im getting a quality product like I know im getting at Riviera. (this isnt some "McDonalds quality" Dr. office). Highly recommend!

The doctors and staff have been generally good, but this is the second time running when they ordered the wrong prescription for my glasses. I had hoped to have my new glasses before a trip at the beginning of July, but the ordering error messed that up. Now, almost 3 weeks later, they still dont have my glasses in. Im not pleased, and the receptionist didnt seem to care. Im seriously considering finding another vision care provider.

Ive used Riviera Opticare ( Dr. Reckels) for the last 5 years and have been very satisfied with the total experience there. Their operations are well organized. The initial exam is done by their staff on a variety of optical machines. All those results are then available for the balance of the exam done by the Doctor. Quick and efficient. I like that. They also have a wide variety of glasses from which to choose.

I waited for several weeks for my bifocals (I use them for computer work). When they came and I tried them, it turns out the prescription was set for distance. So I had to leave them there so they could go back and be redone. We are now at two weeks (was supposed to be 7-10 days) and I STILL dont have them and am now having problems seeing the computer at work. Think its time to change.

Unacceptable lack of customer care. It took more than two months to get lenses corrected. I waited for the doctor for 2 hours. Her fingernails are so long she poked me in the eye during an exam. Im so sad Dr. Breshears is not longer there. She was great. I will urge my retinal specialist to stop referring this clinic, they dont treat their patients very well.

Thorough Eye Exam. I have been getting eye exams my whole life and this was the best I have ever had.I think Dr Judy Breshears is a wonderful doctor. I will go nowhere else. Be careful when getting eye glasses because It is easy to get carried away and spend way more than you wanted to on frames. I am a sucker for good looking women trying to sell me stuff.

Ive been a patient for over 12 years. Service has been fantastic. They get me in and out of the office efficiently. I appreciate appointments that stay on schedule with a thorough exam. The selection of frames is always very diverse, with some very nice options. Excited to get my new glasses!

The staff are very good and service is amazing. Their estimate of when glasses are getting here is horrible. "theyll get here next week, in 2 days, in 3 days, tomorrow, next week." very frustrating.
