My husband & I moved to Casa Grande, AZ five years ago. One of the best experiences in our search for new medical providers was when we found Dr. Quaranta. He is simply the most caring, thorough, and professional eye doctor we have had the pleasure of knowing. After Dr. Quaranta opened his new practice in Chandler, AZ, we continued to see him even though his office was forty-five miles from our home. My husband, who suffered from a disease of the cornea called Fuchs Distrophy. Prior to moving to Arizona, he had a corneal transplant to restore his vision. Although the transplant was successful, a long healing process occured. In order to have impoved vision he needed to have a gas permeable hard contact. After examining his eye, Dr. Quaranta took the extra time needed to design the proper lens and prescription. Thanks to Dr. Quaranta we shared an emotional moment when for the first time in over two years my husband could finally see clearly; and with 20/20 vision! We are happy to say that we are in the care of Dr. Quaranta and his capable staff. It is the attention to detail and caring manner that makes us feel as though we are his friends as well as his patients. Dr Quaranta is very dedicated to his craft. Its great to know that I have a doctor that genuinely cares about my well being. "Dr. Q." in my mind is not just an eye doctor, hes a specialist in the sense that he specializes in the care of his patients. His bubbly personality makes him easy to talk to about your concerns and not have the judgemental feeling you can often receive from someone in any medical field. His knowledge and his willingness to assist is awesome. My very recent bad eye experience actually took place on last Sunday - I went to urgent care and waited a couple of days to see Dr. Q. because it was not getting better. One of the first questions he asked me was how come I didnt call him on his cell phone to let him know what was going on. Wow!! I was speechless. Hes diligently working to eliminate the corneal ulcer in my eye and has aggressively addressed it with genuine passion and concern exercising the utmost in professionalism. He has not and is not making any promises to me but encourages me to take one step at a time. If you are in need of an *Eye Care Specialist*, I suggest you become a part of the Sonoran Desert Eye Center family. I can go on and on and on - I love his spirit, his wife has an amazing personality and the entire staff is just great!! Thank you Dr. Q.!!

I stopped in with an emergency - my one year old had broken the side off of my glasses, with a vengeance! This wasnt a clean break; it was ugly. The place Id bought them (which WASNT Sonoran Desert Eye Center) had told me they were non repairable. And they were pretty blunt about it. But when I arrived at Sonoran Desert Eye Center, Mya gave me a broad smile and was happy and quick to help! She quickly realized I had a busy schedule and she offered to work on the glasses (replacing the temple piece with another one*) while I was doing other things. I took her up on the offer and after a short while, she texted me that shed been able to repair the glasses. Mya is just an absolutely amazing lady and I have to say Ill be returning for all of my future eyeglass needs. All the staff I saw and interacted with were super nice and friendly. I really cannot recommend them enough! * When Mya mentioned shed be using another temple piece on my glasses, I joked that Id PREFER it not to be pink or purple. She IMMEDIATELY came back saying shed planned on using a nice fuchsia color! :) I love when people have a good sense of humor!

Customer service just ok. Asked for information about my eyes to be emailed, told yes, no email. Twice charged more for my glasses instead of using the correct insurance information. Pushed to buy new frames instead of using the 2 year frames I really liked. Said no and both the young lady putting in my lens order and the doctor were visibly not happy with my response. The doctor does a very complete eye exam. But looking for a more professional office in terms of solid customer service where they SMILE and act like they really are happy to see you. After reading my review, the eye doctor called me. He asked for feedback about what went wrong during my visit to his office. The doctor did say that my feedback was very valuable. Hopefully they will put what I shared into action especially after reading other reviews that had some of the same experiences. The front desk has been very friendly, helpful and has even called me several times about my new lenses and refunded my overcharge. If this is the way I will experience future appointments, I am confident that I will be very happy.

When I needed new glasses, I shopped for months looking for the right pair at the right price. I shopped all of the "value" eyeglass deals, only to find they werent much of a value. An online search brought me to Sonoran Desert Eye Care, followed by an in-person visit to the store. The entire staff was professional, patient and courteous. I had a comprehensive eye exam (much more thorough than what the other places were offering) and ordered a top-of-the-line titanium frame with polycarbonate lenses for LESS than the cost of a lower-quality pair at the "value" eyeglass stores! The staff went out of their way to work with me (thank you, Crissy!) and help me make good choices; consequently, Im extremely happy with my new glasses! I am so pleased with the entire experience I had with Dr. Quaranta and the staff at Sonoran Desert Eye Care. No need for me to ever have to shop around for my eye care needs again--Ive found the best place in the valley. Thank you!!

After my eye exam in Jan. 09, I was told I needed to see a specialist in glaucoma. I was referred to Southwest Eye Center. After waiting a month to just get an appointment, driving an hour out of my way to the location where I could get an apt, I had to wait 3hrs. just to see the doctor. I also had to do a follow-up exam with the same results, 2 months til an appointment, hour drive out of my way, and 3hrs. till finally seeing the doctor. I looked around on line for another glaucoma doctor close by me. I found Dr. Q and tried him out. I was able to get an appointment the next day. I was seen promptly, with Dr. Q taking his time going over my previous diagnoses and doing his exam. I feel like a patient who is cared about and not another number in a list to make a buck. We have switched to Dr. Q for all of our eye care needs.

Im just very grateful for you Dr. Q. For years I searched for a way of seeing in three different areas, one right after another. Im holding a piece of paper in my hand where there is information I need. Im driving a car and need to see street signs and the road, Im looking at my dashboard, all of this within seconds of each other and it was so difficult to switch from one to the other and be safe and be able to see clearly. Not a problem anymore. You figured out a prescription that works perfectly. It took a lot of time, effort and patience on your part and besides that Im a perfectionist so it had to really be right. I have been to many other eye docs and was so frustrated because nothing worked. I just wish I would have gotten to you sooner so you could perform your magic.
