We brought our infant in for the infantsee screening program this practice offers. It was advertised as a free service in an effort to get all babies screened, so when we called to make the appointment we made sure that was true. It was, so we came in for our appointment and Dr. Duval was excellent. He explained everything well and kept our baby engaged and happy while he checked his eyes. He seemed very thorough, and I was pretty excited to use him for future appointments. As we were getting ready to leave, however, his assistant asked us for our insurance information so she could bill the insurance company. I clarified again that this was offered as a free service and she said shed bill the insurance company first, and if they didnt cover it then theyd use the infantsee program. That didnt seem right to me. After telling me my insurance didnt cover it and then finally finding out that it did they called me back and asked me for a copay... For a service theyd told me was free. The amount wasnt huge obviously, but I could have chosen any doctor in that case, instead of choosing this one particularly because he participated in the infantsee program. Hes a good doctor - its a shame his practice is being run that way.

Our family has been extremely impressed with the high quality care we have each received from Child and Family Eye Care Center in Provo. Dr. Duval has state of the art technology in his office and is able to explain everything in a way that is totally understandable and accessible to those of us who arent from a medical profession. One of our children is currently in vision therapy with Dr. Duval and this has proved an amazing benefit to her. Not every doctor is able to successfully work with children, especially those with strong wills, but Dr. Duval is more than up to the task. He has been able to motivate our child to work hard at her therapy and has struck an important balance of firmness in not letting her do less than what he knows she can do and at the same time, helping her not become overly frustrated and discouraged when she experiences challenges in her therapy exercises. Whether you need new glasses, a straightforward eye exam, or more serious eye care services, I cannot more highly recommend Dr. Duval and Child and Family Eye Care Center in Provo.

We are 8 weeks into my daughters vision therapy and seeing huge results already. At the start of the summer we realized there was something wrong. Going into third grade, she could barely read. A VERY thorough eye exam quickly revealed multiple vision disorders. Vision therapy was recommended. Long story short, she still has a long way to go (a few more months, at least), but today she read two chapters in The Adventures of Peter Cottontail and understood it. That would not have been possible a few months ago. Thrilled with the progress we are seeing. The staff know their patients and genuinely care. Friendly, courteous, helpful, professional. They take the time to explain everything. Highly recommend.

Each time I ask Dr. Duval questions, he takes time to answer all my questions thoroughly, and asks if I have any more questions. He even showed me a short video, which explained my problem in detail, and helped me understand it more. Also, I had extremely dry eyes, and Dr. Duval first suggested conservative treatments. When that was not sufficient, Dr. Duval inserted punctal plugs in my drainage ducts to keep my tears in, and he got them in painlessly on the first try. I had this procedure done years ago by a different eye doctor, and it was a lot more pleasant when Dr. Duval inserted the punctal plugs! I am very pleased with Dr. Duval and his friendly, professional staff.

I was in an auto accident. My vision have changed ever since, I went to get my eyes checked but was told that I have 20/20 vision. I also lost hope thinking that I was crazy, but then I was referred to this center, and they were able to diagnose me!!! I was not crazy! In fact my vision did change due to my brain injury! Ive never felt so happy to be told that there was something wrong with me!!! The staff specially the doctor were all extremely friendly! I highly recommend this center!

I went in for an eye exam on Friday and it so exceeded my expectations! Trevor was amazing and friendly and Dr. Duvall was professional, knowledgable and you can really tell the love he has for what he does. His practice all together is something truly amazing. From the optical part to the vision therapy side of the clinic. I truly believe his practice is making a significant difference to anyone who walks in their door. I highly recommend this clinic for any of your eye needs!
