I have been a patient of Dr. Simms for over 10 years and recently have been very disappointed with the care I receive. The office staff is always confused as to whom I am and if I should or should not have a co-pay. I never have had a co-pay for annual exams and then all of a sudden the office staff demanded it before I even went in to see the doctor. Every staff person in the office seems like this is their side job and does not really care about their patients. The front desk staff is very rude and unprofessional. I recently called to get a copy of my prescription and the letter sent over had spelling and grammar mistakes up the wall, they even spelled my name wrong!! The glasses are wayyyyy overpriced. Yes they are "designer" but $700 for a pair of glasses after insurance is ridiculous. You can go literally anywhere else for glasses and get them for under $100. I think it is time to get a new eye doctor that has a staff that knows how to handle patient affairs professionally and kindly. Again, Dr. Simms is an amazing doctor, but this is a great example of how the office staff can kill a business.

I cant tell you how thankful I am to have found this office! Prior to visiting this office, I had abandoned contacts due to dry eyes and was told that Lasik wasnt an option due to my dry eyes. I was so frustrated since its hard to be active/working out with glasses sliding down my face and athletic goggles were not ideal. Dr. Sims suggested OrthoK and it has changed my life! I love them! As a new patient to OrthoK she even made herself available outside of office hours when I had some challenges with the contacts. Both she and her staff are thorough and attentive. As a result, my entire family travels from Tempe now for annual eye exams, contacts and glasses. While I can understand that glasses/contacts may be more expensive, I would argue that you are not only paying for the product, but the quality service behind it. My daughter has greatly appreciated the blue anti-reflective coating suggested by Dr. Sims since she is frequently on her computer. I highly recommend Urban Optique and will continue use this office for all things eye care!

I have been going to Dr. Simms for about 6 years. I have always been pleased with the level of service and the Staff is always helpful, ok since I am a pain, way helpful. It was suggested to me that I may want to try the new 4D glasses that are made for progressive users. There is a computer that makes all the measurements for the glasses to be made. It is 5 times more accurate. I decided to give it a try. WOW! is all I can say. It is FANTASTIC! I have a hard time with being over sensative to prescriptions and this was so easy to wear. There was no adjustment period or headaches. I have told everyone about it and Urban Optique. I love Todd and Thomas. Shopping with them for my new frames was as much fun as going out with friends. The staff and Dr. Simms are always there to make it a easy and simple process and being a busy Mom and Wife, I am always thankful for that.

There is not a better, more caring and professional eyecare office in Chandler than Urban Optique. I have a very complicated vision problem and have been to numerous offices throughout the valley trying to find a doctor that could help me. That search was over after finding Dr. Simms at Urban Optique and I have remained a patient of hers for many years now. The office is a warm and inviting boutique styled shop and the entire staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I strongly recommend Urban Optique to anybody that has eyewear and or eyecare needs…they provide care they way it is supposed to be given!

I liked Dr. Simms, But Todd Drake that runs the glasses department is horrible to deal with. I was due a new pair of glasses under my insurance plan and wanted to get new lenses in my existing frames. He quoted me a price of $605. I said that was not possible because I paid $278 less than 2 years ago for the frames and lens from the same shop with the same insurance. His response was "Thats your plan" referring to the $605. He writes down numbers blank paper and is put off when you ask how he comes up with his numbers. In general, his people skills are downright poor. I wont be back.

What a great experience! Thank you Dr. Sims and staff! They fit me with a new multi-focal contact and I see great now near and far. I was a bit skeptical of switching contacts. Dr. Simms explained everything very thoroughly and made me feel comfortable. The staff also followed through to check on my satisfaction. Also, the staff helped me picking out a pair of sunglasses, which is always difficult for me. I definitely recommend. Prices were reasonable as well!

I am so grateful to have Dr. Simms in my life. She and her staff go above and beyond in every way. She suggested Ortho K for me on my last yearly exam and I am so happy that I tried it. I now wear a corrective lens only when I sleep. During the day I have perfect vision whether I am working on the computer, reading or driving without ever wearing contacts or glasses. I have recommended her to my friends and family.

I love that this office is open on Saturdays and that the staff is really nice. The last two times I visited the office my wait time was less than 5 minutes which is so great. Dr. Simms is incredibly kind and personable. The contacts I get are a little pricey there, they run at about $40 a box when I can get them for $20 a box at Costco but thats not a huge issue. I will continue to visit this office in the future.

Their glasses and lenses cost are 3x higher then Costco! If you dont start competing with box stores your business is gonna die. $160 at Costco vs $400+ at this location.
