I have been a patient at Dentistry at the Biltmore since I moved to Arizona in 2006. When Dr. Lienau retired a couple of years ago, I wondered if I would like the new doctor as much as I had Dr. Lienau. You get used to a doctor, and change can be difficult. I really liked Dr. Lienaus practical nature and his staff were wonderful. After a couple of years with Dr. Leila Hakimzedeh, I am even more satisfied as a patient than I was with Dr. Lienau. Dr. Hakimzedeh, like Dr. Lienau, does not try to sell you up, but she and the staff (primarily the same staff Dr. Lienau had), are a bit more proactive in letting you know what treatment options are available for necessary dental work as well as cosmetic improvements, but in a very low key, no pressure way. I was there recently, after putting off a much needed crown for a chipped tooth for almost a year. I went in at 9:30 for a cleaning and one crown (though I need 3 total) and one of the others was really becoming sensitive. Dr. Hakimzedeh and her staff worked through their lunch, and did both crowns, start to finish while I was there. It was Dr. Hakimzedehs birthday as well. I was blown away with the dedication of the staff as well. All were working together and hustling to handle all the patients as there were several others getting crowns as well as the routine cleanings, etc. Yet, at no time did I feel they were rushing to complete the process and move on. The staff were professional and friendly as they always have been, but I noticed a genuine comaraderie among the staff being in the chair for a couple of hours that I had not had an opportunity to observe in the past. Dr. Hakimzedeh has been steadily upgrading the practice since she took over, adding new technology that allows for more thorough screenings (a black light for oral cancer screening), and less time/trips to the dentist (a 3-D printer for crowns). Both of my crowns were done start to finish in less than 3 hours. I would definitely recommend Denistry at the Biltmore to anyone looking for a dentist. They are not affiliated with any of the group practices that have become so prevalent which is another plus as you will always see Dr. Hakimzedeh and her staff and can build a relationship over time that allows them to understand your overall goals regarding your dental health.

Ive been going here for a few years and its always been fine, but the new dental hygenist is the reason Im writing a review and with such high marks. Ill start by acknowledging that the office is clean, welcoming and front desk personnel is friendly. But the hygenist (Melinda?) was an outstanding example of what you want in a hygenist. She was friendly and professional, but more than that, extremely proficient at her job. Getting your teeth cleaned is not the most fun experience - staring awkwardly with a gaping mouth at a stranger you hope wont stab you in the gum with a sharp metal toothpick. But she expertly handled the tools, never once making me wince yet really got in there! She was sensitive to my experience, not just trying to get the job done but making sure of my comfort. Plus she was very knowledgeable and shared some really good oral hygiene tips! Which really, why dont all hygienists take the opportunity to educate you on oral hygiene? They literally have a captive audience and can easily fill that awkward silence with some knowledge. Anyway, I left with clean teeth, no headache and most importantly no gritty remnants of toothscrub stuck in my teeth! Thanks!! Highly recommend this office.

Not counting my time Active Duty Military Ive had 8 dentists. Two were terrible (unnecessary dental work, not empathetic to pain, etc.). Four were average and two were exceptional. Nonetheless with my history "Trust" is earned and not given lightly. Leila Ghafouri is simply outstanding. Graduated from the top dental school in the country top of her class. I wont comment on how I know this but suffice it to say I do my homework. Had a crown done four months ago. My old crown had chipped and was starting to cause pain (she had warned me previously that this would need work but Im stubborn). New crown best Ive ever had. Same day 1 hour in and out. No re-visits to adjust bite. She is both the lab and the dentist! And Ive never had a crown done where it did not require a re-visit, many times two re-visits. Why would anyone get an uncomfortable temp for two weeks while the lab does a mediocre job producing a crown? Not me. Never again. Only about one in ten Dentists have invested in this technology. I highly recommend Leila to anyone in Phoenix Area for three reasons. Integrity, technical expertise, and a willingness to invest in the technology that greatly benefits her patients.

Going to the dentist is now a very pleasant experience....since I found Dr Leila. I had to have all of my old crowns replaced...such an ordeal !!! But not so much....what a difference since 30 years ago. No more gagging with impressions, then getting temporaries for two weeks, then returning once again for the temp removal and finally the crown placement... one at a time. It took forever to get all of mine done in the 80s. Dr Leila makes them while you wait, two or three at a time....while you wait you get to watch Netflix or listen to music on her IPAD With a HEADSET! Voila! Alas , very smooth, Perfectly sculpted, beautiful, strong, great quality new crowns ! Dr. Leila is a lovely, kind, gentle person and I totally trust her. Charming Lorena at the front desk and Yvonne,her assistant, are also very kind, efficient, knowledgeable and caring. You know, I almost look forward to coming here ! Thank you all very much !

I cant say enough good things about the entire office. The staff is friendly and professional. The receptionist took the time to complete all of the referral forms for me. There was no wait time. Dr. Hakim is very knowledgeable and instantly puts you at ease. She takes the time to explain everything so that you dont need to ask any questions. Jill, the hygienist, is great! She is very thorough and has a wonderful personality. It is clear that their goal is to do everything possible to take care of their patients.

Today was my first visit with them and I am pleased to say it was lovely. Scheduling and setting up my insurance was quick and easy too thanks to their friendly staff. I worked with Melinda, who was patient, gentle and fun to talk with. I hadnt been to a dentist in over 2 years, an was in desperate need of a cleaning and checkup. She was quick and carful and my teeth feel 1000% better. I am looking forward to visiting with them in the future and will be recommending to anyone in the phoenix area.

Love this practice. Praises for Dr Hakim, her gentle touch, her ability to listen and explain, her cutting edge technology. She works with patients to weigh options and find the best solution. She has made both an onlay and a crown for me with her 3-D printer. Start to finish in less than 2 hours, perfect color match and size/fit. Photo, prep tooth, photo, print, bake, cement, done. This is how dentistry should be. Entire staff is great too.
