Sadly, Horizon did not handle the end of life with my pet (of over 18 years) respectfully and Connie at the facility was not only short with me but also condescending when I called to change my mind about ashes or no ashes. Front desk assistants are just not trained to deal with these situations and Horizon either needs to do sensitivity training or have patients schedule the time with a vet to go over option etc. If your pet is end of life, do your research! There are caring vets that will come to your home and perform the euthanasia service. Dont do it in the sterile environment of the vet that makes a profit on your pain. My guy died at home but sadly no one tells you what to do when they go, so i entrusted Horizon. Sad mistake. I learned the hard way that you shouldnt leave your pet at the vet if they do go. They dont tell you when the cremation people will pick up your pet that is sitting in their freezer, they just speculate when it will happen. Instead, you should know that you can call a respected crematorium that will arrange pick up of your beloved friend, or you can take them yourself (google it) so that you have control of how and what happens to your pet. Also, always and I mean ALWAYS ask about side effects of every medication a vet prescribes your pet and google that prescription. Never take their word for anything. Also and most important, dont allow your vet to make a profit on your loss, or at least if you do, chose a vet whose front line staff doesnt treat you like you are wasting their last 10 minutes of the day "repeating details" that they were already filled in about. Shame on you Connie!

Overall we are happy with the care given to our cat. The doctors and staff are friendly and helpful and go out of their way to accommodate our schedule needs. We are concerned with the prices for some aspects of care. For example, our cat had bad constipation and needed enemas, plus an x-ray and IVs. That bill was almost $400. The following week, the constipation returned and the new bill was over $200.The cat may be developing chronic constipation and at this rate I would be spending about $600 a month for enemas. I cant do that. Also, they charge $15.00 to clip her claws - something my other vet used to do for free as part of any visit. It takes 3 minutes and is no big deal, but we get hit with the $15 each time they are clipped. That would not be a big deal if it werent for the fact that we are spending so much on the other care. I also had some concern about their infection control because following the use of a rectal thermometer on my cat, the tech wiped it off with an alcohol wipe and put it back in the drawer. Everyone knows that an alcohol wipe is not going to sterilize a thermometer. Also, I never see their techs wash their hands before or after handling my cat.

Absolutely the best! I did a lot of research in order to find a Vet for my Yorkie. Horizon Animal Hospital was always at the top of the list. Then I checked their website and loved what I saw. Being the former wife of a Vet; might have given me a little insight into Veterinarian world. I immediately made an appointment for my 2lb Yorkie. It was his first Vet check (outside of the breeders responsibility) and I was looking more at personalities than qualifications. Horizon had both! Dr. Glover was AMAZING! She handled my little Yorkie and put up with all of my new-puppy-owner questions! I took my dog back again for another set of vaccines and again Dr. Glover was great! My Yorkie had another vaccine and he was in heaven with all of the attention from the staff! Staff members were all extremely friendly to me and my Yorkie. Everyone wanted to hold him, and of course he loved them back. Because of Dr. Glover I will always take my Yorkie back!

Horizon Animal Hospital has taken such good care of Duke my dobbie! The staff is more than pleasant to be be around, the veterinarians know exactly what theyre doing and they love each pet as if they were his own! I cant say enough about the staff, they go above and beyond! Follow up calls just to see how hes doing ♡ So sweet! In the past all my pups Ive had do not want to go to the vet, even Duke the dobbie but here he wants to run in, run behind the counter and remind them Hey, Im back! Looovvveee mmmeeee! He just gets some love from the staff as he wags his stub! Hes had the best treatment! From the first day we came in, through surgery, Dr. Penn is just amazing with dogs ♡ half the time Duke cant decide if he wants to go home with me! :D I cant say enough about all theyve done for him and I am so grateful! Thank you to everyone ♡ I will continue to go back in the future, I have found my new vet! Thank you ♡ for loving Duke as much as I do!

Ive been taking my kitties to Horizon for years now. Love the waiting room - makes for a much less stressed kitty. The vet and workers are great. If Ive needed assistance with the heavy carry case, they meet me at the car. I particularly have appreciated that I have been able to use naturally products that Ive secured also. When I found I was going to have to spend a fortune on kd cat food I was most concerned. The first year there were coupons and free shipping on these products on-line - not so anymore. One thing youll find on the internet is a lot of noise about vets charging greatly inflated prices. Will Im telling you that Horizon has COMPETITIVE prices (and your not paying postage). And low and behold, I got a $5 off coupon in the mail from them. Just call me a happy camper:)

I have been taking my pets to Horizon Animal Hospital for close to 10 years. Two years ago, I moved out of the area clear across town, about 40 miles away. I still continued to drive to Horizon for our yearly check-ups, immunizations, etc., but when my dog became ill, I needed to go somewhere close to home. All I can tell you, after one visit at another animal hospital, it was all I needed to convince me that Horizon is every mile worth the drive. The care and compassion I have received at Horizon, compares to no other. They are honest, compassionate and have your pets best interest at heart. They are also considerate and take the time to make the pet parent comfortable and understand the needs of your pet. We Love Horizon!!

I have been taking my pets to Dr Beth for nearly 30 yrs! I took my first dog to her and was very happy to find her again when I moved back to Arizona. Dr Beth is very knowledgeable and takes great care with all health problems that my pets have had- from nearly losing "my Bean" from Giardia related issues causing anorexia to dentals, growth removals and the trials of having a pet with diabetes-she always know what to do. I love her assistant ,Andrea, who always remembers my dogs idiosyncrasies. And my day is always brighter when I talk to or see Sonya at the front desk! Horizon is open 7 days a week and they have always been helpful and very flexible with scheduling. Thank you everyone for the great care and support!
