Would have given it no stars, but in order to rate it, you need to fill it in- I am thoroughly disgusted with the staff and the service provided to our pet- during August 2010 stay. We have NEVER- i mean, NEVER- left our pet at a kennel prior to this visit- We always hired a pet sitter- however, we Recently we lost a 15 year old dog, and we thought that 8 days alone for an 8 year old Weimeraner- with only 3 visits daily would be too much for our beloved Weimeraner. We had researched various kennels, and we decided on Raintree pet resort due to close proximity to our house and services offered. We dropped our dog off on Friday afternoon- and although I told the reservation person on the phone who our vet was, the vaccination history was never requested- This delayed our drop off. We asked for a bath and nail clipping on the day of pick up - since he would be playing for a week, and sleeping in a kennel. When we picked the dog up, he was panting, hot- told to give him ice chips and sips of water only- We paid $600.00 for 8 days, with exercise and small suite for the 8 day stay. We asked if he was bathed- and although it was circled on the intake form, had not been done- We were told someone forgot to imput it into the computer= WHAT?? SPoke to someone named Chris, who said, bring him back and we will do it- or we could wait 15 minutes for the service- I was not going to send the dog back, since he obviously seemed very stressed out ! That afternoon, he continued to be hot to the touch, warm, and lethargic- We thought it was from too much exercise, heat, etc. Since it was Sunday, nobody was there after noon to discuss it Monday morning at 7 am, we woke up to find- the dog, burning up with fever and limping- he was not willing to leave his bed to eat. We called right away, and the same person- Chris- told me that is was not uncommon for a dog to be :" exhausted for 3 days" after a visit with them. She did say that if he is limping, we may need to have him checked out That evening, after work, he was febrile, with white gums- We brought him to the emergency vet - where x rays, IV antibiotics, and minor surgery had to be perfromed on his paw, which had an abscess. The dog was septic- ended up staying there for 3-4 hours This cost us $ 575.00 FOr 8 days- we ended up paying almost $1200.00 I called and spoke to the manager- Julie- who said- This did not happen at the resort, they would have noticed it- and she is sorry we did not get our bath my point being, if he had the bath and nail clipping-, someone would have noticed his injury- only to call us and let us know how he is doing- It is 15 days later- he is still limping, but now off antibiotics and pain meds. We NEVER GOT A CALL FROM THEM TO SEE HOW THE DOG WAS DOING Would seriously think about bringing your pet to this establishment Very overpriced, and not attentive to detail. The vet thought he was sick for at least 2 -3 days- prior to visit. He was obviously never examined- wonder if her really had the play time- since, he was hurt prior to us getting him.

I brought my Golden (Sadie) in for euthanization. We are very new to this area of town and needed a caring Vet. We called and right from the start the staff showed true empathy for our great loss. They made room right away in their schedule and asked if I was doing OK. Upon arriving at the medical center we first noticed how clean everything looked and helped us right away. They showed us to the exam room and took out a comfortable blanket for Sadie. They could tell my son and I were pretty much a mess and offered us some water while we waited. Two of the caring staff came in and prepared Sadie with an IV AND had a warm hot dog for her to eat. She loved it! That little touch of thoughtfulness really meant a great deal to me. They then took an impression of her paw and gave it to me in a beautiful little box. I was moved by their care for my dog and for my son and me. Shortly after the doctor came in. He was very caring and sensitive to our grief. He explained what was going to happen and waited until we were ready. Sadie very quickly went to sleep for the very last time. What a blessing Raintree Pets staff was to two grown men crying and saying goodbye to a beloved member of our family. We had never been to Raintree before but they treated us like long-time customers and friends. I highly recommend Raintree for all your pets needs.

I have been bringing my dogs to the Resort for years and have only positive things to say. The entire staff is top notch. They are beyond accommodating and truly love the animals that are entrusted to them. I do want to say, though - that as amazing as everyone at Raintree has always been, I came to fully understand the true character of each of them during a very difficult time recently when, very unexpectedly, I had to put my beloved cat down. From the initial phone call letting them know I was coming in to the last minutes with Sambo - I felt as though they were part of my family and I was the only person in the building. The care and attention that they gave was remarkable and Dr. Savard is truly one of a kind. He was patient and understanding and thorough and compassionate. I was not just another customer in those moments. I left feeling the comfort of true caring individuals and was blown away when a week or so later I received a sympathy card that was personally signed by each employee. You will not get the type of service provided anywhere else. The bar has been set by Raintree.

We offer our sincerest THANKS and personal gratitude to Dr. Savard and his entire staff for their recent compassion and understanding regarding our dear Yorkie Nikki. As we lost her due to illness, your kind hearts and empathy during this difficult time for us could not have been more helpful. Your thoughtfulness with her paw print, the gentle manner in which she was handled, the kind cards you and your staff mailed to us, and the arbor society contribution that enabled a tree to be planted in her name are priceless to us. The nice clean office, friendly staff, and first class facility are great, but the human touch that was presented to us is what stands out the most. We would not hesitate to encourage or recommend your services to anyone who might need the professional services all of you offer. Keep up the good work, thank you, and thank you once again. The Marlow Family

I have a very shy dog and I was very apprehensive of leaving him at a kennel for my vacation. I went to 4 different places to look around and compare. I work right next to Raintree Pet Resort, and my boss referred me here, and I couldnt be happier. The staff is very nice, the facility is clean, they were nice enough to give me a tour and answer all my questions, and there prices are even lower than any of the other places that I looked at. To top it all off, my dog who hates being anywhere but home, was HAPPY when I picked him up and kept running back to the girl that brought him out! He smelled clean, and was happy and that is so much more than anywhere else couldve given me. I will definitely bring my little BUDDY back there soon!
