To be quite honest, I cant say enough postive things about Scottsdale Cat Clinic. They are, hands down, THE. BEST. My husband and I have three cats (Anais, 10 years; Jasper, 10 years; Milo, 5 years). Our kittehs are our furry babies. We would do anything for them, but sometimes its hard to find the right fit in a vet. We started going to Scottsdale Cat Clinic about 3 years ago after enduring repeated negative experiences at a diffferent local veterinary clinic that treats both cats and dogs. First off, let me say that we noticed an *immediate* positive difference at SCC. From the front desk staff (We love Tara and Diana!), to the vet techs (You ladies rock!), to the doctors themselves (Shout out to Dr.K and Dr. N!), we feel our furbabies are *well cared for* at Scottsdale Cat Clinic. Particularly our girl cat, Anais, can be a handful at the vet. At home shes our darling girl. But she gets easily stressed out, and previous vets had extreme difficulty treating her since she would try to scratch, strike, and bite them. But never at Scottsdale Cat Clinic! Dr. Karnia and Dr. Nelson are so kind and empathetic with all our furbabies, but they are especially good with Anais. They have worked with us on several fronts to make Anais vet visits go smoothly. We no longer have problems with her scratching, striking, or biting at the vet. I cannot tell you how much that eases my MamaCat heart. No one wants to see their furbaby in distress. And now we can get her the care and medical attention she needs. Dr. Karnia and Dr. Nelson have also been fantastic at helping us figure out overgrooming and food allergies (Jasper), as well as litter box and hearing/deafness issues (Milo), as well as effective treatments for hyperthyroidism (Anais) and the early stages of heart disease (Anais and Jasper). Finally, weve been able to set up all three cats on annual dental cleanings at SCC. We would *highly* recommend a dental at SCC to any of our cat-loving friends. Particularly in the case of Jasper, his first dental turned our tabby boy into a "new" cat. My husband and I hadnt realized the poor condition of Jaspers teeth and how much pain they were causing him. After several extractions, a thorough cleaning, antibiotics to treat the underlying infection, and pain medication to help him through recovery--Jaspers kitten-like energy has returned. And he is our happy, affectionate, pain-free boy again. All in all, we will *always* take our feline furbabies to Scottsdale Cat Clinic. Their compassionate, knowledgeable care has made a world of difference for our family.

My husband and I could not be happier with the Scottsdale Cat Clinic. During the two years we have brought our cats there, we have found the staff to be caring and competent. The facilities are always clean and seem to be very comfortable for our cats. The staff knows us and our cats and we never, ever feel like just another client/patient here. This is truly a cat clinic run and staffed with cat lovers. Cats, and their humans, could not ask for a better place to go for the next vaccine and check-up or when theyre feeling under the weather. When we have had to bring in our cats for accidents or illness treatment, we have always received a follow-up call from Dr. Karnia herself to check on how our cats are doing. Our experience with routine care has been that the staff is very good at explaining *potential* costs for all procedures, ranging from standard urine tests to dental care, and answer questions thoroughly enough to make informed decisions. Also, anytime we have had questions or concerns our phone calls have been returned promptly. We never felt rushed to get off the phone and, often, Dr. Karnia has taken as much time as needed to help us understand the issue we may be having. If she didnt know an answer, she looked into it and got back to us as soon as she could. I really dont know how much more personal service a vet can offer than that. This is true for the rest of the staff as well. When we brought a new, four-month-old kitten into our home, the transition for our resident cat was rocky, even after a three-week separation introductory period. There were issues with eating, sleeping (for everyone in the household, even us) and a flare-up of our resident cats chronic condition. Throughout it all, the staff returned calls, answered questions, gave helpful suggestions and even called to ask how things were going when things had settled down a bit. We were never pushed to bring in our cats for unnecessary examinations or treatment, which we also appreciated. Also, when we had to board our cat there due to a family emergency and couldnt find a pet sitter, it was one of the few times our cat came home without seeming shaken up by the experience. We would -- and often do -- recommend Scottsdale Cat Clinic to everyone else owned by cats.

First, let me start off by saying that when I came across the Scottsdale Cat Clinic, I was not looking for a new vet. I’d been going to the same vet hospital for 16 years; the service there was fantastic and the doctors were wonderful. Scottsdale Cat Clinic donated a basket to a charity event, and I won it. Part of the basket included a free visit, so I thought I’d use the free visit voucher and then go back to my regular vet hospital. But after my first visit there, I knew I’d be a lifelong client of Scottsdale Cat Clinic, and I’ve now been a client there for a year. (I actually look forward to making appointments for my cats!) When you first get there, it’s peaceful, homey and welcoming – perfect for a stressed out cat. And, because it’s a cat-only clinic, you don’t need to worry about barking dogs. You’re greeted by Tara, Sara, Jillian and/or Katrina; you know their names and they know yours. After greeting you, they take you right in where Jillian or Katrina does the first part of the exam, both of whom do an amazing job. Next, you’ll meet either Dr. Karnia or Dr. Marschel. I’ve seen both Drs. and couldn’t be happier. Both of them are exceptional, knowledgeable, friendly and great with my cats. I’m pleased with whichever doctor examines my cats, and I’m glad that Dr. Marschel has joined the hospital (she’s relatively new there). When you check out, you get a helpful report card that summarizes your cat’s health and exam. Additionally, the personal touches to these visits are awesome. After my first visit, I received a handwritten thank you card signed by everyone at the hospital. And when my kitten was neutered, Tara put together a “get well” bag for him. Outside the bag was my kitten’s name and picture and inside the bag was treats, toys and recovery information. And they do this type of stuff for every single client. I could go on and on about the hospital and staff and doctors. Really, I love this hospital. They treat you like family and I’m so glad that I found them. I hope you take your cat there, too, because you will be in great hands.

This is really an excellent place to take your kitties, so glad I found it! As a cat mama of five it is very hard for me to find a vet that I like and trust. I want a clinic who takes the time to talk to me about my concerns, knows exactly what they are doing when it comes to my kids and will work with me and my crazy schedule--I have found all of that here. I was first impressed by this clinic when I called around to various vets in the neighborhood to bring in a stray I had been feeding who had some serious injuries. Most vets either turned me down for a same day appointment or would not take a new patient in general. When I called SCC they said they were completely booked, but if I could catch her and give them a 20 minute heads up I was coming in--they would fit me into the schedule. I next took one of my own babies, Muno, who was having stomach issues because they were again able to fit me in same day for an appointment. The front desk staff was phenomenal and so friendly and helpful. The technicians were great and Dr. Nelson was fantastic. She answered all my questions, thoroughly assessed Muno and didnt pressure me when I declined some of the treatments she had suggested. They gave me a tour of their beautiful clinic (I mean a complete tour-- surgery rooms and lab areas included) and made Muno feel right at home. I read several reviews about how people think they are overpriced, but honestly I havent found another vet in the area that was any less expensive--especially a specialized veterinary clinic like this. They even have an exam room set up for a feline cardiologists they work with, which was the icing on the cake for me because I have a little one with Cardiomyopathy. I was extremely impressed with my experience at the Scottsdale Cat Clinic and will certainly be moving my veterinary care, at least of the cats anyways, to this location. I would highly recommend them to anyone!
