Beware! My veterinarian ordered Chemotherapy pills for my dog that has cancer. I received the package promptly in the mail in a yellow mailing envelope. I placed the envelope on my counter and went upstairs to put away something. I was upstairs for about 3-5 minutes at the most. When I came downstairs the envelope was ripped open and Chemotherapy pills/and chemo dust were all over the place along with remnants of a dog treat that was put in the package. My heart sank. 2 of my dogs were full faced into 40 chemotherapy pills eating them and the treat! What the heck?! Why on earth would they put a treat in a package that has toxic poisonous chemicals in it?! This is not the smartest idea considering dogs sense of smell is 1000 times stronger than ours and they will do anything for a treat. Here is the next problem. I rushed my dogs to the pet emergency so they could induce throwing up to see who got the chemotherapy. One of the dogs was cleared but the other one had the majority of the missing pills. Chemotherapy ingredients were all over her tongue and in her belly. Poison control was called and they said that these levels can cause organ damage and sometimes dogs were put to sleep if not taken care of promptly. Thank god I was home when this happened and that I acted quickly to get them to the pet emergency center. They did all kinds of other stuff to my poor doggie to stop the absorption of the chemo and to coat her stomach. They wanted to keep her over night but i started getting concerned for the vet bills so i opted to take her home later that day after they watched her for a few hours. When I called diamondback drugs I asked to speak to a manager and unfortunately got connected with a "manager" or "director" by the name of David. I was really upset with him when he told me that I would have to pay for another set of $370 chemotherapy pills and that all they were gonna do for me was not charge me for the shipping. I couldnt believe what I was hearing. I never ordered a treat with my chemotherapy. I cant see through the package to see that a treat was in the envelope. They never asked me if I would like a treat to be placed alongside the Chemotherapy in the envelope. Total negligence on their part. David was so rude to me and said "maam you are irate so I am going to get off the phone with you". Really? is this how you treat your customers? He was not concerned for my dogs well being at all nor did he take ownership that the company should rethink putting a treat in an envelope full of chemotherapy pills. All he wanted to do was get me off the phone because he didnt like that I was upset. He told me to call back when I calmed down..Well I would have been calm if he had handled the situation better. I should not have to pay for another round of chemo or the vet bills involved because of their negligence in putting a treat in my envelope without my consent. Of course I am going to be upset! This practice needs to stop. I ordered Chemotherapy and not treats. All they care about is your money and not your animal. This guy was cold as ice.

Absolutley horrible pharmaceutical company, you would expect doing only a single thing, which is making compound medicine, would be straightforward for them, but even this seems to be difficult for their incompetent minds. It was such a hassle to just order some basic medicine like liquid prednisolone "fish flavored." First, lets start off with the customer service, apathetic, to say the least. They keep you on hold for 20 minute intervals, and it seems so difficult to "build an account," apparently its protocol to have your vetenarian call them in order to confirm you have the legal right to order this medicine. I asked whether I could simply fax, or laserscan the prescription to them, but they said no, the vetenarian has to personally take the time to e-mail them in order to give them "official confirmaiton." So here I am going back and forth about 3-4 times between my vets office, and this company just to order the medicine for my cats. Next, technical reliability. I had to give them information on three different bank account cards until the payment was finally able to be processed. At first I thought this was my issue to begin with, so I called my bank and they confirmed it was an error on their side. More than likely some kind of server issue, but really? Three times in a row until finally their failure of a system was able to respond? Finally, when I recieved my order I was absolutely shocked to find that my order of liquid prednisolone was not "fish flavored," when I specifically asked every representative whether, or not it was confirmed to the "pharmacist" that,"was it going to be fish flavored?" They responded everytime saying, "yes this medicine is going to be fish flavored." Least to say Ive already spent almost $70 dollars on this medicine, and did not recieve what I asked for. My cats, unfortunatley, who have no choice, but to take it for now due to their hormonal disbalance are not enjoying the bitter flavor in their mouths right now. Thanks Diamondback Drugs! For making a hassle out of purchasing simple medicine, and making my cats life a living nightmare every night.

As a veterinary professional (CVT) working both in clinical practice and in business I was impressed by the representatives from Diamondback that I met at ACVC in 2015. As I only work in the clinic part time these days, the convenience of having my dogs drugs shipped to me instead if driving to the clinic to pick them up on a day off was a huge selling point. My dog is on multiple anticonvulsants and the price offered from Diamondback was much more reasonable than the current local pharmacy where I was getting her drugs. The reps I talked to also touted 10% off and free shipping, which only turned out to be halfway true. After repeating my address multiple times during the initial phone order and spelling "Philadelphia" three times (pull the phone call if you want a laugh!) my prescriptions then ended up at a nonexistent address that is basically in the middle of the Delaware river. In the timeframe it took to rectify this snafu, my dog ran out of medication and had to have an emergency script called in to a local compounding pharmacy. I dont like to count a business out because of one bad experience so I gave Diamondback another shot. The next few refills were fine, though I would suggest that you send clients a confirmation email that their refill request was received, like most other pharmacies do. This time around was the last straw. I called in a refill request last Monday (today is the following Tuesday) I have since had to have a second emergency script filled at a local pharmacy for my dogs potassium bromide... and after literally more than five minutes on hold I was told that the tracking on her package was showing it as being located in Denver, Colorado 8 days after the initial order. Her Zonisimide arrived alone, just fine, two days ago. They were ordered the same evening. Nice try on getting people on two shipping charges though! The quality of the drugs that my dog received were fine. The quality of service that I received is something that I would not wish on my worst enemy. I will not be using this pharmacy again.
