Words cannot describe how truly grateful my family and I are for the service Gentle Journey provides. Dr. Kacie was exceptional in helping our family go through such a difficult time of putting down our precious dog Scout. We had our beautiful Scoutie for almost 13 years and she grew up and helped me raise my children. She played such an incredible roll in our lives. Scout had severe heart problems and was suffering so much. Our Veternarian, Dr. Jennifer Colmar, Banfield on Mayo recommend your service to us. The day that Dr. Kacie came to our home Scout greeted her at the door along with our other sweet dog Olive. Shortly after Dr. Kacie arrived Scout began coughing and wheezing terribly. It was at that point that Dr. Kacie reassured us that we were doing the best thing, and giving our sweet Scout peace. Dr. Kacie with the utmost professionalism, empathy and compassion explained the process and asked us each step of the way if we were ready to proceed to the next step. It was the most peaceful process and as difficult as it was to let our Scout go it gave me comfort knowing that she was in our home surrounded by my family to send her off over the rainbow with love. Once Scout passed Dr. Kacie gave us private time to spend with Scout. Dr. Kacie wrapped Scout in a beautiful blanket and our sweet girl looked so peaceful and beautiful as though she were sleeping so soundly. This experience truly gave me peace. Dr. Kacie also let our little Olive have time to walk around Scout and sniff her for the last time. What truly gave me extreme peace was that Dr. Kacie informed us that Scout’s ashes would be sprinkled on a farm in southern Arizona. The ironic thing is that Scout was born on a farm in Arizona and now she is at rest once again on a farm, she truly lived the full circle. Dr. Kacie was so kind to send a Sympathy card shortly after Scout passed. Again Dr. Kacie was amazing and I am so grateful for her taking us through this process. Dr. Christina I am so grateful for the service you provide. Although putting our pets to rest can be so painful the service you provide makes the process so much more peaceful and comforting. Sincerely, Letty Andrews

When I moved out of my parents house back when I was 18, I was called by a friend in Michigan that they had found a fluffy puppy roaming the woods in the winter. She was cold, hungry, full of burrs and needed a new place to call home. I was excited to bring her into my new life and throughout the years she had been one of the best dogs that any pet owner could have ever asked for. Fifteen years later, and a move out West, she was getting to the point where getting up and going potty was almost impossible. After searching around for the best places to help Zoe and us through this difficult time, we chose Gentle Journey. Throughout the whole process the Vet was just excellent, she came to our house, met with Zoe and helped us put her to rest. We helped her load Zoe in the back of her SUV and waited for the phone call to receive her ashes. Going through this process was difficult, but with the help of Gentle Journey it made loosing Zoe a little more bearable.

Thank you Gentle Journey for being with us in our last moments with our pug, Bruiser. Bruiser had been part of our family for 14.5 years and had been struggling with physical pain and dementia for over a year. We knew it was time to make end of life plans for him but we continued to delay making the decision. Thats when we found Gentle Journey! For his final moments, Bruiser was able to lay on his favorite blanket, on his favorite couch and relax as we loved on him. When we were ready, Dr. Kaycie very compassionately administered a shot and Bruiser immediately passed. We were able to spend some time alone with him before we wrapped him up in his blanket and carried him to the vets car and placed him in a bed she had made for him. Dr. Kaycies care and attention made it such a peaceful, loving experience. We have recommended you so many times as weve shared the story of Bruisers passing with friends and family. We feel so blessed to have found you!

Our beloved dog and family member of 9 years, Jayde, struggled with treatment and meds in an attempt to counter degenerative spinal disease. She finally lost her ability and/or will to fight this morning. Dr. Boisjolie and Gentle Journey provided us with the ability to say goodbye to our loved one in our backyard in the shade of a tree surrounded by the balls she used to love to chase. My 27 yr old daughter, who rescued Jayde from the pound at 5 weeks old 9 yrs ago, was there with us as we held her and watched her slip peacefully away. After her passing, our 2 other dogs were able to see her and, we hope, able to sense Jaydes passing. One of the two, Jaydes playmate for the 9 yrs, seemed to linger and tried to smell her breathe and seemed to understand. It was both heart breaking and beautiful. Thank you to Gentle Journey for the service they provide.

Dr. Christina and her staff are amazing. I always knew that I would have to make the decision to euthanize my sweet Dante, but I still never actually believed that day would come. When it did arrive, I knew that I could trust Gentle Journey to make our final farewell as easy as possible. I brought Dante to Entrusted Pets, Inc., and had him euthanized in the comfort room at the facility. It was such an incredible experience. I always said I wanted to be the very last thing he saw as he passed and I was. I was nose to nose with him as he was receiving his injection. It was a very intimate experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Christina was great at explaining the process as it all was happening. She took her time and helped to make both me and my mom feel very comfortable. Thank you for helping to care for my Dante in his last few moments.

The team here provided excellent service during or recent loss of our long time best friend and loved pet. From the after hours answering service, to the team that I picked up his ashes from. They were all very professional and personal. As bad as the situation was to put him to rest, they did everything they could to make sure that the experience was all about putting him at peace, and helping me through the process. I was treated as a pet owner and person in grief, rather than just another account. I know its part of being a pet owner, but its never easy to make that decision to put your best friend down due to pain and old age. I was thankful that the team at Gentle Journey also understood that and offered excellent service and follow up throughout the entire process. RIP Kenai.

Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is never easy. Unfortunately, with 4 aging cats, our family had to go through this experience 4 times over a period of a few years. Each time Dr. Christina guided us through this process. She helped us identify when the time was right. Our cats were able to stay in their home environment the entire time, minimizing extra stress for them or for us. She explained things, but let us decide any details that would be more helpful or meaningful to us. Gentle well describes the way that our cats and family were cared for by Gentle Journey In-Home Euthanasia. I would definitely recommend this service for anyone who has to say goodbye to a pet and would like to be able to do so in the comfort of their home environment.
