There are good and bad things about this vet clinic, but overall I didnt have a super positive experience. The pro is, they keep prices very affordable, and I do think that Dr Gold is very knowledgeable. Hes not the sort to recommend expensive prescription foods or other services you dont really need. I ended up sometimes having longish wait times here, but totally understand that that happens when its a small office and dont really have a problem with it. The office is kind of dingy and unwelcoming, which I could totally get over if the vet was great. I didnt think Dr Gold had great bedside manner with my pet, though, and I didnt feel like he was always listening to me when Id tell him what was going on with my dog. We wound up with an accurate diagnosis of degenerative myelopathy, which is a terminal diagnosis; my job was just to keep my dog comfortable and decide when it was time to let him go. A few months later I brought my dog back for a follow-up; physically he was doing okay, but hed suddenly developed some pretty extreme fearfulness about noises. I wanted to ask the vet whether an anti-anxiety medication might help, and whether this personality change might be due to the DM. Dr Gold not only reacted sort of like I was an idiot for asking the question, he also had no idea what I was talking about... I dont expect him to remember every patient and detail, but he clearly hadnt even glanced at my dogs chart before coming into the room, so I was trying to ask him questions about my dogs diagnosis that the vet was unaware my dog even had. Although hed diagnosed it himself the last time we were there. When we left I was no more informed about how to help my dog with his anxiety, wed accomplished nothing, and my own anxiety was through the roof because of the vets manner with both of us. When it came time to put my dog to sleep, the last thing in the world I wanted was for him to spend his last moments in that office with a vet who hadnt historically been real compassionate. I found a mobile vet who met us in the park and my dog went to sleep for the last time in peaceful surroundings with a vet who was great with both of us. When I got a new dog a few years later I found a new vet, and dont intend to ever go back here. This office might be a little cheaper than other places, but frankly Id rather pay more to go somewhere else and get a higher quality of care.

I had stayed awake all night due to my 12-year-old chihuahua’s deep, hacking cough. My regular vet could not get me in the next day, but Dr. Gold’s staff was able to squeeze me in and although his lobby was packed, he still took the time needed to talk about the three things he thought might be causing it. He started with conservative treatment (let’s fix the least complicated/cheapest symptoms first and go from there, the best approach as far as I’m concerned) and the allergy medicine helped for a week until the cough started up again. The staff again squeezed me in for an emergency anti-inflammatory injection, and it helped for a few more days until I decided to follow the doc’s recommendation for x-rays and found out that my kid’s heart was enlarged and pressing on the bottom of his trachea which was causing the coughing. Dr. Gold had mentioned the possibility of congestive heart failure on my first visit, but he never scared me into believing this was our only option for treatment until we actually had the x-rays in front of us to prove it, for which I am eternally grateful. Rocky’s condition worsened overnight, so I decided to have him mercifully euthanized the following day. Once again, even though they were working me in at the end of the day, they not only honored my request to do the injection in the grass out back under their beautiful trees, they had even laid out a large brown blanket prior to my arrival to further comfort us. But the most touching part was that, a week later, I received a sympathy card signed by the entire staff of hospital saying how sorry they were for my loss. They barely even knew Rocky, yet their comments were very specific to him and that card became a lifeline for me during a very difficult transition. My previous vet, who I had told about Rocky’s passing, where I had spent thousands of dollars over the years, and who I had informed that he was no longer with me, didn’t even bother to return my call. I just can’t tell you how impressed I am with Dr. Gold and his staff, I can’t believe how competitive their pricing is for the level of service they provide, and I am so grateful to have found a lifetime vet to take care of my future furry kids. Thank you so much Dr. Gold and staff, you are the best!

I worked at this vet in the kennels I loved the job I mean who wouldnt working with dogs and playing with them all day but I left because I didnt like the way animals clients and workers are treated there its sad there is roaches every where not normal ones either huge ones disgusting I mean every where the roof in the big dogs kennels is falling down and dogs were treated like dogs and I dont like that every dog has its own personality you just have to learn what they like and care for them show them you care no one did that none of the workers get along with one another its like a Jr high and they show it there are a few girls there that are nice and carding but not many Dr gold himself and Erin his assistant are always angry and never happy I had one of my friends bring her two dogs in for a week while she went on vacation and they was border together they got in a huge fight blood every where they stitched the dogs up really good and took care of them but they treated me as a child told me I couldnt talk to my friend at all until after she got back and they called her first they didnt let me go near the dogs which were more comfortable with me cause they knew me and I worked late that night and they took 4hours of time I worked hard work and didnt pay me for it cause I was supposed to be off early that day but when the dogs fought that was an emergency that I helped with they didnt want to pay me for it I would never ever recommend any one to this place mostly if you knew how disgusting it really was you wouldnt either

I have NOOO idea why this place has a good rating. Im in town today and needed to have my dog vaccinated for rabies, because were moving to Hawaii. My husband found this place, and all the reviews seemed really positive. We easily got an appointment, which was great, but we experienced nothing but RUDE and UNFRIENDLY staff. We walked in and felt unwelcome from the start and waited for the Vet. Dr. Gold walked in, never even said "Hello," and proceeded to babble about our situation and that we didnt print the correct forms needed. He gave our puppy his vaccination, and our little fur baby, who is usually VERY great at the Vet, was screeching and freaking out from pain. He had blood all over him, and it was dripping on the floor. Dr. Gold just looked at him, and we were appalled and trying to help our baby. He just said, "Well, I guess I poked him just right." We just stared at him wondering if he would even apologize or try to help our puppy, and there was just a silence in the room until he said, "Hes poked, hes done." We seriously couldnt believe our eyes or ears and left as fast as we possibly could. That guy is a psychopath, and I have no idea why anyone would take their sweet little babies there. I will be reporting this as far up as I can. I wouldnt even give him one star if I could. DO NOT COME HERE.
