I USED to love this place. Dr. Senter used to think outside the box, wouldnt nickel and dime you to death, would help coordinate treatment plans by consulting with other docs as necessary with a simple phone call. But over the last few years, her priorities seem to have changed and none of those qualities apply anymore. They were completely unaccommodating when we had to put TWO of our special needs dogs to sleep. No sympathy cards after from them or anything, like in the past. They constantly want to refer out to specialists now--for virtually eveything. And in the last several visits, I have specifically heard the words "I dont have time for that" out of her mouth and her assistants---NUMEROUS TIMES! Once when I wrote an email to them when I was upset with the behavior/remarks of one of their techs, it was another tech (Dr. Senters husband) who addressed it, instead of Dr. Senter--guess, she didnt "have time" for that either. I dont fault anyone for starting a family of their own but it appears to have taken precedent over her practice. (Evident by the crying baby in the background on the phone while her husband argued with me about the fact that a sympathy card SHOULD have gone out to us--but didnt.) Unfortunately, I have to take my business elsewhere, because my pets are MY CHILDREN and are JUST as important to ME. Sadly now, I NO LONGER feel my pets are important to Dr. Senter. Very sad is that I had been a client at this location for over 16 years--even before Dr. Senter was there. P.S. I should add: Once in her maternity absence, they had a "sub" vet that was sooooo HORRIBLE that he kept insinuating that my dog was going to be dead within a year. "Bless your heart for taking this little guy on, but it probably wont be an issue in a year". Said it repeatedly, with additional references that he would die within a year, but hadnt even read his chart, wasnt up to speed on his (and his brothers) illness/disease--special needs. Ridiculous! This is the kind of person they leave the care of their business with??!!

Unfortunately we cannot say the same , we went there in January this year the Dr was very nice, but then we returned on April end of March and we were sent to another Vet because she was having a baby , which is great. So she prescribed our dog with acepromozine he needs that to face storms etc. We had refills for a year but when we call today to transfer the refill to another pharmacy because 1800 meds take 10 business days and we are in the middle of the monsoon season, with thunderstorms and lightening every day, they would not transfer, they were saying the Dr needed to see the dog again, and the man that answered us was such a robot repeating and repeating the Dr cannot refill without etc.e tc. blablala, on top of it he said they had no register that our dog was seen, unbelievable. He would not stop his robotic speech to listen we had the medication we just want to buy it someplace else because the dog gets very bad, cries and cries . Last night he barked for three hours. But this man would not listen kept repeating his robotic speech without listening. So finally in front of such an inhumane, insensitive answer , I hang up. So I decided to call 1800 meds and they were so nice they said we will transfer ,dont worry to your pharmacy in the city you live, so understanding. On top of it we were told we had a year refill, which did not surprised me we hardly give that to our dog unless it is really needed, I just do not like it . We have storms and rain, and lightening so we are even told not to drive if we can avoid it . Imagine been three hours away from the vet in the middle of a storm, I mean if a veterinary is not reasonable, I cannot trust my dog to a place where they have a robot answering the phone in such an insensitive way.

Update: Just wonderful! Caring & very affordable! We got our pup from the county & had a list of vets who would do a free first appointment & they had the best reviews so we came here. Unfortunately not only did our pup have kennel cough but several other ailments that needed to be treated over the period of about 3 months. Needless to say we got to know the staff pretty well pretty quickly. Dr. Senter has been just wonderful! She is super down to earth & you can tell she is such an animal lover! The entire staff is friendly & great with animals & our Tucker loves everyone there. Not to mention how VERY reasonable all their prices are! They nursed him back to health with love & compassion & didnt care if he got scared about getting poked from a vaccine & urinated a little on them (happened a couple times & they rolled with it with a smile like it was just part of their everyday job). I seriously feel very blessed we found such a great clinic with such an affordable prices! On a side note Im guessing they are able to keep down costs because they are in a little bit of an older building BUT they have done some updating & painting since we first started bringing our dog & its looking nicer all the time :). We LOVE them & couldnt be more happy we found them!! P.S. They dont offer any incentives for this Google review that I know of...this is simply done because they are a great clinic with a great staff!

After having bad experiences at two previous vets, it was a huge relief to find CMVH! We have two dogs and two cats already, and recently found a stray on the streets that was in very poor condition. Since we never planned on having a 5th animal, we were not prepared to take on the expense of all of his veterinary bills. We got the spay and neuter voucher from Maricopa Countys SNAP program, which CMVH was happy to accept. Our new dog also had a bad infection in his mouth and needed a teeth cleaning and ended up getting 13 teeth removed! CMVH helped us out tremendously by cutting the cost down for us on the removal of all of those teeth. If we had stuck with our previous vet, our bill would have been triple the price! On top of that, Dr Senter and her husband, Lou, were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable regarding any questions we had. We received a follow up call the next day to see how our dog was doing, and scheduled a free check up in two weeks to make sure everything looks good. CMVH will be seeing all five of our animals from now on!

I drive 45+ minutes to see Dr. Senter. I used to live around the corner and that was fabulous. However, my pets are my family and I dont want to trust their care to anyone else so I make the drive. Luckily my dogs love car rides:) Im not one to write reviews normally but I saw a comment by someone here that mentioned Dr. Senter having her baby in the background and that her family has become her priority... Im sorry that person wasnt happy with their experience, I, on the otherhand, love that the Dr. has been able to bring all 3 of her kids to work with her. I personally would rather have someone care for my kids that makes her own a priority. Creating a work/life balance is difficult at best and she does what she has to to have that while still working the crazy hours that come with running her own hospital. On the extra benefit side of Dr. Senter bringing her babies to work is that I get baby snuggle time when I am there.
