I couldnt say enough good things about Topaz. We had a very sick dog for a good year and a half, and no vet could accurately diagnose her condition. She was on meds and was stable but not a happy dog. Not something you want to see for any dog, let alone one who was only around 1 1/2 years old at the time. We heard about Dr. B & the team from my coworkers and scheduled an appointment to bring her in. We brought all of the paper work of the tests that we had already had done on our dog and he read through them thoroughly. He figured out a diagnosis based on experience he has had with dogs not testing positive sometimes for Valley Fever, and had us start on medicine for that. Now she is the happiest and most active little girl and it is all thanks to him! He came up with the diagnosis by thinking about it and putting things together based on her symptoms, rather then immediately suggesting our dog undergo a series of expensive and painful tests. After all we had been through and the next steps we had suggested to us by other vets, this was a huge relief! Any time we have a question we can send an email and get a response within hours at the most, from Dr. B himself. I cant say enough how much I appreciate him and everyone at Topaz. I recommend them to anyone who is looking for a veterinary office that they trust! We are so grateful we brought our girl here when everyone else told us to give up, or pay up! Thank you guys for being the best! :)

I dont know how this place has such a great review rating. I feelTopaz has a dirty doctor that tries to scare you into the absolute worse things that can be wrong with your animal and tries to sell the most expensive testing. My dog, I noticed was peeing a little bit of blood. Yes, definitely something to be concerned about. We went to Topaz, and before I could get an appt., I had to get a urine sample. I couldnt do it so went back and they gave me a tray that holds test tubes to try and collect. I went outside and got some, but it wasnt enough. Long story short, I can either get do $14 antibiotics that in the doctors opinion wont work, or I can do $1300 in tests that will tell us what is going on. In a debate with the "doctor", I elected to try the antibiotics. Literally, mid-sentence, she said, "Ill be right back". I waited about 10 minutes and never saw her again. In the end, this was about two years ago, the antibiotics worked, but still, for about 3 weeks, I got calls from the clinic to schedule a $25 follow-up.

My experience here was amazing despite my circumstance. I had rescued a Dog that ended up being terminal. At first I had called to check them out and they were very patient and took the time it needed to answer all my questions and give me reassurance. I came in the next day and the care and attention to my new friend was unforgettable. They made sure she was as comfortable as she could be. Offered a padded mat, water and love. The nurse and Dr. B. were wonderful. My friend warmed right up to the doctor and right away I could tell she wasnt as scared. He went over our options as best and sensitively as he could. They gave me the time that I needed to say my goodbyes. Although this was the hardest and most heartbreaking experience I have ever had I didnt feel alone. For that support, I can never be thankful enough. Doctor B also sent me a card thanking me for my courage which warmed my heart in such a hurt time. Thank you all so much!

Dr. B at Topaz has been great with both our dogs. We have had dogs with a range of chronic medical issues and he is very up to date on treatment options, and is great at answering all my millions of questions. He is the only vet I have seen who responds to emails regularly and is very accessible for any questions. He clearly cares a lot about pets and encourages questions to make sure you understand what is going on with your pet and how to treat them. He also knows a lot about compounding pharmacies and inexpensive ways to get medications, so that has been helpful for us. His staff is also wonderful, they all know us and our pets by name and we can always count on great service and support from whoever answers the phone when we call. We will never take our pets anywhere else.

I really cant say enough good things about the doctors at Topaz. They truly care for your pets. While I dont have a ton of experience with veterinarians, I do know good people when I meet them and I know how much they helped my family and I when it was time for our dog to be put down. They made an extremely hard situation more bearable for us. While I dont have a lot of experience with veterinarians, my wife has had many more experiences with them and she is also a very big fan of Topaz. As Tempe residents, we are so happy to have found Topaz and to have them help us care for our family pets. Honest, fair people who truly care.

I have been a client of this place for 20 years or more. Dr. B and his wife dr. Marcy Ozzie best bar none veterinarians that one could ask for. I have taken my fur babies to them for routine appointments when theyve been sick and when Ive had to deal with the sad point of making a decision about their life. In each case I expected then and received nothing but the best and therefore I will continue to take my furbabies there for the rest of my life. If you are looking for a wonderful that that truly cares and there are good people at heart this is the place to take your loved ones

Ive been raving about this place and Dr. Sarah Marzke for days now to anyone that will listen, my dog has been seeing another vet for near 12 years and its always been a nightmare of this or that, this was so comfortable and caring, they answered any questions I had and ones I didnt even think to ask. She went went above and beyond checking all my concerns out on my almost 12 year old pup. I walked out beaming that my dog was finally in good hands, ones who seemed to care about my animal like her own. Im ecstatic. Thank you so much!!!!

The staff here is wonderful and I never feel as though they are over-prescribing/testing my three dogs in an effort to get more money. Dr. B and Dr. Marzke are incredible and they were both very patient when I first moved to valley and had tons of questions about life with dogs in the desert. The clinic is small and I never feel rushed or that Im being a bother. They seem to genuinely care about my kids well being. I tell everyone I know to take their furchildren to Topaz

We rescued 2 chihuahuas from bad conditions, and one of them started having diarrhea while the other always had eye problems. They squeezed me in twice because of my extremely busy schedule even when I had to cancel last minute. They were even supportive of the fact weve sought out adopting dogs from poor conditions - it was so nice. My dogs were so calm and happy the whole time we were there. Sweet, awesome people.
