Allow me to start by saying that I have, and have had for years, a petrifying and somewhat irrational fear of the dentist. As a kid, I had a traumatic experience (extraction of four adult teeth to "make room" before my braces) that has kept me from seeking the dental care I needed for several years. Finally, I decided that I had to do something about it, and I turned to my insurer (and the internet) for suggestions. I am so grateful to have come across Dr. Millet and his staff in my search! I called and explained my fear to his receptionist, asking if theyd be willing handle a fearful, possibly difficult new patient like me, and she was so kind and accommodating right away. She helped me put my fears aside, and scheduled an appointment for me to have X-rays done and where I could "get to know" the staff. At the initial appointment, I was nervous, but Dr. Millet and his staff allayed my fears enough to get me to schedule the cleaning and dental work that I had been putting off for a long time. I was allowed a small prescription that would help ease my anxiety for the duration of the next visit, when Id have my cleaning and work done. The medicine worked so well, I actually slept through both of my alarms and missed the beginning of my appointment! (Whoops...) I was so worried Id have to reschedule and go through the mental preparation again, but the office was incredibly understanding and accommodating, and despite my being late, they were still willing to see me and to take care of my dental needs. The appointment itself was a blur, for which Im grateful, and I left with a much healthier, more protected mouth and a renewed vigor for maintaining my dental health. Thank you so much, Dr. Millet and staff, for taking great care of me. I was really nervous about getting the care I needed... but your warmth and kindness allowed me to put those fears aside, so that I could get my oral health back in check! I wish Id taken the initiative to come see you sooner, and I hope that this post will encourage others to seek out the help they need!

The BEST dentist around, coming from a health professional myself! Dr Millet is a perfectionist and practices the way any dentist should. I came to him after seeing my former dentist since birth, who left crowns in my mouth with wide open margins leading to gum disease. At the first visit , Dr Millet showed me the x rays and gave me a crash course in dental radiology so that I understood how my crowns looked and what a proper crown should look like. The x rays were of the highest quality and my gum pocket scores were also checked ( something my former dentist hadnt done in the 29 years I saw him ). Although this news was very alarming and worrisome, I am so grateful I came to Dr Millet because he has SAVED my oral health. I had every single crown redone the proper way, which was not cheap, but definitely necessary after everything I learned about dentistry. Dr Millet takes the time to answer all of his patients questions, provide explanations, and never rushes anything. He has sent multiple crowns back to the lab numerous times to make changes until the contact and margins are PERFECT. Even though this results in more staff hours for him (costing him more $) having to remove temporary and add another, etc he does it anyway and that is how a dentist should practice. My prior dentist cemented the crowns from the lab every single time, regardless of the fit. He never sent one back. I cant say enough wonderful things about Dr. Millet!!! Lois is the receptionist and she is also phenomenal. She will go out of her way to give you estimates through different insurance providers to help you chose the best, most affordable plan based on the care that you need. She always greets me with a smile and even went out of her way to teach me about the best dental floss and gave me a sample. She remembers when I have vacations and always makes it a point to ask me about them. This place has really become my second home over the last few months!

I got a Groupon for Exam, cleaning and X-ray. Waited a month for appointment. Went in today. I had a root canal at another dentist 2 months ago and had a full set of X-rays. I told them that I wanted to skip the X-rays as not necessary to expose to more radiation. Yes, maybe I am a bit neurotic about this. They said they couldnt do the cleaning without X-rays. Ok, can I get you the films from my previous dentist and reschedule as I did not realize I HAD to get X-rays for a cleaning? They say this is "the law". Ok, thats cool but Im not familiar with dental law and did not know this and no one said I had to get them when I talked with them scheduling/confirming appt and no one said send X-rays from previous dentist over. They said they couldnt wait for this. Ok, can I reschedule I ask. Thats when things get embarrassing... The receptionist proceeds to berate me in front of the waiting room about how they dont make money off Groupon and they barely cover their costs and they would NEVER reschedule a lowly Groupon customer such as myself and how they have wasted this time slot already as it could have been filled with an actual paying customer. I tell her we all know that Groupon is to get new customers not make money and I find it offensive that she would even mention this to me and she just basically said sorry, not sorry. At this point I certainly did not feel comfortable staying and having sharp instruments near my mouth :( Oh, and the office reeked like cigarettes which is not a good feel for your dentists office.

I have been a patient of Dr. Millet for over 5 years. I am in my 60s and I have had a number of dental problems over the years. Dr. Millet and his staff have been outstanding in the care and concern they have provided to me. Without a doubt, the care I have received from Dr. Millet and his team has been the best I have ever received. Dr. Millet is very caring and very professional. He takes the time to explain procedures to me and helps me understand what needs to be done. His front desk person, Lois, is phenomenal! Like Dr. Millet, she is very caring and professional. Whether it involves an emergency, simply rescheduling an appointment, or helping me understand my dental insurance, Lois is always willing to help. Once while traveling in France, I developed an infection in a tooth and it was terribly painful. I emailed Dr. Millet who responded immediately with information as to what antibiotic I needed. I was able to have the prescription filled right away and enjoyed the rest of my trip free of pain. My most recent treatment involved two implants (complicated by my need for a sinus lift and need for a bone graft). I must say I am delighted with my “new teeth” - they are a perfect fit! I also have nothing but high praise for his hygienist, Holly. She is awesome! It is without hesitation that I highly recommend Dr. Millet and his entire staff. Nancy I

I have been going to Scottsdales Dentist for several years on a regular basis, and have been a very satisfied patient. Dr. Millet and his staff, including Lois (the very efficient and concerned receptionist), and Holly (the "super cleaning" dental hygienist), are just very nice people. I love this office as it is essentially a one-stop dental office that can take care of all my dental needs. That dental care also involved six tooth implants, of which I am most pleased with the "finished" product. I have been coming to this office for well over 35 years, and when the previous dentist left and Dr. Millet took over this dental practice, I was very concerned how this "new dentist" would be. I was not disappointed. If one has to go to a dentist, and I recommend that one does, this is THE place to go.
