I will never go to this office again! This is my first pregnancy so of course naturally I was nervous anyway. This place does not take the time to truly get to know their patience. The staff is grouchy and unprofessional. They had told me results for blood work that were extremely important and still canceled on me that day without telling me anything about my results when I also had an ultra sound as well. Dr.McCauley was who I had planned on seeing but I also heard from someone else that she was 10 hours late when she was giving birth and had nobody else here to even help her deliver so she was kept waiting that entire time. When it came time to get results for my blood work she had me waiting for almost an hour and literally talked to me for about 5 minutes about it and the information she gave me was useless. I found out more online than from her. And to top it all off she didnt even realize whoever does her scheduling didnt schedule me for the ultra sound again! Like do you not look at your patience charts to see what they need and dont need? Even the ladies at the front desk are rude, they all act like they hate their job. This place made me wait a month and a half to get an ultrasound I shouldve had months ago and I still havent gotten it. I switched doctors immediately. So unprofessional there and it is not a comforting environment at all. I would not recommend this place to anyone

Please understand, my experience with Dr. Eckel happened 17 years ago. At the time, there was little way to look for reviews. Due to the fact that I am looking for a gynocologist for my own daughter, I noticed Valley OB/GYN on the list. At this time, it is noteworthy to share my experience. Due to an infection that was not treated properly, I ended up having an emergency hysterectomy-oorphorecyomy and almost died to to poor care. The surgery was finally schedule on emergency basis. I hemorrhage and was operated agin within 24 hours. I was sent home too early, and within 12 hours had an ambulance rush me back to the hospital. In total, I had 2 blood transfusions, with a baby at home, and her brother, who was 20 months older. I was dismissed at the time of infection, which is when I had every possible test from belly down. I should have known better when there was green vaginal discharge, however, Dr. Eckrl dismissed the report due to a contaminated result. I had an infection that went untreated.. A tragedy. Besides the expense,I was thrown into surgical menopause with a patch put on my back and no follow through. A lesson learned. When in pain-scream louder. I tried to sue. Almost. I do not recommend Dr. Eckel.

Yep, another bad review for them... take everyones advice and just steer clear of this place. I ignored it and here I am. The front staff simply should not be in a Customer Service role. They stick to what their job is, literally wont even get you a form from another desk. No greeting upon entering, told to hold my pee "just in case". Thats reasonable, but then I waited 30 minutes beyond my appointment time just to get into the room, then another ~10 for the Dr. to come in. Most recently I was transferred to a voicemail mid sentence. I was told originally that I would be able to receive Nexplanon at my visit, then learned at my visit that would not be the case. Here I am a month later and they just called to tell me its not covered. I have hard copy correspondence with my provider clearly saying Nexplanon is covered at 100%. I was informed I needed to hash it out with Nexplanon. I called Nexplanon and two different reps told me that the Drs office was not telling me the whole truth and that I was never actually denied. I will never return and its a shame because the Dr. is actually great.

Its hard to schedule appts here as the docs are booked way ahead. Also, I asked to see another doc in their practice and was told that they have a policy of not transferring patients to another doc. What??? In 2007, I was about 11 weeks into my 1st pregnancy when I started spotting. The 3rd day of spotting, I called but was just told over the phone to get bed rest. 5th or 6th day of spotting, called & still not asked to come in. I had an appt scheduled a month ago that coincided with my 10th day of spotting, so I went in and found out that I had a miscarriage. I wish Dr Eckel had seen me earlier (even if he probably couldnt do anything about the miscarriage), it would have shown that he cared more for his patients. Other that than, Dr Eckel was decent and had good bedside manners. I didnt feel uncomfortable with him at all. Also, I just had my annual exam on 1/9/09 with Audrey, a nurse practitioner and I have to say that shes very personable, friendly and she made me feel very comfortable during the exam.

I have been going to Valley OBGYN for over 20 years. Dr. Moon delivered my first baby and Dr. Eckel delivered my other. I had a wonderful experience with both of these deliveries. I have had 3 surgeries performed by Dr. Eckel. I continue to send my friends to this practice when they ask me where I go. My daughters go to Valley OBGYN now. This is by far the best womans care I have ever received and I get a reminder call each year before my visit or my daughters visits that we have scheduled. We can get in to see the NP when any of us have any symptoms that come on quick and I continue to go every year for my well woman visit to see Dr. Eckel.

Ive been waiting over three weeks to get a paper to get my IUD replaced. Every time I call, I have to leave a voicemail. They said the paper would be sent through the post in 1-3 days. Its been weeks. Had to follow up three times to make sure they were actually sending it. This last time however, I called and they never returned my call. Sorry guys, I found a new office and they replaced it within a week. Never going back here. Horrible staff, condescending front office workers. I guess it was a blessing in disguise.

Dr. Martin works at both the Valley Ob/Gyn offices (sometimes in north scottsdale, sometimes in south scottsdale) she is very personable and always takes the time to answer any questions or concerns that i may have. her assistant Tiffany is amazing. She returns phone calls very quickly and is a very sweet person. i have never had any problem scheduling an appointment, even when id call only a week in advance. office staff is nice for the most part. I give it two thumbs up.

I have been a patient for over 17 years. I keep going back to each of my pregnancies. Even if I have to drive across town. I know I am in very good hands here. All the staff are extremely sweet and patient. Dr. McCulley is very professional. She will answer all my questions patiently no matter how many I have. Her nurses are very helpful when I have questions when I call from home. Lesslee, their Ob coordinator couldnt be any sweeter. Thank you Valley Obgyn.
