This is my experience with first visit. When I arrived at the office the receptionist had me fill out my health history even though I filled out out online which negated the time I already spent. She has no idea what I was talking about. Office staff should have been informed about this. I was seen by a nurse practitioner instead of the doctor selected in my health plan welcoming me to his practice as a new patient. I felt belittled and unworthy of this common courtesy. Makes me wonder if there is even a doctor running the practice. Had the exam done and asked if there was anything that would help the itching on my legs caused by diabetes. I was told that a prescription would be called in to the pharmacy. Its been four days and still no medication. I had blood taken in the office and was told I needed to make a follow up appointment in two weeks to go over the test results. When I came out to the reception area to book the appointment no one was there. I wandered around to the back and found them all eating lunch and to come back after their lunch break.

I started going to this office about 3 years ago. Overall it is a nightmare. Very crowded, they constantly overbook patients resulting in long wait times to be seen. If you have a 130 pm appointment, you will be seen at 300 pm. Recently I had 3 prescriptions written for me. When I went to pick them up, only 2 reached the pharmacy howeve it was sent to the wrong pharmacy, resulting in another night of suffering. I also recently had a sleep study, it took Dr Alcantars office approximately 3 weeks to make a couple of faxes and approve sign off for my equipment. 3 people gave me incorrect information more than once. Quality of life for the patients is not a priority here. Very unorganized operations. I urge you to look into other doctors before coming here. I have had so many bad experiences here. I typically do not write reviews and rate anything but I thought this was extremely necessary. This is not how sick people should be treated. And I have never had anyone apologize for there poor behavior.

The rooms have signs posted everywhere about how "it is not our responsibility if..." Just seems stingy and non welcoming. This practice is extremely unorganized. I have come twice to get one physical done and they keep giving me excuses as to why they cant, I do not want an excuse I want a physical! The Dr said he needed to make another appointment for "insurance reasons" yeah, to bill my insurance as much as you can! Also have gone in twice to get bloodwork done and the lady "went home early" once and the second time "she has not arrived yet" which I had to get done immediately because I made an appointment before work. This office does not value your time as a patient and is so unorganized! Do not waste your time coming here (literally). Its too bad decent doctors let their entitled/unorganized admin get in the way of their clients.

Dr. Alcantar himself is a good friendly doctor. However, his staff is uncaring, and snotty at times. You go in for an appointment and wait in the lobby and in the private office for up to 2 hours. When you do get seen, it is rushed because they are "busy". All that waiting for bad service. If you dont see the doctor youll get a nurse who knows little in certain areas of medicine. My familys experience since we came here has not been good. If you make an appointment, bring some reading material (cause they have none) or a sleeping pill so you dont care how long youve waited. Oh and be prepared to take a bunch of tests. Just make sure you know how much youre going to pay for all of it.

Booked and confirmed an 8:30 appointment. They called and changed it to an earlier time. Turned me away at the door for being 20 minutes late for "paperwork" (its why I booked the later appointment). Front desk staff was incredibly rude over the phone when I called to explain I was going to be late, but still told me to come in (I even asked if I needed to reschedule), then spoke about me while at the counter very negatively as if I wasnt even there. In my top 5 worst customer service experiences. Do not recommend.
